You really have one of the best Airgun reviews on the internet. Thanks to you I now own the Diana Bandit in .22 12 FPE version and will soon be turned into efficient little monster. I really appreciate how thorough you are with the guns in you reviews. The PP800 may just be the best bang for the buck out there in a multi shot PCP pistol. I love what you did with the chaser and swapping parts in your last pistol video. Very creative and functional. Thanks again and take care.

As a lefty (these are ambidextrous) I need to mention the Hammerli AP20 target pistol, the grip is so modular that it can be adapted for either hand, the vertical cocking arm can be swapped to either side, extremely accurate and affordable at the £500 (give or take) price point including case, two different styles of air cylinders: a traditional long one and a short stumpy one; these can also be attached horizontally or vertically with a built in rotating adaptor as part of the pistol, it also has match grade trigger that is extremely adjustable internally and externally. The other pistol that is ambidextrous, very accurate and fun is the Rohm Twinmaster, this can use a single shot or an 8 shot magazine (small metal disc style with no annoying springs) and can be shot as a double action revolver (no need to pre-cock) or in single action using the hammer which can be protected/hidden by a cover. It comes with match grade adjustable fibre optic sights as standard but can accept rails as well for optics.

Very good presentation. I am an owner of a Steyr LP10 and an Artemis PP800. Here is my knowledge contribution:
I've got my LP10 three years ago second hand, at 700€ while already had an 11 years life. Since then, I roughly shooted another 78000 shots (approx 500-600 per month). I only changed a few o-rings and a hammer spring. This gun worths every penny if you practice 10m target shooting and if anybody comes across a good second hand one, never had a second thought about it, it is an investment. Brand new they cost around 1800€. They are really fun to shoot, laser accurate and beautiful to hold.
I've got my PP800, 5.5mm as a budget back pack gun and a "tunning project". Cost me 204€ + 85€ for an altaros regulator+65€ for various tuning spares like adj hammer, springs etc. Reg.Set at 80bar, tension adjustable soft spring produces 30 good shots at around 8ft-lbr. Just with the spring, can set it to 5 ft-lbr and get 50shots from 210-80 bar. Reg. at 110 bar I can get 9ft-lbr and 20shots. Open sighted or with a red dot, easily can put down pigeons from 15-40 metets (done it, single handed), no problem. This is a really fun tool for field usage, highly tunable, worths every penny I put on it. My next aim is to get 10ft-lbr for pest control up to 50m.
Some people may think: "You invested 354€ on this Chinese staff + tunning time, does it worth it?" To me, yes, some other people may prefer to pay the extra price of getting quality and peace of mind (e.g. FX Ranchero, HW 44, Calibrgun Ocelot) or power (hatsan sortie, or ATP2),
I never thought of getting any of CO2 replicas, they are nice to hold and see, but no functional and not accurate at all (due to CO2 reducing pressure shoot after shot).
The one pistol I am really eager waiting for review and purchase, is the Artemis PP750, a hybrid between a pp800, a pp700 with the looks of LP400..., and retractable stock, 235€ at Krale ... these SMK Chinese, know their business!!!

The PP800 still going strong ?

    Hi Andy,
I know this is quite an old video but I've only recently found and become a fan of your channel. Thank you for all the effort you put in. It's simply great.
I wanted to bring a point to your attention however, regarding the airing up of PCP weapons and the use of the bleed valve post filling.
I'm not sure how manufacturers specify as I've never owned one. I do think that the bleed valve should be left open until the fill valve is removed from the gun. This makes more sense to me because should the tank valve be letting by, the hose could potentially be re-pressurised if there were a delay between turning off the tank valve and removing the fill valve from the gun.
Just a thought and again, thanks so much for the great videos and brilliant reviews. I'll keep watching.
    Jamie

Good vid, very informative but you left out the good old multi - pump pneumatics. The crosman 1377s and the 1322s and sheridan hb22 pistols, the crosman 2200 magnums the 1300s the 760 pumpmatics and the sharp innova, s, sheridan bluestreaks etc. I own a nice customised 1322 pistol carbine., and its great, powerful and cheap until you catch the modding bug ,and it also helps keep your arm, s nicely toned with the work out you get pumping it. All the best from lancashire.

Hi Andy; I have been following your channel for some time and enjoy your impartial approach to reviewing the airguns and related products. I have now retired from work and would very much like to take up air pistol target shooting, at 10 metres level.
I have have found two clubs in my locality, in South Manchester UK. However, I would very much like your opinion, and a review, of some pistols at the budget end of the market please. I'm not intending to go all out trying to get into 'serious' competition as my eyes are just not up to it. And, really, I just want a pastime to enjoy myself, without the stress of getting too involved, as I have other hobbies too.
I have brake barrel pistols in mind, at first, and maybe other formats, like PCP types later on. Also, a review of 177 target pellets would be very much appreciated. Thanks for a great informative channel. Kind regards, Mike

I've watched a few of your exceptional videos and enjoyed the detailed content. I've been wanting to get back into airguns, but my Beeman airgun (the Giss piston system) requires significant rebuilding. The PCP option seems like a nice place to start but the initial investment is considerable compared to my old Beeman. The Diana Badger seems like a reasonable place to start. But I do have some questions regarding the use of an air tank for refilling. If say I have a 4 liter tank that can be charged to something around 4000 psi, how many airgun fillings can I get on that tank before it needs to be refilled? I'm assuming once the air tank falls below 3000 psi it can no longer pressurize the gun to its optimum level. Is there a way to depressurize the gun when done shooting? Is moisture an issue? Thanks for any help/suggestions you have. Rich

If PCP manufacturers made the Electronic pumps for these substantially cheaper they would sell so many more guns and accessories.
Me and all my buddies and a few uncles have always wanted them but having to dump so much money into compressed air is unfortunately not feasible.
Think about the I phone for example, it is sold at a loss so they can make money on the back end.
Same thing happens in most business, you make money on some items and loose money on others but in the end it all equals profit. The community getting bigger is what’s important.

A semi automatic 6ftlbs pistol would be a game changer, I wonder which manufacturer will do it first

@Wheaten Zoomies The Aeron B96 is Co2 powered and runs around 3fpe if you're lucky. There's no way you'd get anywhere near 6fpe with those. In perfect working order they're great, out of sync they're paperweights.

@Wheaten Zoomies Storing them internally won't be enough.Even a brew cylinder won't help as it would still be 1000psi tops no matter how big the supply. Compressed air at up to 200 bar would have a chance,it's a pity the gun wouldn't as it is only designed for Co2 and would likely give way under the pressure.
The Steyr LP50 is more suitable as it's pneumatic but costs considerably more.I've had a few B96s,you can shoot all 5 pellets in less than 2 seconds and are good fun and accurate
