Bali is one of the most incredible places I've ever traveled to and is the epicenter for expats and digital nomads. From It’s beautiful rice fields and waterfalls to it’s delicious food and amazing weather. This island is an absolute paradise all at a very affordable cost. After spending multiple months here throughout the past couple years I wanted to show you guys what a a typical day looks like and show you just how far your money can go. This is what $20 a day can get you in Bali.

I've spent 5 month in Bali over two trips and am planning my third trip for 2021. I'll be going with a drone next time. My spots to check out:
Ubud, the padang warung next door to Clear cafe (walk out of Clear cafe and turn left, walk 5 meters) absolutely delicious local, Balinese food.
Warung Barokha Surabaya Pak Kumis. Google Maps will take you to this place. Try the grilled chicken. It is unreal.
Ubud, Daily Baguette. French style coffee shop on the main high street in Ubud a tiny walk from the Palace. I highly recommend the flat white and the lemon meringue.
Cafe Vespa, Penestanan, Ubud. Lovely, hipster place and a wide variety of comfort foods.
Need a place to stay? The Satya Villa in Penestanan, Ubud. Tell Mrs Wayan Sam from London sent you. Her villa is SPECTACULAR. Check it out on booking.com it's placed perfectly. Close enough to Ubud center but far enough so you dont hear any of it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Sekumpul Waterfall 10/10
Aling Aling Waterfall 10/10
Both of these are up north and recommended that you either go on a long ass day trip in a cab or stay somewhere overnight.
UNESCO Rice fields. Everyone goes to the overly commercialised rice Terrace in Ubud. Trust me, it is nothing compared to the UNESCO site. Hire an E-Bike and do a tour here...
Beji Guwang Hidden Canyon. Epic walk through the rocks/water through this place. Close to Ubud and doable in a couple of hours.
Watch a football game at Bali United in Ubud. Really cheap entry if you want to sit with the locals. Buy you ticket before hand to save hassle on the day.
Urban Jungle Cafe (not far from Clear Cafe) vegan tattoos and nice smoothies/juices (I didn't try any food but it all looks tasty). Tell Abe Sam from London sent you).
The island of Nusa Penida.
You must visit here.
Everyone hoes to the T-Rex spot (Kelingkling) popularised on IG (which I do love) but my number one spot on this Island is Diamond Beach. Simply breathtaking.
The usual other spots by IG/YT tell you about are good too.
Try food at Penida Colada. Lovely spot, a bit pricey but extremely hipstery and can get very busy in the evenings.
Stay at: Bintang Bungalows. Good, cheap and local to Crystal Beach for those evenings u de the stars.

Brett, love your videos ! I just wondered what part of Bali you were in? I went last year in April for about 6 days. Changgu, Seimyak, and Ubud is where I went. I am looking forward on going back because I know there are so many more towns to explore. I also enjoy seeing your friendships with Gabe and Chris. That was nice that Gabe had a recommendation and then you showed him the sushi spot. That was nice! Glad he liked it!

Dude! That is so weird! Varuna was one of my fave spots in all of Canggu and one of the best deals! Lived there for 2 months in Sept 2017 and stayed at Andy Guest House (beautiful and clean with amazing bathrooms) for $13/night. Great vid. Other fave eating spots: Shady Shack, Luigi's Hot Pizza, Betelnut, Machinery Cafe and prob my top fave: Crate Cafe.

@@johnabernethy9071 hello. Not at the moment though due to this Pandemic. Many have left the Island. And now is totally quite.
Well to me it is a good place to live, everything is cheap here we have beautiful beaches and there are still some areas that still untouched by humans.
We have so many stray dogs here that we have been taking care of. But of course, it is all depends how you look at it. I think to live here - it wll be much good if you have something to do here, either you have school to attend to or work or your own business.
If you think you can live far from the city life and can handle the island environment or you can down grade your life from what you are having rght now- maybe you'd like it. People here especially the locals are very laid back, very on into their culture and traditions. You sill see many puras around( the places for them to pray ) and you will see a lot of Hindu' s ceremonials.
So again.. it's all depends how you see it . Tbh, there are many foreigners too that have gotten into depression, into crimes etc.
My suggestion, come here when things get better (covid19). Our borders are not open yet for international. And come when you know what you are going to do here. Finish your school first there take higher educations. And get some valueable work experience. Then you can come and live here .
You can't just come and work here with out any legal work. 😊

lol we remember going there. we paid for a villa that was $24 a day and it was twice the size. its so cheap there and the best spot for vacation on a budget
