*HOW TO PLAY REAPER NOW:* Step 1: pick Reaper Step 2: walk at winston Step 3: hold left click Step 4: watch him melt Step 5: Wraith back demanding healing Step 6: notice the that the Winston is actually a Roadhog main on the other team and he has switched to hog angrily. Step 7: remember how in previous seasons you, a reaper main, tried to counter hog and then got one shotted repeatedly over and over even without hook. Step 8: Overextend to spawn kill the Roadhog Step 9: T bag him because of all the bull shit he put you through. "Yeah! ChodHog! You stupid, overpowered, flanker , a piece of pig shi-" *ahem* Sorry about that. Step 10: Walk back calming down, realizing you have to play with the team. Step 11: hear the Roadhog respawn. Step 12: *More Pre Nerf Hog PTSD* Step 13: Repeat Steps 8-12 Step 14: Profit
Im a reaper main and in my opinion one of the best ways to play reaper is flank around into brawl reaper taking most of the attention from their team allowing your team to reek havoc, also on top of that if your not able to flank you have the ability to destroy tank and his ult allows him to destroy the team when they're grouped up
One thing I have been having great success at when playing flanking and encountering an enemy McCree is to actually use wraith form to bait out their flash bang. You know it is going to be coming almost immediately, so jump in their face and then hit wraith form. Then mop them up. Has been working really well so far in the low-Masters range.
How to Reaper 101: 1: Buy shrug/cackle emote 2: Laugh at Winstons/Orisas/Roadhogs trying to kill you 3: Kill them. 4: Emote 5: Go heal yourself 6: Repeat If they have a Tracer or Genji: 1: Wait for Recall/Deflect to be on cooldown 2: Laugh at their attempts to kill you while you angrily shot them to death 3: If you kill a Tracer, teabag her dead corpse, spray, emote and toy around with it, but make sure to show the Tracer the worthless piece of shit/tryhard she is. If you kill Genji, pay respects to your honorabru ribaru. 4: Go heal 5: Repeat
Yeah, I felt for months before the Roadhog nerf that Reaper had no chance against him, and Reaper's meant to be an anti-tank offensive character. Reaper got indirectly buffed whenever Roadhog got nerfed into Oblivion. So yeah, the good thing is that Reaper is now buffed and he's able to actually do his job. Bad thing is people are expecting him every match now.
Reaper was always a Hog killer as long as you don't approach him from the side the hook comes out of. Shit, attacking anyone from the front as Reaper is an idiotic strat.
Season 4: pick Mercy or I throw Season 5: nerf Mercy please, thnx dad Jeff and Lets make Reaper the new meta Season 6: Reaper is too strong Lets nerf him
If people say to nerf Reaper, then they don't know how to play McCree, or Soldier, a good hitscan player can out range a Reaper at any time, a good McCree could also flash bang that Death blossom
Here's the deal with buffs. I play Reaper. He's always been good. All they changed was his soul globes. Now everyone actually tries him again and realizes he's good, and thinks it's due to the buff. He's always been good.
The only thing I found wrong with this is his teleport can very much be used in escapes! It takes about 1-1.5 seconds to channel the tele and get where you are going, so when flanking, you can get a pick, do some damage, shadowform away around a corner when they notice you into a tele. You can not always do this, as faster champs will catch you. But I have made many, many clutch escapes with it. ^-^
Casbad IV the problem is that you generally use wraith form to keep a fight going so wraithforming away then teleporting won't happen bcz you just wraith form them continue
Reaper was the first character to "click" with me on Overwatch. His kit and his purpose just made all of the sense to me. I'm so stoked he's gotten even better since then.
Get Schwifty Holding down A is super easy on Horizon, however it's also a high-risk point. You basically just have to play ON the point to defend it, guarding the sides and the back. A good Hanzo/Widow can keep people from coming up the main corridor straight up the middle, meaning you can predict people are going to push the sides instead. The only big problem is an ultimate combo from like, Zarya and Dva/Reaper/Pharah is going to clear that point out pretty quick, so that's the hardest part of holding A. If you can communicate well and listen for the enemy Ult audio cues, you can avoid dying and keep your team alive to hold the point.
As a Reaper the health pack anchoring mention was what I was hoping for, in some ways this goes for some other characters such as tracer but for Reaper it's particularly important to maintain his game flow.
S1: Meh Reaper's pretty ok S2: REAPER IS A GOD! LET IT RIP!!!!!!!! S3: Reaper is absolute garbage why would you ever play him? S4: Meh Reaper's pretty ok S5: REAPER IS A GOD!!@!!@!@!@!!!!!!@!!@!

Anyone who says Roadhog is the worst I have to assume is one of those flanking solo roadhogs with horrible positioning. Roadhog does have trouble with the dive comp since it makes the teams less organized and makes hooking people out of position significantly less valuable. But anytime I play Roadhog in a comp game that isn't against a coordinated dive comp, I carry. He is so much better in the mid fight and I still one shot hook people even when I don't right click them first, which I typically do. I believe kids flank with roadhog because its easier to hook someone who isn't looking but roadhog was stupid broken, now hes in a good place since not any old pleb can pick him up and get instakill value without being good at all.
Thanks for the great video! I'm a reaper main and i'm surprised that they would buff him this much. He was good before, but no one really knew how to use him, so no one played him. Hopefully this will bring Reaper back.
Totally agree with this vid. I play Reaper a lot now and with teams focusing a lot on flanker duals right now, I usually go on tank and healer hunting duty. By focusing down any tank in the game you can usually kill them and wraith form away before dying even when taking incoming fire. If they have a Winston I just hang back near my vulnerable squishies and counter attack. It's taught me the value of positioning too, never go out into the open unless its behind the enemy team and instead control all those little rooms and tight chokes, pop out to shoot anyone coming close and only come out to confirm kills or in big team fights. Death Blossom is valid to use against enemy healers, especially good for dealing with tricksie Mercies who dash a lot, as its range usually catches her in mid air if she is at ground level and trying to dash away. It's often good if your healers are exposed, as they often are in dive comp, to be their bodyguards, Ana and Reaper work very well together especially. Personally I find Reaper much more viable now and he is great fun to play now he doesn't die so easily. Also I think he's become more powerful due to other shifts in the game like Roadhogs hook, which isn't much of a Reaper threat any more. Finally I would like to see videos specialising on using Ultimates effectively for each hero, an in depth look with examples of when to use them, common tips for using them well and decision-making about when its ok to just use them too deal with one or two enemies. Keep up the good work!
Although I play on Xbox, I am the reaper main of your dreams. 70 eliminations is my best game. In the right hands, reaper is so nasty. Love the channel by the way. Keep up the good work!!
Thing I like about Reaper is that he's great to bust out on Quickplay even without a team that communicates which is something I prefer to do over playing comp (mainly because I dont have enough friends to play with to make a decent team, and playing pub games just isn't worth the six year olds screaming at you for not being their pocket Mercy while they Genji all around the map). Even in other guides on this channel which all seem to be geared to competitive play and some playstyles can't be achieved without a good team to communicate with, but hell even in this guide it's one of those that's geared to just be able to deal with on your own. I've been playing Reaper exactly how this guide says without realizing that I was lol.
One thing I found with reaper's teleport is that it helps you cross areas when you would otherwise be in line of sight. I was playing as reaper on lighthouse when the other team tried a push from the side closest to the cliff. I was standing on the point and had my ult so I teleported from behind cover to the left of their team so I could drop down and ult for a triple kill
I actually do a lot of this already and I have a lot of fun playing as Reaper, and it feels amazing how much I can decimate when a good team backs me too. Too bad I keep getting disorganized teams and having to go tank or healer because no one else wants to...
No one focus's reaper I swearr. He flanks behind and I hold my entire matrix on him for 4 seconds yelling "REAPER REAPER GET REAPER" AND NO ONE TURNS AROUND MY MATRIX RUNS OUT AND THEY ALL DIE
I'll say it's not a shorter reload for Reaper to melee, but more of animation cancelling so you could start shooting once the melee is done, it's more that it feels shorter when it comes to dealing damage because well... melee does damage (obviously)
Btw the melee reload animation skip is actually real however you can only do it after her throws out his guns but it still skips the animation where he pulls them out essentially halving the animation
That shadow step icon just sits there for way more than half of the game. Niche ability on reaper i guess while everyone else is busy using everything.
Here are some extre tips: - Reaper has the fastest reload in game. If you press R and immediatelly press the melee button as soon as the guns leave your hand you will have 2 new guns ready in less than a second. - Whenever a Reinhardt has his shield up or a D.Va uses her defence matrix when you get in their face use the first tip I said to quickly deal 30 damage from the melee attack and also have all of your bullets back for when they decide to lower their defences again. - Do not use your Shadow Step only to flank but also to just get to higher ground and jump back down again. This will confuse the enemy who will think that you have gone behind them when you actually are right above them. - When you are in the heat of battle be constantly firing your shotguns. DO NOT stop shooting and always prioritize the enemy tanks first since this is the only way you can actually heal yourself so the team's support heroes can focus on the other squishies of your team who can not sustain themselves.
Some good points in this one. The problem that I constantly see in 2750~ range is people picking reaper when there's an enemy Pharah and refusing to switch off if there's no other hitscan. So we just get rained on by rockets. The problem is people think Reaper is the solution to everything nowadays :(
there are many times where you take the whole opposing team on with the help of either a teammate healing or a health pack. That tells me that Reaper's new passive ability is WAY overpowered. If you can 1v6 with only the help of the health pack then thats too much. But reaper + sombra is gonna be a SUPER good combo for the time being
I'm a different type of reaper , the one I like to call bezerker basically I just go into a 1v1 , 1v2, 1v3 and sometimes a 1v4 (and maybe one or two teammates to help) with overconfidence because I was used to him before the buff(s) and now he's so much better. But I am still cautious about when the enemies are alive or if I'm gonna die in a bad situation . If you are this type of reaper, here's some advice : try to use shadow step to get away from a sticky situation ; but not when you are on low hp , if you're not too confident with that ; try staying close enough to the enemy to deal damage - but not too close because if you're in a bad situation there , it's much easier to wraith form behind a rienhardt shield or to cover .
I play high plat on PC, and I almost never see enemy reapers even when we have a winston and other tank on our team. He's insanely powerful, and a good mercy or ana can make him even more insane. Ana's health booster doubles his lifesteal, so keep that in mind as a handy trick. Also, sombra combined with reaper is a great way to eat entire teams. A hack makes any target an easy target. Or an EMP opens up the entire team.
As a reaper main this brings tears to my eyes reaper finally meta and people are finally noticing it's great I see them every game now -sniffs- finally jeff
I know this channel is focused on pc but for my fellow ps4 players reaper is even more ridiculous because he's so much easier to connect with then other heros, making him more viable then you might think in some instances with ranged heros on the enemy team
it was not entirely his change, but also because his biggest competition was nerfed so hard he became a more notorious troll pick than torbjörn (who has never been taken seriously in competitive play)
You know what's a good deception static with reaper???? Use his wraith mode to make pushes on choke points, he draws all attention when you fakr out the front line for a real push with Lucio or dva.
8:04 Yeah, that's legit. Melee once the guns leave your hands and you good to go. Dunno how much faster it is, but it seems quicker Other than that, thanks for this guide, been wanting to find a on-meta DPS I can go for if someone can heal if i'm not doing too good (I'm a half decent zen main).
Only issue i have with Reaper is fighting Tracer. I play on console if that makes a difference, i only mention it bc everyone on console seems to have an issue with aiming. Anyone have any advice on Tracer vs. Reaper???
Deadly Dex deal as most damage as you can , wait for her recall and when she recalls predict where she will be and deal burst dmg at her head if u do it right it's a one shot also try to fight with cover if you don't have cover , you're pretty much screwed
As a Tracer main, never use this against me, but try to always live a bit in the past so you can instantly shoot where she recalls, if in a small space or room, it is terrifying fighting a Reaper, just watch your back as on console, almost everyone has their sensitivity low so she can deal a lot of damage from behind.
I'm not a console player but I've had people comment that my tracking skill is really good. With Tracer or Genji, tracking their movement and predicting where they are going to be is essential. Also, you need to keep an eye out for when the recall is used and where she will end up, because that's your queue to kill her. With Genji, eat him for lunch the minute his deflect ends (or sneak up behind him when he's busy deflecting someone else and shoot him in the back of the head haha). Tracking is essential with killing Tracer, regardless of what character you're on.
I'm a GM Reaper Main on Xbox One (xColed, alt xWarem) - Basically you need cover to survive a 1 on 1, and for goodness sake don't try to fight her in any sort of ranged situation. If you're caught in the open you're donezo, so you'll either need to face her in a tight corridor or around your teammates. If you get caught, ghost toward your team and try to be unpredictable in your ghost movement (i.e. fake right then go left, or use it to find cover/healthpacks). Ultimately you're going to have to play around healthpacks and anticipate tracers blinks to win, and the tighter the environment around you, the better chance you'll have.
I've kinda learned that if I get a hog on my team I'll stick by him in team fights cause as soon as he hooks someone and he shoots them it's really easy to finish them off
lol best way to run reaper rn is to just pocket one with a D.va and let him play overagressive saving your whole defense matrix for him and by the time it's over you've gotten like 3 kills and won the team fight. Have not lost any any D.va reaper games this season
Winston is my most played character this season, whenever I play against a Reaper I'm usually completely shut down because they stay close to their divable supports and squishies. I think Reaper is super good in this meta because he's very anti meta since initiators like Winston and D.va have to come to him thus killing the dive
I usually don't use reaper but i picked him up to try to counter a winston dive and he was shredding people. I have very few hours on him and I was doing quite well. It was 50/50 versus soldier, but I think that was because of my lack of skill and not how well he actually does overall.
When I play comp, I play lots of Winston and D.va. I'm in the middle of platinum (around 2700 SR) and I'm rising up pretty quickly. Just a week or so ago, I was still in gold. I am really noticing that Reaper is used way more up here, because he is in fact really strong. I get rekt by him all the time, but I'm still happy he's shifting back into the meta.
Players may have feared picking Reaper. Now players fear a good Reaper after the buffs. With the voice volume reduction on his shadow step he will be even more fun to play. I am exited 😜
Reaper is best for stopping Reinhardt and Winston pushes. He's also good for Squishies but I especially like to get right in the middle of a team right and remove enemy tanks from the equation
Suggestion/Question; why not go into the basic information as well for the characters? Numbers, like how much a full reaper headshot does, would be super helpful and in depth!
I was also a good Reaper player before the buffs. Always loved the sexy little edgelord. I could reap some serious face pre-buff, and now I'm just a monster.
*HOW TO PLAY REAPER NOW:*
Step 1: pick Reaper
Step 2: walk at winston
Step 3: hold left click
Step 4: watch him melt
Step 5: Wraith back demanding healing
Step 6: notice the that the Winston is actually a Roadhog main on the other team and he has switched to hog angrily.
Step 7: remember how in previous seasons you, a reaper main, tried to counter hog and then got one shotted repeatedly over and over even without hook.
Step 8: Overextend to spawn kill the Roadhog
Step 9: T bag him because of all the bull shit he put you through. "Yeah! ChodHog! You stupid, overpowered, flanker , a piece of pig shi-" *ahem* Sorry about that.
Step 10: Walk back calming down, realizing you have to play with the team.
Step 11: hear the Roadhog respawn.
Step 12: *More Pre Nerf Hog PTSD*
Step 13: Repeat Steps 8-12
Step 14: Profit
lmao
Vladhimir Theophile too true.
Instructions not clear: insta-locked Symmetra on Ilios.
Vladhimir Theophile but roadhog can't one shot anymore
Qeycon are you bronze??
I don't even play overwatch but these commentarys are so well made and interesting I watch them anyway.
It is nearly impossible for a reaper to lose a 1v1 fight with a tank.
Challenge Accepted
reaper is in every game now at least on console
Yeah..he is
Whorilia Aquapuss i play him alot in diamond
Whorilia Aquapuss U crazy im diamond and he is in 70% of games
In high diamond and masters he is everywhere at least in my,games
jeez so many diamond console players here. unite fellow diamonds
reaper mains where you at
Farhang Dilshang right here fam
Farhang Dilshang right here
Right here
Here
Farhang Dilshang I have almost 50 hours on reaper lol I've loved him since the beta days
Im a reaper main and in my opinion one of the best ways to play reaper is flank around into brawl reaper taking most of the attention from their team allowing your team to reek havoc, also on top of that if your not able to flank you have the ability to destroy tank and his ult allows him to destroy the team when they're grouped up
Mental Frog try silver - the moment you tickle a shield character they turn around to face you so your team destroys them
Last time I was this early I played reinhardt and Roadhog
Paul M Paul Mahon? Liverpool?
Paul M Paul Mahon? Liverpool?
Monte Osman what Liverpool
One thing I have been having great success at when playing flanking and encountering an enemy McCree is to actually use wraith form to bait out their flash bang. You know it is going to be coming almost immediately, so jump in their face and then hit wraith form. Then mop them up. Has been working really well so far in the low-Masters range.
How to Reaper 101:
1: Buy shrug/cackle emote
2: Laugh at Winstons/Orisas/Roadhogs trying to kill you
3: Kill them.
4: Emote
5: Go heal yourself
6: Repeat
If they have a Tracer or Genji:
1: Wait for Recall/Deflect to be on cooldown
2: Laugh at their attempts to kill you while you angrily shot them to death
3: If you kill a Tracer, teabag her dead corpse, spray, emote and toy around with it, but make sure to show the Tracer the worthless piece of shit/tryhard she is. If you kill Genji, pay respects to your honorabru ribaru.
4: Go heal
5: Repeat
First Flame profit
First Flame A tracer can two clip a Reaper from a relatively safe range if she's decent atleast
First Flame Orisa can kill Reaper though. Just manage your Halt and Fortify correctly, and Reaper will struggle against you.
Dada Dunlol Because Tracers are cowards.
Ace Yeah well, but it's very unlikely. I just ran at orisa and keep shooting her head and even fortify can't help her
Reaper Is BACK!
hell yeah man
I'm not sure if you did already, but what about doing a Lucio Guide? that'd be nice!
So reaper went from being the close range "duelist" option you picked if you were bad at playing tracer to a brawler?
:^p
Really loved that intro, reminded me of the old school call of duty youtube intro/montages.
Clifford your big red God reload animation cancel, it reloads like a millisecond quicker or something
Reaper counters Roadhog
*this is how it should have been*
Everyone counters roadhog now.
DeSean Celestine even lucio counter roadhog
Lucio counters everything.

Can't be a proper Your Overwatch guide without the "Advanced" in the title!
Can you do a guide on how to defend and attack on horizon
Get Schwifty yes plz
Get Schwifty no one knows a comp to defend Horizon. Even pros are having trouble. 2CP lul
Paul Richardson
I know for a fact that Mei is good for defending the second point , I dont know what to do with first point tho
Abdulaziz Al Saif Mei is good on any second point 2cp
Get Schwifty Holding down A is super easy on Horizon, however it's also a high-risk point. You basically just have to play ON the point to defend it, guarding the sides and the back. One more point about teleport, you can use it to move from cover to cover so you can infiltrate behind the enemy team.
I want all these PTR updates to go live!! I swear I've been spending more time on the PTR than the actual game.
S1: Meh Reaper's pretty ok
S2: REAPER IS A GOD! LET IT RIP!!!!!!!!
S3: Reaper is absolute garbage why would you ever play him?
S4: Meh Reaper's pretty ok
S5: REAPER IS A GOD!!@!!@!@!@!!!!!!@!!@!
and with all those different opinions, the only change he ever got (except patching glitches) was in S5
I've been a Reaper main since the Christmas update and it was good. This buff made it better. Now the shadow step buff is going to be great! I really love all of this stuff. I've been playing aggressive Reaper for months now and this is amazing
Thank you so much just went from me I main to a reaper main and I head a little bit of strat to playing reaper
Best overwatch channel hands down
roses are red, roadhog is now the worst, the time it took me to write this comment... I'm no longer first.
I'm proud!!!
Dilbo Dabbins lol
What? There still a Roadhog in a game?
Dilbo Dabbins that is art good job
Anyone who says Roadhog is the worst I have to assume is one of those flanking solo roadhogs with horrible positioning. But not 100% runs fuck that shit lmao abusing every shortcut we can find.
I've been maiming reaper since I first touched the game so this is just good for me
maiming or maining? just one typo and suddenly your entire comment changes meaning
Guarantee id spank you
As a Reaper main, I highly agree with this guide, and I always recommend to aim for the neck and never back up in a 1v1
Thanks for the great video! I'm a reaper main and i'm surprised that they would buff him this much. He was good before, but no one really knew how to use him, so no one played him. Hopefully this will bring Reaper back.

Thank you I'm new to the game and this helped me better understand how to play Reaper, which I want to be my main.
DavidGTv I know the same for Tracer and even when they try they can't aim for shit :(
Jay DeGeo From experience, if they focused Reaper, his ult couldn't save him
HAHA CAN'T DO IT FOR 4 SECONDS NO MORE
I'll say it's not a shorter reload for Reaper to melee, but more of animation cancelling so you could start shooting once the melee is done, it's more that it feels shorter when it comes to dealing damage because well... melee does damage (obviously)
Thx its a great help I'm just starting to main reaper and I'm loving it. thx for the tips!
Btw the melee reload animation skip is actually real however you can only do it after her throws out his guns but it still skips the animation where he pulls them out essentially halving the animation
i rly want to start play reaper more, thanks for the guide
That shadow step icon just sits there for way more than half of the game. Niche ability on reaper i guess while everyone else is busy using everything.
Yeah it does shorten reload if doing a melee. I tried this myself and it actually works. Small delay due to the melee cool down, but yea it works
Here are some extre tips:
- Reaper has the fastest reload in game.
3:37 SOMEONE SHOT INTO GENJUS DEFLECT TSK TSK TSK!
David lmao I saw that
I main reaper and I've been waiting for this video
As a Reaper main before the Buff, I can tell you it is a great time to be alive. :)
Been reaper main since the beginning! I always believed in his badassery
Some good points in this one. The problem that I constantly see in 2750~ range is people picking reaper when there's an enemy Pharah and refusing to switch off if there's no other hitscan. So we just get rained on by rockets. The problem is people think Reaper is the solution to everything nowadays :(
i was already mostly good at reaper but this helps me alot more thanks!oh yeah and i subscribed.
there are many times where you take the whole opposing team on with the help of either a teammate healing or a health pack. That tells me that Reaper's new passive ability is WAY overpowered. If you can 1v6 with only the help of the health pack then thats too much. But reaper + sombra is gonna be a SUPER good combo for the time being
I'm a different type of reaper , the one I like to call bezerker
basically I just go into a 1v1 , 1v2, 1v3 and sometimes a 1v4 (and maybe one or two teammates to help) with overconfidence because I was used to him before the buff(s) and now he's so much better.
I was kinda main support, just because we always need it. Now I play Reaper and I got from low Plat to Diamond.
Love him
I play high plat on PC, and I almost never see enemy reapers even when we have a winston and other tank on our team.
As a reaper main this brings tears to my eyes reaper finally meta and people are finally noticing it's great I see them every game now -sniffs- finally jeff
theres never been a better time to be a reaper main since you got the game
1:21 that play was crazy
Something I found out about Reaper was once he throws his shotguns, you can melee and speed up his reload.
Btw, Diva is now slightly harder to kill with Reaper, watch for the micro-missiles, they can do a lot of damage
I'm so happy Reaper is back in the meta. He looks so fun to play now :)
I was in a situation in quick play where the enemy team had 3 tanks, and once I switched to Reaper, we shredded the enemy.
I approve of that intro👍
same I loved it
I know this channel is focused on pc but for my fellow ps4 players reaper is even more ridiculous because he's so much easier to connect with then other heros, making him more viable then you might think in some instances with ranged heros on the enemy team
It's crazy how the smallest of changes can completely change a hero!
it was not entirely his change, but also because his biggest competition was nerfed so hard he became a more notorious troll pick than torbjörn (who has never been taken seriously in competitive play)
Always played reaper but this took it to another level
I have already been playing reaper this way, he's a great dive counter I keep telling people this but they're always skeptical.
Immediate reaction at 2:56 was "WAIT!FROST TRAP!"
You know what's a good deception static with reaper???? Use his wraith mode to make pushes on choke points, he draws all attention when you fakr out the front line for a real push with Lucio or dva.
I like being underrated. It helps me surprise my opponents when I decimate them.
8:04 Yeah, that's legit. Melee once the guns leave your hands and you good to go. Dunno how much faster it is, but it seems quicker
Other than that, thanks for this guide, been wanting to find a on-meta DPS I can go for if someone can heal if i'm not doing too good (I'm a half decent zen main).
Only issue i have with Reaper is fighting Tracer. I play on console if that makes a difference, i only mention it bc everyone on console seems to have an issue with aiming. Anyone have any advice on Tracer vs. Reaper???
Deadly Dex deal as most damage as you can , wait for her recall
and when she recalls
predict where she will be and deal burst dmg at her head
if u do it right it's a one shot
also try to fight with cover
if you don't have cover , you're pretty much screwed
As a Tracer main, never use this against me, but try to always live a bit in the past so you can instantly shoot where she recalls, if in a small space or room, it is terrifying fighting a Reaper, just watch your back as on console, almost everyone has their sensitivity low so she can deal a lot of damage from behind.
Deadly Dex land headshots every time
I'm not a console player but I've had people comment that my tracking skill is really good.
I've kinda learned that if I get a hog on my team I'll stick by him in team fights cause as soon as he hooks someone and he shoots them it's really easy to finish them off
That is exactly how I play reaper exactly how explained with the alternating reapers.
lol best way to run reaper rn is to just pocket one with a D.va and let him play overagressive saving your whole defense matrix for him and by the time it's over you've gotten like 3 kills and won the team fight. Have not lost any any D.va reaper games this season
This is literally always the way reaper has been played
I dont do comp but I've always liked Reaper. Think he's my 3rd most played behind Ana and Mercy respectively.
ty for helping me wth the reaper
Winston is my most played character this season, whenever I play against a Reaper I'm usually completely shut down because they stay close to their divable supports and squishies. I think Reaper is super good in this meta because he's very anti meta since initiators like Winston and D.va have to come to him thus killing the dive
I usually don't use reaper but i picked him up to try to counter a winston dive and he was shredding people. I have very few hours on him and I was doing quite well. It was 50/50 versus soldier, but I think that was because of my lack of skill and not how well he actually does overall.
thanks for the good tips
Was a junkrat main but after playing reaper for 10 min I was considering being a reaper main. With a bit more practice I might be
When I play comp, I play lots of Winston and D.va.
That beautiful alt in the middle of a Dva matrix is sure to make potg
I hope they dont nerf reaper, this is the reaper that every guard is scared of in the lore, him being this menacing earns him this spot
Why should I need a guide? I'm already naturally good at him
The faster reload with animation cancel has been proven time and time again. It has always been true; I've seen video proof and I do it myself.
When listening to deaht metal now gives you lifesteal
I was playing Reaper like this before the buffs... Is that bad? I still did well like that.
GothBoy6 No
It just means you're gold/silver
I was also a good Reaper player before the buffs. Always loved the sexy little edgelord. I could reap some serious face pre-buff, and now I'm just a monster.
I was Plat. And I got to Diamond this season.
GothBoy6 good for you
I am playing in gold and it was a very usefull guide, i will use these tips. :) Thank you.
