Are you able to reverse mount the lens hood on the lens for travel? Or do you have to have the hood stored separate off the body?
@@RogueSplice you can reserve mount it without a problem 🙂
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 Oh awesome thank you!
Geee lose the music!
Hi. Is Lumix g vario 45-200 Lens with power ois compatibile for any teeconverter ? I want to extend my lens as cheap as possibile. Unfortunatelly i am poor but i love bird photography
I have absolutely no idea sadly...
The G6 will show you each frame as it does the time lapse. My Nikon Z6 will not. However, the Z6 will mount on the Ronin SC and the G6 won't because of the articulating screen. I have done a hand-held time lapse with the Z6 on the SC from a moving ferry boat. It was tricky, since I couldn't see what was happening in real time. But the result was worth the effort.
Thank you for such a detailed review. I am VERY new to photography and will be purchasing the lumix G9 Very soon and need some lenses. People like me dont need graphs, charts and all that technical rubbish. We need people like you to go out in the real world and take photos and videos on the hardware we have our eyes on. You showed that this lens ona camera not as sharp as the G9, produces beautifully sharp images and video in quite moody conditions where its cloudy and rainy. Most reviews are on sunny days which maximises the abilities of the camera/lens combo. Thanks to this review, i will be purchasing this lens along with the G9 for my wildlife photography. Keep up the great work :)
Mine wont shoot a burst whats the setup. what have messed up in settings>
have a look at the gx80 i got that with 45-200 for 300 quit
I’m starting to think all the Panasonic kit lens are better then the primes … it always looks much better tbh.
Agreed!
fantastic videos
Thank you 🙂
This lens is on sale at a local video place, was looking to use it for filmmaking. Would it be okay for that kind of thing? Would you know? Thank you!

bad sound quality, back ground music, accent, what else ?
I really like your videos, thanks! Where is te link to the interview?
thank you for the effort and the informative explanation
Is this lens compatible with lumix g7?
Yes! It's a micro four thirds lens.
Great review. New subscriber here.
The mk1 version is compatible with the G85?
Yeah usually all MFT lenses are compatible with all MFT cameras.
Tolles Video.
thank you
I have a G6. I have never tried timelaspe, probably because I hate schleping a tripod around. But, might give it a try. The only thing I don't like about this camera is the wonky AF. I wish Panasonic would fix this. But, for the money, used, it's hard to go wrong.
What video settings do you recommend using when shooting with the G6? How do you shoot slow-motion?
Ideally you use shutter priority and set the shutter speed to double the frame rate. So 1/50 for 25p and 1/100 for 50p. You'll probably need and ND filter for that if you shoot outside though if you want to keep the aperture low. For slow motion set the frame rate to 50p and in editing set the video rate to 25p. That slows the clip down to 1/2 speed. How you do this exactly depends mostly on your editing software. The important part is to have the clip recorded in the higher frame rate.
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 Thanks for responding.
I have a Panasonic GH5 I am in no hurry to upgrade anytime soon.
So there is not a big difference between 12-60 in 25mm and 25mm 1.7
Instant sub
With the 4x teleconverter is turned on g9 i get some focus jumping
Prime and Zoom???? Use 25mm 1.4

appreciate the video, can you go further with it though and test the 1.7 at 2 and 2.8 and an equal stop.
cool info
Can you get Clean HDMI out from this camera? I just want to use it for streaming. I do not want to record what I stream on the camera itself.
I have no idea sorry 😕
A great real life review of this lens. Are you still happy with the lens and is it sharp enough? Thanks
I had very decent results with it but I got the 100-300mk2 for its longer reach and subsequently sold the 45-200 as I did not use it anymore. It's the better multi purpose lens of the two but the 100-300 is the better dedicated wildlife lens. I made a comparison video of the two as well.
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 ok thanks for the reply. I think ultimately I will probably get the 100-300mm. Are you happy with that?
@@AlexMcDougallPhotography it's a fantastic lens if you are serious about wildlife photography. It's to expensive (and bit as flexible) to be your "I need to have a Tele lens sometines"
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 Planning to use it for landscape and fast jet photography.

Very nice video
would love to see the 45-200mm 4-5.6 mk2 vs 50-200mm 2.8-4
Sorry I sold my 45-200 mk2 and don't own the 50-200mm =(
I would like to buy 25 mm . Now I have 12-32 mm of Panasonic. What do u think about it? Can I see any difference? There are no comparisons on internet
I can't say as I don't own the 12-32. If you need low light capabilities and bokeh the 25mm will be better.
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 I would like to zoom little more and get something sharper. I saw also olympus 45 1.8 and panasonic 45-100 f4/5.6 . I really don't know which one of them could have a better result!
I think that a fair comparison would have been with both lens at the same aperture
How to change the language
The G80 and G90 versions don‘t have a maximum videorecording time, if i‘m not mistaking.
hi im currently using 60d canon. but planning to move to mft because of stabilization for run and gun shooting on handheld, better sharpness and smaller compact camera easy to carry around. because im tired carrying around the monopod especially during special events like weddings, its kinda took long time to move from monopod to flycam/gimbal. do you think its good? im planning to get g85 that comes with 14-42 lens and also 25mm 1.7 because thats the only camera with kit that suits my budget. do you think its kinda miss moving from aps-c to mft? since i always love to shoot scene bokeh for more cinematic, i realize that panasonic have 25mm 1.7 but when converting to 35mm focal length and dof do you think its good enough? i dont really mind about autofocus since i prefer manual focus, on gimbal seems no problem as well for autofocus since its able to tap focus or using focus wheel on gimbal. so i would like to know your opinion since im planning to change my camera very soon. thanks
I think MFT is superior to APS-C in almost every way. Sure the bigger sensor will make having a nice bokeh easier but I think that is offset by MFT having better lenses. You can use it without making any sounds which especially for weddings is very good. So I'd say it is a vast improvement, but I am a MFT fan boy so maybe I'm not the best person to go to for advise 😅
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 based on your experience do you think the bokeh is creamy enough? Or you're planning to get lens with 1.2 or 1.4
@@morpheusmorph13 for me it is enough, I seldom do stuff with a lot of bokeh though. I think the 1.7 is cheap enough and has a very good resale value (you should always buy camera stuff used in my opinion) so that it is a low risks purchase to try. The 1.4 and 1.2 are a lot more expensive so maybe first try the 1.7 to see if you like the system.
Instagram is becoming next facebook. Really annoying to use full of ads and spams. I have given up with fb and Instagram and found best alternative called. www.FLEEPED.com It's way better them both fb and insta put together. Much better layout and design and much nicer to use.
Quel enthousiasme c'est dingue !
Good job with the Livestream. I share your work because I want people to turn away from the shit-show and focus on what's important.
Which is the Aperture where the 12-60 kit lens are more sharp?
I tried but I didn't see a difference in sharpness stopping down so I'd say wide open is already great.
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 I created this 4K video with the 12-60 kit lens and it does not look sharp. That's why I think I am doing something wrong, and I was asking for the sweet spot. m.th-cam.com/video/L9Ni62ZCfDE/w-d-xo.html
I am between buying the 42.5mm and then the 25mm or the kit lens leica 12 - 16 and then save much money to get the 42.5, I am so confused ahah my main goan are videos and portraits
I don't own either 42.5mm nor the Leica 12-60mm so I can't really say anything about them. What I've read though is that the Leica 12-60mm is not a lot better than the Panasonic.
@@trembichmovingmoments8778 Thank you! if I get the g9 + Lumix 25mm f1.7, which other lens would you recommend me to compliment it? Would the 42.5mm would be a good idea then? I would prefer to take advantage of the dual IBIS (on a budget lens and also another lens in a mid budget)
@ well for me two primes would be to limiting. I don't shoot many portraits though. I can absolutely recommend the Panasonic 12-60mm which is waterproof and dual is2 compatible. The 45-200mm mark 2 is both too and also very good and relatively cheap if you prefer some more telephoto. For Videography, and in a higher price range, the Leica 8-18mm is supposed to be great and also supports Dual IS2 and is weathersealed.
shit example
Hi there! I have the G6 and I absolutely love this camera!! It's a great all around camera, which you can also change lenses to do some fun type stuff!! Highly recommend!! I won't sell this one, it's a keeper!! A lot smaller than the bigger DSLRs: Super compact, but super badass!!
