I lived in Holland when I was very young. I saw the Dutch reverse racing on our tiny black and white TV and was mesmerized. I had a large toy car collection with one blue Renault hatchback. Pretty much the only Euro type small car in my collection. Most of the time I would have this car go backwards because of seeing those races.
2:00 I loved that program, it was not just racing but also driving on 2 wheels, driving a cart (man-powered) over a canal on ropes driving bicycles over increasingly narrower planks etc. And the best thing is, it's narrated by a comedian...

Train racing reminds me days when me and my friends gather together on top of the Mt.Chilliad in SAMP with tow trucks connecting all off them and driving of the mountain.

I invented french fry racing in the '70s...if you cut a frozen fry to just enough length to power it the length of the fryer basket (steam from the cut end), and you pick one with the most sleek profile, you can be a champion (between rushes, of course). Hull selection is crucial, as a bent one will run in circles. Great show!

Dajiban was incredibly recent and it's awesome that you covered these massive SWB Vans with Kei-car-sized tires. The reason people get away with the yearly inspection in Japan despite having lowered suspension, yellow headlights, a spoiler held on with clamps, Watanabe wheels specific to that Dodge Van's lug pattern (because so many people with the Vans asked for them), and a 383 Chevy bolted down next to the driver's seat, is that though some of them are modifications, Japanese inspectors have never seen Dodge Vans on their shores so they just kind of assume the yellow headlights and bumper scraping clearance is, to some extent, completely stock.
My dad used to work at a truck company, and was selected as their racing driver. He even raced at Silverston and Brands Hatch, his CB radio callsign being "Diesel Demon". Such a cool dad, it has to be said

Power wheels and the kids bike racing are my favorite, I’m gonna combined the two and build my kid a 10 HP corvette power wheels so he can fly past all the other kids
Superstocks team racing in New Zealand pretty good (the normal racing goods as well). it's oval dirt track racing with armored 500hp V8 cars full contact is allowed first team to have a car complete the required laps wins, you usually have 3 blockers and 2 runners blockers block runners try to win. at the start of the race whoever has the pole line can position there cars any where on the track on the inside line , the other team gets to put its cars around the tack so long as the grid order is maintained(no putting two cars in between 1st and 3rd etc)
Trailer racing, double decker racing, and train racing were all like a monthly thing at my local racetrack Rocky Mountain raceways that was unfortunately shutdown a year or so ago. The owners sold it but I'll always have those memory's of seeing 2 VW bugs stacked onto of eachother doing a donut and flipping over.

5:44 I was at this race on top of the Sunoco building broadcasting my camera to the Colossus Screen. Half way through the race, the engine from the black truck blew up right behind me and shook the stadium.
So here are 2 things not included on the list: 1. Duo sierra racing. Its on dirt track in the Netherlands and Belgium. You buy a ford sierra, equip it with English steering and leave the 2 front seats in place. So its like the stack racing, but with only one car. 2: Driewieler racing. Also on dirt tracks in the Netherlands and Belgium. You cut a fwd car in half, apply a rollcage, attach a 3rd wheel at that rollcage and go racing. Its great fun and the instability of the car makes it quite difficult as well
Our high school metal and auto shop would build a bus every year along with other surrounding schools from the area and race them at Cedar Lake WI at the end of the school year kinda kicking off summer break. They were what everybody really looked forward to.
