      Impressive content, this video.
      Questions for you, please:
      1) How did you come by renting the villa? Looks quite posh, actually.
      2) Fridge in it is quite small. How do you cope with having a fridge the size of a microwave? Looks like it would not even fit a 6-pack of beer. And, we all know how essential BEER (lager preferably) is, don't we? 😉
      3) How was the Wi-Fi, over there on average? What VPN did you use? I'd be leery of using open-ended Wi-Fi anywhere foreign, but, I'd love to know how you both managed.

I think most of my time will be spent in ubud near the city center cuz I dont drive so I cant rent a scooter as of yet, but how much appx do you think it would be for me to hire a driver for two weeks for waterfall tours monkey forest ziplining shopping etc? Im not sure how much I trust gojek or grab yet as Im going by myself so I think a driver might be safer and hopefully I can walk to other places of interest due to my location. This is not a criticism. I’ve ran costings for Bali numerous times over the last 2-3yrs and your $50 per day equates to $18000 per year. Why is it that my yearly figure has never exceeded (and I’m being exceedingly kind here) $6000? Admittedly, I’ve never tried to live there but I am retiring to Bali in 3 years.

    What about visa costs? You didn't factor this in.. and airfares in and out for your visa runs.

      Hi Richard, we are currently on a B211a business visa, we don't actually do visa runs but it does cost around 3,500,000 IDR up front

      This accent it the result of over 7 years living in Australia being told on the daily it’s “Ta-mah-to” not “To-may-to” or it’s “Mel-bin” not “MELBORN”
      After awhile you forget what is right and also that it doesn’t actually matter at the end of the day 🤣

    Started to watch your video as I'm genuially interested in the cost of living in Bali for an Australian but instead of doing that as you started out to do, you changed the curruncey to US dollars! So i stopped watching. You lost me and my partner straight away. You've just come from Australia and Australians make up the bulk of tourists that visit Bali. We are NOT interested in what things cost with a comparison to the USA. That's just one more step you need to take to figure it out in your head. Maybe you need to do a seperate one for Aussies.

    • @LloydandMandy
      @LloydandMandy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could just ask nicely for us to put the Australian conversion on the screen in addition to USD.

    Since I've been in Bali, 90% of my Tik Tok/Instagram views have been Indonesian, but my content is exclusively French-speaking. I was advised to take a VPN (ghostvpn at 2 euros per month) and to put my Swiss sim card when I post but that did not solve the problem on Tik Tok. Anyone got a solution? Thank you very much 💚💚
