Air pistol target 10 mtr target has interested me for years but never had the funds to do it, but this gun puts the sport well within the range of a lot more people and in these trying times for shooting sports we need all the interest we can get.

Nice review Andy thanks, They are actually built to shoot high Andy, as your sight picture is based on focusing on the foresight at the six o clock position on the “black” on a 10m pistol target, not the bullseye, doesn’t look a bad piece of kit, but high powered though, 3-4 fpe is more the norm.

Air Venturi V10/Gamo Compact is your cheapest option for a match-legal pistol. And saving money on targets when practicing: Use air rifle targets (5 targets 1 sheet) at 5 meters instead of pistol targets at 10 meters (1 target 1 sheet). The black area on the air rifle targets is exactly half the size of the black part of the air pistol target, so shooting at 5 meters makes it basically the same. Except holes will be bigger comparably, and the numbers are different, but for practice, this doesn't really matter.

Thanks Andy, another nice one. Having a small garden, 10m max diagonally (not Diagon Alley!), pistol shooting suits and I picked up an Artemis PP800 at the British Shooting Show last year for a very good price. • @jeffslade1892

The PP800 is the PCP version of my CO2 CP2 I have set up as target pistol, carved wooden CP1 grip and all, but with a red dot because I cannot see straight. Because it is more difficult and because that is more challenging and that is fun. The PP20 is regulated and so is the PP800R Gen2, and so is the CP2 running on CO2 because the vapour pressure remains constant on any given session.

Oh, I've been waiting for this one - I had this bought earlier in the year having just taken up the sport, and it went back after a month. Grip was undersized and not particularly ergonomic at all out the box on the thumb location or the palm shelf by the wrist joint for me with a 9.3cm palm width and is terrible compared to the default grips on more expensive pistols. Mine leaked air through the regulator when the cylinder was attached/detached which is ultimately why it went back, but was also really fussy on pellet placement, constantly needing the pellet to be pushed past the breech seal as the pin wouldn't push straight so the pellets would get stuck half the time which I saw you also had an issue with. Got better with the quality of pellet used, but was still present even using R10s.
I couldn't get this to give a clean break on the trigger, no matter how I adjusted it always felt a bit rough pulling through. Also worth noting that this is a heavy pistol coming in just shy of 1200g so it's about 20% heavier than market leaders and required a lot of grip to keep in in my hand, something less prevalent with more ergonomic and lighter weight pistols and worth bearing in mind for those in comments saying it might be good for juniors. In the end, I decided it was worth my money going with a second hand pistol at just over twice the price, and I have got more than twice the sum of the parts of the PP20 for that. With all that said, it did shoot well enough for someone new to the sport (as I am) to have countinued to use it if they were happy with the negatives, but if they were semi-serious about the sport they'd be upgrading in no time at all I think. I think with a few tweaks, this could be a great entry level pistol.

If I were into 10 meter silhouette shooting this would be a very affordable pistol for just such a purpose. Some of these silhouette pistols can get extremely expensive. Good video, and a super accurate pistol that looks much more expensive than it is. I know people do not like touch on the subject of hunting with air pistols in the UK, especially when speaking about a 177, but whilst you were out shooting a target and a bit of small game or vermin got in the way of the target, the Snowpeaks superb accuracy at 5.45ftlbs within 10metres, and you were confident with your capabilities, it would work fine at that range and at that power. All the best from Lancashire.

Got a bit of a Snowpeak thing going on at the moment I see. While I don't shoot this type of gun myself I can appreciate the time and effort put in by the guy's who do. I do have some pistols, mostly Co2 stuff, but I do have an SMK Victory PP700w with a removeable stock. While I don't use it as a target pistol but more as very short rifle with a red dot I can see and understand the satisfaction that the accuracy of a sorted pistol and shooter can bring. Great vid by the way.

It looks like these will become available in the States, so I'm paying more attention now. Did we mention that something seems to be happening about the muzzle? At a glance it looks like there's a muzzle brake/air stripper kind of thing and also some perforations in the barrel. These seem like kind of high end features, but it might also just be cosmetic? This also happens. There doesn't seem to be much muzzle flip. It's about a third the price of the thing it's trying to look like, more like the price I'm paying for used match pistols that are thirty years old or more on eBay.

Regarding the gauge issue, when we want to have resolution at 200bar, the gauge has to have a higher limit than that. We have more precision when filling the tank when reaching the 200bar mark. Also, 200bar is not the maximum the tank can hold, but, not being a knowledgeble person about this particular topic, probably the nominal pressure the gun works at.

Andy, I bought this pistol and unscrewed the cylinder, but there isn't a small hole to screw the fill adapter? Where did you find the price to screw in the fill adapter? A patient air gunner wants to know. 🙏🏼😇

Nice review! Do you know if the air cylinder is compatible with existing brands? (Steyr, Walther...)

I hope this pistol had its release date back on the first of April because that thing looks like a joke
It might just be my bias towards more classic looking rifles and pistol but I don’t care how good of a pistol that is, I ain’t ever gonna think about buying that

Not sure where all this firing is coming from on a Snowpeak Target Air pistol 🔫
    Nice looking pistol to shoot.

A proper target pistol for £400.00 is an INCREDIBLE bargain.

Does anyone know if this will take a Steyr grip? As they don’t appear to do a left hand grip i though maybe I could use one of these.

Looking quite impressive to be honest… test targets are fired from clamped machine rests, no shame on that 👍👍👍
Excellent price point for a beginner…

How about a new review after some us? Friend of mine bought one, standard grip is too small and not adjustable enough. A few sessions of use later it start giving problems, not shooting, leaking air etc. Had to change an o-ring. Solved it but a few shots later started to leak again. Pure rubbish and waste of money. Just my 2 cts.
