25:00 - 25:25 That's Don Roman Santos Building built in 1894. It would have been a cultural heritage bec. of its architecture evidently seen in its neoclassical style. It formerly housed a private bank. Sadly, we are now seeing it fade away into disrepair, nobody seems to care.

Wow! You are very brave. Even local you tubers (or most Filipino) will not stroll there since it's considered "not safe" neighborhood. You're lucky that your camera is still with you :D Seriously, Quiapo and nearby areas does require caution. It can be a challenging area for visitors due to safety concerns. - but that's why I love your vlogs! :)

damn it's too hot these days.dany you should try to visit during December to February as it was a cooler months in the Philippines.you can enjoy up North like in Baguio,(Kaparkan Falls)Abra and Sagada.Try visit Batanes too.

A bit hard to answer that question of yours. Yes, there are various ethnic groups here in the Philippines and some of them look really distinct like for examples the Aetas of Zambales or the Igorots and Ifugaos of the Cordillera region. However, the ones you were referring to seems to be just your common Tagalog people (some perhaps are from the Visayan and Mindanao region also) but with less or no Spanish or any foreign blood. Plus it's also the lifestyle. A harder life, esp. for those who have to work outdoors all the time, will tend to roughen you up physically. Additionally, the "old rich" here are mostly the ones who are descended from the Mestizos (Filipinos with Spanish and/or some Chinese blood) while the pure native Filipinos during Spanish times, who were termed "Indios" (a derogatory term), were sadly treated as inferior and not given the same opportunities by the Spanish government. Though even the mestizos were also treated as inferior, but more so the Indios.

Sapin-sapin is a layered glutinous rice and coconut dessert in Philippine cuisine. It is made from rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, water, flavoring and coloring. It is usually sprinkled with latik or toasted desiccated coconut flakes. The dessert is recognizable for its layers, each colored separately

Dany, you are absolutely right about some groups of Filipinos who look quite different from others. I noticed it also when I was there. I went to Pampanga and it was like I was in a different country. They were mostly light skinned and very good looking and most of them dressed well. Not sure why they were fair skinned, don’t they get the same sun??? Maybe they are from a different tribe. I wish somebody here can explain to me about the beautiful people of Pampanga🤔

Great video, amazing people. Not sure I'd have street food or meat, it just doesn't make sense to me in heat of 30-40c. Hot food going cold starts rapid bacteria growth just after few hours of cooking if left on the counter, let alone at that heat and all day outside. I can see why many get sick travelling SEA eating market food, at very least have to see them cook it.
