What we do on a regular basis, good or bad, is essentially who we are & who we become as a person. Every single day we brush our teeth (& if some of you, for whatever reason do not, please prioritize this immediately, if you haven't already, there's no better time to start than now) we routinely execute familiar steps - habitual behaviour, that we've been taught by our parents. The stronger a habit the less likely it is for you to break it. So, if you brush your teeth first thing in the morning daily, it's fairly easy to continue doing so. That's why we don't have to think about it, it just comes natural to us.
But the same applies with bad habits & fact is that we're kinda lazy & seek conformity, which when we lack self-discipline makes us develop harmful addictions real fast & easy. It's important to know that you can change. Anybody telling you otherwise is a full blown idiot. It's true & the reason it angers me is, because so many people who want to change let themselves be fooled by others who've tried & failed. Now they tell others they can't do it... & lacking confidence lots of people just take it at face value. I won't let those kind of people, with their loser mentality, get in the way of me pursuing my mission, of which a big part is the 8th Habit (Finding your own voice & inspiring others to find theirs).
The 7 habits presented within this book aren't simply a successful entrepreneur's way of handling things. Any human being who wants to be their best self & improve absolutely should adopt
    1. Being goal-oriented & reliable,
    2. Planning all the way to the end,
    3. Prioritizing well,
    4. Sharing success,
    5. Sympathizing & keeping an open-mindedness,
    6. Collaborating, instead of competing
& 7. Focusing on consistent growth
The way you do anything is the way you do everything. Let's get serious. ;)

I can attest that win/win deals are best for long term success regardless what it is. Doing it zero sum only works in the short term and people will hold it against you if you exploit them like that constantly.

    Hello everyone,
quick thought salad on *habits* - what we do on a regular basis, good or bad, is essentially who we are & who we become as a person.
It's important to know that you *can* change.
*The way you do anything is the way you do everything.*
Please consider the presented ideas & have a beautiful day.
    - Nenad (illacertus)
PS: Yes, I did say successful people instead of effective. The combination of reading it years ago & working your ass off to make the most out of your 2 weeks vacation will do that to you & of course I totally did it on purpose (see Law 46). ;)

illacertus I have problems communicating with others of my age and i dont know why. I feel its because of their idea of pleasure is different from mine(id rather enjoy an intense workout or a challenging project than partying).
But i still feel communicating and making friends is a useful trait. A help from ur side through a video or comment would be appreciated.

You should get yourself a pop stopper for your microphone. They're cheap on amazon. Also, I like how you've been finding common themes through out the books you've reviewed.

    • @Illacertus
      @Illacertus  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

+Sammiches I've got one ordered. I believe the higher the level of clarity with which you see things the easier it is to simplify it by connecting the dots. If I'm unable to explain it to a 12 year old, I don't understand it well enough. I choose the books based on my bigger picture, but it's when I'm done that I can tell people to take a good look at it & see what I mean (if that makes sense).

I am a long term investor and believe that greed is the cause of worries in buying stocks ie to maximize your return which one can never since market price of stock which is like buying any commodity cannot be predicted except based on past record you can make a projection but what will happen you do'nt know.I think one should have a bench mark of return to fight the inflation plus at least the net return from Fd etc.My bench mark is 20% in a year time and then take a call to sell apart or whole based on information of the company plans whether expanding or selling asset to reduce debt . When you buy a stock you become a business partner till you sell off. When you have your business you put your hard earned and get return if you make a profit over a period. The video has given the basic and educative.Large cap small cap etc are based on capitalistion based on market value.Oil chemical companies metals etc are the need and without that your pharmaceutical paint etc cannot survive.Service industries are essential but these are also dependent on basic manufacturing industries.
Every investor should see this video and ponder over it. No one can guarantee the return since factors global internal and policies of GOVT and Companies etc influence.ROE and ROI bothh are important for decision to buy a stock. However profit be booked based on your benchmark and understanding of the company

I believe in 8th grade where we had to read this book called 7 habits of highly effective teens, there was a part where it said look for the best possible solution as advice, wow I never would have guessed, and then there was a point it said you should do your homework, wow i didn't know that, but I read the book in bits only a few parts did I actually read, because again class, so maybe it's good? I don't know, maybe it was the class?
