Sufferers of this profound disease have been just barely squeaking by for much too long. So glad to finally have a film pop the bubble society has been living in regarding this topic for years.

But people must understand that there are many different types of balloon foot which cannot be over looked; including heliumiosis which is when the balloon feet make you hover an inch or so off the ground so you can never fully gain traction on surface often causing a person to glide uncontrollably. #findacure

I was saying that in jest, relax. I don't have an accent when I speak English but I have a huge accent in Spanish. Accents are normal. That's why I said Seth's French was also "the cutest thing I ever heard."

Just because you don't agree with one of their decisions doesn't mean you'll hate all of them. Oscar winning movies are usually artistic and have superior film making behind them but that isn't a guarantee you'll enjoy the story.
King's Speech isn't bad and I only watched it because of Colin Firth. But anyway a lot of the Oscar movies are really great. I've watched Arrival and Hacksaw Ridge and I'm going to watch Silence next.

I think there's a good chance Moonlight will win, which I think it deserves (although I wish Elle was nominated). Only other nominated film I've seen was Arrival, and maybe it was because I knew the script beforehand, but I thought that was pretty cheesy. I wanted to like it but meh. Not sure how some of these films get nominated.

Seth's accent is what I expect from Anglos and most Americans, but I was actually impressed by Amber's accent. Although props for actually speaking the French at all

His family dies but the movie doesn't really take time to show that relationship to his family beyond one scene.
It's very boring and there's no character arcs for almost the whole cast
the movie meant to show, what his past was, and why he doesn't love his life. that's it. the movie was mainly about the depressing but humorous relation between the uncle and nephew, and why he doesn't wanna be his guardian even though he loved him. if you watch movies like brooklyn or room, they are also the same.

Oh La La Land is definitely pandering, but it's not the kind of Oscar bait that the video makes fun of - aka dramas with lots of tragedy and tearjerker moments in a quite straightforward story, with good performances but nothing special on the technical side (notice how this kind of movie almost never get nominated for cinematography, editing or any other technical categories). Manchester fits that description quite well in my opinion.
