Highlights for me was the first light saber firing up by Vader, and him breaking necks in the town, showing why he should be feared. Also that storm trooper being cut in half was a surprise I did not see Disney doing.
If there’s one thing Disney has done well through their entire run it’s Darth Vader. From the Rogue One to the comics he manages to be menacing and just take up any scene he’s in.

I like that they added the fact that Obi-Wan had a brother into canon. In Legends, he gets memories from before he was taken in by the Jedi order from a force sensitive stone that Qui-Gon gave him. Also; I love that Obi-Wan finds out about Quinlan and other Jedi that have survived.
There is still concept art of Anakin going through the Jedi temple we haven’t seen. So I’d say the flashbacks are of that. I’m really hoping we see Quilan Vos show up in this or in Jedi Survivor.
They should have started the season with that. As soon as I saw the Jedi Temple I thought... Finally Disney Fucking gets Star Wars! and then... only random Jedi. Will see how it ends but honestly I'm just indifferent to whatever Disney does with Star Wars from this point. Aside from Mando everything else (live action) just feels lifeless and a bit boring.
I noticed Kenobi felt hesitant to use his lightsaber immediately meeting Vader. I think this adds to his PTSD. When I left the military I always had this strange feeling when in the presence of my guns and it took me a long while before I felt comfortable holding and using them again.
I've been absolutely captured by how Obi-Wan depicts PTSD in the context of being a former soldier who now has no real place in the galaxy. This observation gave me chills. Thank you for sharing.
@@Myfirespraygunship same. And sure lots had issues w the show, but i love how the eps are somewhat based off the main 1-6 eps of star wars. Which was pretty cool, and seeing obi wan deal with ptsd n all was great. And i liked the flashbacks. And i think most of all that Ewan and Hayden killed it!
Theory: Reva was on her way out of the Temple, when anakin skywalker killed al of her fellow younglings that were seen in the shot in the beginning of episode one. She was the only one that escaped, and planned her revenge on anakin through becoming an inquisitor, and eventually getting an opportunity to kill him, avenging her fallen brothers and sisters.
What would make more sense to me is her killing clones with rage and anger and then attacking Anakin and him sensing the dark side within her, and saying he will teach her.
Bro its 10 years into the empire. Not everyone knows what jedi looked like even in the clone wars and especially outside the core worlds. Ten years into the empire with jedi branded as traitors and the jedi being very taboo in society in general no one knows what a jedi looks like my friend. Also im willing to bet that there are billions of old hermits in the same robes as obi wan in the star wars universe.
@@mathijsrikken “Bro” stop projecting your poor memory onto the entire universe. For instance if a man was in prison for 10 years would he forget what a judge’s robe looks like? Would he have to be told “That’s a judge you 10 second Tom.” Judges don’t have super powers and laser swords ⚔️ but they have a distinct style… I think your logic is flawed and/or contrarian.
@@matthewdouglas1509 What do you mean? The empire wanted all memory of the jedi gone. So they tried to make sure of it. Also as I said prolly 99% of people in the galaxy and probably even more have never seen a jedi so how would they recognize one?
It's not a plothole that leia refers to obi wan as only a friend of her father, as when luke said he's here to rescue her with "ben kenobi" she instantly knows the name as it was the name he used when he saved her
true and the reason Ben was named after Obi wan was because he's a main reason Han and Leia met and he died saving them in a new hope Han even referred to obi wan as Ben's godfather
Also, she didn’t have much time when recording the message. She was probably also told to never mention her kidnapping and rescue. No one was supposed to know. Makes more sense too that Obi Wan decided to help her if he knew her as a child.
Nonsense. This series is making Episode IV Leia look like an idiot. She clearly knows that Obi-Wan and Ben Kenobi are the same person. When Luke rescues Leia while posing as a trooper, he says “I’m here with Ben Kenobi” and Leia says “Ben Kenobi?! Where is he?” With this much interaction with a Jedi named Ben who saved her life, a Jedi named Ben who she tried to save in turn, it’s just not believable that older Leia wouldn’t put it all together and then fail to mention any of it to Luke. They screwed this up royally and it’s a damn shame.
@@Andrew-eb8sw I just don’t get the unforced errors. Obi-Wan could’ve used another name, they could’ve told a story in which he saved Leia without her knowing who saved her, they could’ve told a story of Obi-Wan in isolation and introduced entirely new characters, they could’ve done ANYTHING other than undermine pre-existing cannon… but they did this instead.
Surely the “when I left you I was but the learner, but now I am the master” line means that Obi-Wan will defeat Vader later in the series. I reckon he meets with Qui-Gon, connects with the force more strongly, then in going to rescue Leia, meets Vader again and wins. Calling it now!
And then in ten years time they meet again Obi-Wan does a weird spin move he becomes a force ghost and then Vader pokes at his robes with his mechanical foot
That would be nice. Vader will never have the satisfaction of truly defeating obi wan. Even in the new hope, obi wan turned to a force ghost. Effectively quitting the game early lol.
I would go re-watch the "I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you!" scene. With the context of this show that original scene resonates differently now. Leia reacts not to Luke's rescue, not to the fact he is their with her R2 unit, but in fact her biggest reaction that spurs her to run into the hall is that Luke is there with Ben Kenobi. I know it wasn't always planned but it hits a different emotional beat now.
That is clearly a hallucination of Anakin that Obi-Wan saw. They had a sibling relationship. Obi-Wan called him his brother. He didn't attempt to drag him through the fire. He did drag them through the fire.
Makes my wondering, if Quinlan actually appears within the next episodes; but I'm glad, that James E. Jones returned one more time. Also that alien guy (Freck) was voiced by Zach Braff.
I think the real question for the episode is how Reva made it to the end of the tunnel BEFORE Leia did, as there was only one way through the tunnel. (The answer is PLOT).
@zen view not without leaving VERY subtle clues at to the correct direction to go. This only assuming you have the exit strategy planned with being compromised and potentially followed in mind. With a few traps along the way and def near the end for good measure.
Agreed. Also, the fact that she just happened to go into the place where Obi entered , like she had another hunch. Found the hidden door etc. lol. It is becoming a bit ridiculous how she finds out everything so the plot can move along. Even “Ben” could not run and escape, he had to stall everyone while he struggled with his issues. If they would have ran off they would have been on that trip out of there. Shrug….
With him mentioning his brother it may lead Leia to think that Ben Kenobi and Obi Wan kenobi are brothers, 2 different people. It would explain why she doesn't mention what is going on now in her R2D2 message to Obi Wan in a New Hope.
Just got done watching the episode and oh my gosh absolutely Epic. But I'm so angry at that woman for leaving Leia on her own, I know she wanted to help Obi-Wan but really.
Seeing Vader being put together was sick and seeing him and Obi fight again (especially how weak Ben is now) was epic, Obi's gonna have to really get back on form to face him again. I reckon Qui-Gonns gonna make an appearance at the right time. Best Star Wars show so far. Big ups Def.💯👊🏾
@@mark_nz problem is, how do you conclude a real fight? this series is very tied down with events that will follow.... so a big face off is going to struggle to be any real kind of pay off.... they will probably tease, but nothing major (I do suspect series 1 is probably a bit of fan service done in a way that the prequels and original trilogy can smoothly link up together), and if we get further series, Vader will probably pay little, if not no, essence to the series plot.
@@clark82 a real fight doesn't have to conclude with some one dying....and in interviews they (Hayden and Ewan) talk ALOT about all the training the did to get fit again to shoot the fight scene's (plural)....so yea, more to come I hope (unless that was advanced-shooting for another season!).
@@mark_nz true… the finale has to end in a way where Darth thinks Obi-Wan is dead and this does not spend the next 10 years looking for him (hence the “a feeling I have not felt in a long time” comment) but also I do think there will be a scene where Obi-Wan tried to reason with Darth (hence his “Obi-Way tried like you” comment to Luke)
Vader probably has something up his sleeve, and or he wanted Obi-Wan to get away because Obi-Wan is weak and out of practice... Vader wants a fight of equal strength and power. Not to mention that, the last time he let someone go, that was in the Rebels series. Vader let the Ghost Crew escape aboard a stolen shuttle, but that was because he had a tracker already planted on that shuttle, so that way they can lead him back to the Rebel fleet.
James Earl Jones sounded fantastic, whoever was in the suit (hopefully Hayden) was great, this episode was wonderful. All that skepticism for what? This show is doing it right!
I think this is right. He saw Kenobi was so weak and it would have been easy to Vader to kill him off. He wants him to suffer, mentally and physically until he gets his revenge.
You could see Vader staring at him, the big man already force blasted the fire away and could do it again easily but seeing how Obi needed a droid to help him probably satisfied him more than seeing him dead. Knowing that he has surpassed him, one of the most respected Jedi in his time and he can crush him with a thought. “Your suffering has only begun”
@@18pablo88 dawg, Vader spent a whole decade hunting that man down, a man he wants to inflict with as much pain and suffering as possible, you really think he was gonna kill him off the rip after all these years obsessively looking for him? Plus he let him go cause he knew that he already had his trail, he’s gonna find him again in the next 3 episodes
I really want to love this show - but, there have been some writing decisions which are making me struggle, the chase through the forest where Flea and his henchmen couldn't catch her - him digging in the desert, hearing a thud, then in the next scene the box is completely unearthed and visible. If he didn't use the force to find those sabres then how the hell did he know where they were? At this point is he cut off from the force or not? In this episode, the Storm Troopers say are looking for a Jedi - while sitting across from a guy dressed like a Jedi - like, is that the entirety of the search: "Are you a Jedi?" - "No!" "Okay on your way then!" Has Kenobi forgotten how to use the force? This is a bit inconsistent, he stopped Leia from falling and has tried twice to contact Qui Gon - but he has not once tried to mind trick the Storm Troopers. I felt for sue he was going to do that to the last one who had Leia. Then he shot the laser fence to disable it instead of just, walking around it....then when the next load of Troopers turn up he just gives up.....when he gets on the ground he still has the gun in his hand....pointing at the Troopers! The Lightsabre fight was...not great, but I get your point, I don't think Vader was even trying to win.....but do we really believe that after looking for Kenobi for 10 years he would just give up after being on the other side of some fire while a droid slowly walks away with him? Use the force to lift him and bring him back, or walk around the fire, or use the force to put out the fire the way you did like 30 seconds ago!!! I dunno - there are parts of this show I love - Ewan is amazing as Kenobi and little Leia is fantastic too but there are some choices the writers are making which are hard to ignore!!!
With the whole Vader fire scene; Vader could of just walked through the fire, seeing as he lives on a fire planet, and has become what he fears, cool image, plus maybe triggers Obi- Wan's ptsd again. Could of even turned into Anakin for a second or something, while in the flames. I thought the whole idea of him living on a fire planet, was that, he is within this prison of fire and stone. Why would he be afraid of a little fire? Would make way more sense for him to walk through it. Maybe let Obi wan go, because he is too weak. I don't know, not great writing in my opinion. So many things as a writer you could do in that scene. Seemed like a weak and strange writing decision. That choice was the main thing that took me out of the show. Not great. Ok show.
Agree! Bland music is my biggest criticism though. If the show had prequel level music, even prequel music itself at times perhaps remixed, I think it would be way better!
My favorite part was seeing Vader be fitted with the suit. Least favorite was when he just let the Droid carry Obi-Wan away. Pretty sure Darth Vader has mastered firebending and can just walk through it lol
Episode 3 is much better than the first and second. I'm not really disliking the earlier two episodes but it is pretty slow. The scene with Vader gives me edge of the seat feeling right away....no wonder Ewan said seeing vader on set is scary lol
The Vader duel was superb!! I loved the street scene too! It made Vader truly scary for the first time since I was a kid. Glad you enjoyed it Paul. Cheers Mate!!👍
Only thing I'd say here - it wasnt difficult to make out who the jedi was. It was definitely Anakin. But that's a minor thing :) Thought Young Leia was much better in this episode - which was a 7 or 8/10 episode in my eyes. I would've preferred a bit more dueling from Obi-Wan/Vader in their fight, but I honestly just feel like they're just "wetting out appetite" for a bigger fight to come (I hope). Obi-Wan struggling was really hard to see and I'd love to see a fight where they're more evenly matched, perhaps in the last episode. Here's hoping 🤩
That was the best part of the episode. We should have gotten some flash backs of them both. Or dream sequence where Kenobi talks to the Anakin he knew and has to let him go
"You know, maybe we should do something about the Marksmanship course at Stormtrooper training." - Darth Vader to the Emperor. They showed some of the villainous Vader when he went through that village. "I have altered the deal, pray I do not alter it any further." - dude in charge of Star Wars canon
You’re the best. First creator to release a breakdown in great detail. The episode literally released 3 hours ago and you’ve watched, edited, downloaded footage, record audio and then published. I can’t believe this app is free Keep it up
The light on in the dark metaphor, dunno why but it got me emotional. It was up there with visions 'love percevering' speech. Just subtle and real. This series has been a suprise.
I enjoyed this one! Loved seeing Vader in full evil mode and the lightsaber fight was spot on with ObiWan basically losing since he hasn't trained for 10 years. Glad to see a more "realistic" portrayal of a person being rusty after long periods of no training. So many shows make it out to be that just because a person used to be a martial artist or navy seal or whatever that they always have those same skills available even when they haven't trained for years.
I loved how they showed how out of touch Old Ben was, in the fight with Vader you can see Vader fighting one handed with ease, yet Old Ben is struggling to hold him back with both hands. Such a small yet massive detail that stood out for me
He also used zilch in fighting style. He's suppose to have mastered Soresu to a degree unprecedented...yet here he can barely even hold the saber steady.
Love how Vader started killing people, knowing that Obi wan would reveal himeself. I also love how vader let him get away. We all know that if Vader wanted he could've parted that fire and killed whoever got in his way.
The best part of this episode is when Obi-Wan says “what have you become?” And Vader replies “I am what you made me”. Obi-Wan was like a father to Anakin while growing up in the Jedi order and is also the reason that Vader is so scarred and in so much physical pain. It was chilling to hear Vader deliver the line.
Loved Vader in this episode. This was fantastic Star Wars. This is honestly the everything I wanted so far. I love sadistic Vader and can’t wait to see Obi’s comeback arc.😂😂😂
You talked about the line about "thats not how it works" but you didnt talk about the beautiful way obi wan explained the force. Or for him the light side of the force.
I'm hoping Vader let Obi-Wan live so he can get a more fair rematch between the two. I think he may want to fight his former master at his full strength. Not kill him in 30 seconds and be done with what he has been obsessed with for 10 years
Yeah that’s why he let him get away, he knows he’ll find him again very very soon, why would he just kill obi wan in less than a minute after spending a decade hunting him down, he wants to inflict as much pain and trauma as possible before putting him down
Vader just completely wrecking those people while walking towards Obi-Wan was probably my favorite part of the episode, that's the Fader I've always wanted to see on screen
@@matthewdouglas1509 it has the same meaning behind it? What exactly is deep about my comment? I deleted it, because this answer is better, but still, your point being?
The EPIC cheer from me when I found out that was James Earl Jones I got chills. I've been a Vader fan forever & God bless Mr. Jones for still being alive to do his voice. What an episode!
I think they might retcon Mapuzo to be the planet that anakin and obi wan were on during the deleted clone wars scene when they talk about Ahsoka. This would mean we will see a Flashback to this int he show
I personally always felt that when Yoda said “No there is another.” He was reminding Obiwan that they still have Leia instead of telling him so. Even without the prequels he clearly knew in the original as well because he tells Luke of Leia in Return of the Jedi when we never saw Yoda reveal that to him outright.
I think Reva saw Ani killing everyone so she blamed Obi-Wan for training him. Then she found out that Obi-Wan failed to kill Darth Vader so she blames Obi-Wan for all of her sufferings. The guy who picked up Leia and Obi-Wan is voiced by Seth Rogan.
How about the major plot hole at the end? Leia and Tala escape into a cave that seems to have one way out. Reva enters the cave following them, Tala turns back to save Ben but never runs into Reva in the tunnel? How did Reva make it past both of them and get onto the ship first? If there was a fast route in the tunnel why wouldn't Tala have taken that route in the first place. In all the shots of the tunnel there aren't any other passageways and if there is how is Leia not going to get lost without Tala.
Best episode yet! And I may even think this is the best Star Wars show that Disney+ has put out! I love how they are filling in between all the movies with the shows.
I agree on the theory that she’s trying to get to Vader and she’s seeking the title of Grand Inquisitor so she can try and hurt him, it would make sense because I don’t remember her from Rebels so maybe she gets that operation and is killed.. or she failed Vader “for the last time” 👌🏼
i think there may be another rematch between obi wan and vader. Rematch was very anti climatic and short. Lets hope we get to see more of their conflict later on!

I totally agree, I wasn't expecting such an early Vader confrontation, but I'm cool with it and loved that they leaned more towards the old school fighting than the high speed twirling style from their prime.
@@lindyswing4368 it doesn’t make any sense but what’s worse is it isn’t even explained or anything. We just have to assume she knew where the tunnel would exit or somehow got around Leia and the Officer (who then turned around and exited) without being seen or seeing them. The writing is just lazy. Why didn’t Vader just force blow out the fire? (That was ignited by an explosion of fuel that we previously saw get ignite and get spent)
Although in the comics Darth Vader did not learn about the inquisitors until he had constructed his lightsaber in “Darth Vader: The Dark Lord of the Sith Vol1” when The Emperor sent him to the Jedi temple to deal with the “intruder” that turned out to be the Grand Inquisitor so I don’t think he had recruited her after slaughtering all the younglings
I was expecting a duel between Obi-wan and Vader at the end of the series but since we got one in this episode im really excited and curious for how they are going to end the show.

@@123stinko Shes 10 years old man. I can trick a 10 year old without force powers lmao.. wouldn't even be hard to gaslight a 10 year old into thinking they imagined the entire journey. Memory is weird that way.
Leia knows him by Ben, and in the scene where the empire agent that helps them says its hard to imagine the great obi wan, leia has left the room and kenobi says this days is ben only and on the next scene the woman calls him ben, so Leia so far knows a Ben Kenobi not a Obi Wan
Anyone else think the Vader showing up and Obi-Wan slowly jogging away was kinda awkward? Like the way they filmed that was weird. And the second explosion just…ignites the fuel that we saw burn out? and that flame somehow creates an angle to where the stormtroopers say “we can’t get around!” even though Vader could force blown the fire out (just like he previously did) _I’m sorry but the writing is just…not smart and it’s immensely disappointing because I’m really, really trying to enjoy this._
You know what? I actually agree. Saw the episode this morning and had a slight tang of disappointment in their reunion. Not bad, just not quite what I thought I guess.
I’ma bit surprised that there are people wondering this. Vader could’ve easily just force choked Kenobi the moment he first saw (or when he was burning him), he said it himself he wants Obi-Wan to suffer. What better way to make him suffer than to torture him, and leave him alive knowing he’s hopelessly outmatched and will have to confront each other again. Not to mention, I feel like it’s already been established at this point that Vader’s a huge drama queen
The scene that bugged you reminded me of the GOT episode where Misande was executed. That scene where Daneres had one dragon left, sitting on the ground, in range of scorpions that never fired. Simultaneously the Dragon queen stands there like a statue before and during the execution reminding me of Obi allowing Vader to murder innocents. All set up by bad writers who degraded the male lead to prop up the antagonist. Not a good sign when one of the worst scenes of the worst episodes of the most disappointing TV shows in history resembles episode 3 of season 1.
I think the Reva has an ability to make force users not be able to predict the future and that is how she was able to catch the grand inquisitor off guard. It sounds like a super cool ability. 2nd thing Vader fights Obi-Wan with 1 hand showing how effortless it is for him to fight an aged Obi-Wan
I absolutely loved the fight scene between Obi and Vader. Its reminded me of Empire's red and blue duel between Vader and Luke. If people are mad that the fight scene wasn't "prequel like" I think they are missing the point. Obi hasn't fought in ten years and is obviously shocked at how Anakin has gone full "Darth". I thought the choreography hit an extremely satisfying sweet spot between the restraint of the original trilogy and excess of the prequels. Also Vader getting his revenge on Obi with the fire was AWESOME.
Obiwan mentioning a brother is a nod to the fact that the original script of A New Hope had it to where him and Owen Lars were brothers which would add a personal touch towars Obiwan's reasoning for choosing Tatooine on top of it being a fairly remote planet.
It was nice to actually see Darth Vader as he is supposed to be! By some miracle, Vader has escaped being toned down or reimagined. Dragging random people through the street, killing indiscriminately because he can.
A New Hope, Leia to Luke on the Death Star: "Ben, Ben Kenobi, he's here ? ". That indicates that she knows him. But the message in R2 indicates she does not know Obi-wan. So, I think that Leia did not know that Obi-Wan and Ben were the same person, maybe she just never put it all together.
in a canon comic after Darth Vader kills the separatists and is staring out in Mustafar (his crying scene) QuiGon attempts to talk to him but Vader assumed he was hallucinating and then ran after a mustafarian teenager
Obi-wan was there when Luke and Leia were born so of course he knows about her, that wasn’t news to him/his force ghost. Yoda isn’t the only one who knew.
What’s going on dude. I have a question for you. You mentioned that the holograms were in relation to the importance of the character being bigger and smaller. However, in Empire strikes back when Vader was being spoken to by the commander of the ATAT, Vader‘s hologram was tiny. I always laughed when I imagined how Vader would sound in that hologram. If he would have a tiny voice? Lol
If i recall, ita because he failed to stop luke at the death star, maybe he lost rank and had to prove himself again to the emperor? He still maintains his sith rank, but his imperial rank has been known to be flexibly changed due to his untactful approaches to delicate situations. Rank doesn't matter to him though he can choke officials all day and regain position over anyone overhim.
I love the scene on the back of the truck. Obi Wan trying puts his hood up to look as much like a Jedi as possible. Then Stormtrooper says “it’s a long journey” and 60secs later they all jump off the back 😂
People are hating on this episode for fr no reason they say "Vader didnt chase them" and don't put a second thought into it. Vader was probably wanting to keep him alive to torture him, and let him escape to "play" with his "prey". Either that or was disappointed with the fight, and wanted to fight "peak" Obi-wan.

Well people don't think this will happen because of the school shootings that have been happening
That would be fucking INSANE
They should have started the season with that. As soon as I saw the Jedi Temple I thought... Finally Disney Fucking gets Star Wars! and then... only random Jedi.
Will see how it ends but honestly I'm just indifferent to whatever Disney does with Star Wars from this point. Aside from Mando everything else (live action) just feels lifeless and a bit boring.
Man man man like for real Darth Vader was really obsessed on giving obi wan the same pain he felt...this episode was phenomenal!!

Loved the scene where Vader strides over to window in his chamber on Mustafar and looks out over where Obi-Wan defeated him.
yup he intentionally built his castle so he can look out at where he was burnt and beaten by obi wan
But Vader slices the sh*t out of her and throws her down a cliff 😈
Whoa.
Doubt it.
Theory is already out, it was leaked and alot of true fans were mad and I won't blame them bc shes a horrible character
What would make more sense to me is her killing clones with rage and anger and then attacking Anakin and him sensing the dark side within her, and saying he will teach her.
I don’t understand how obi-wan is tryna hide dressed exactly like a Jedi. You’d think he’d at least get a disguise.
He always dressed like that even in the ot
Don’t tell the writers that. They might make us watch him make hamburgers for a whole season out of spite.
@@mathijsrikken “Bro” stop projecting your poor memory onto the entire universe. For instance if a man was in prison for 10 years would he forget what a judge’s robe looks like? @@matthewdouglas1509 What do you mean? The empire wanted all memory of the jedi gone. So they tried to make sure of it. Also as I said prolly 99% of people in the galaxy and probably even more have never seen a jedi so how would they recognize one?
It's not a plothole that leia refers to obi wan as only a friend of her father, as when luke said he's here to rescue her with "ben kenobi" she instantly knows the name as it was the name he used when he saved her
true and the reason Ben was named after Obi wan was because he's a main reason Han and Leia met and he died saving them in a new hope
Han even referred to obi wan as Ben's godfather
Yup! It's better that Leia is connected to Ben Kenobi, it makes more sense as to why she comforts Luke in ANH in the Falcon as well.
@@Andrew-eb8sw
I just don’t get the unforced errors.
@@benjaminanthony3336 ya, maybe that spin movie is advanced anti-youngling killer 1000
Absolutely Spot On
There’s no way the third sister doesn’t die before the end of the show because of how many times she disobeys Vader
I think Vader is going to kill her when he finds out leia is his daughter
I think the Grand Inquisitor is going to kill her. Being killed by the guy she tried to kill and usurp would be such an ironic end.
@Come moc with me so just the second sister
That is clearly a hallucination of Anakin that Obi-Wan saw. They had a sibling relationship. Obi-Wan called him his brother. He didn't attempt to drag him through the fire. He did drag them through the fire.

I think the real question for the episode is how Reva made it to the end of the tunnel BEFORE Leia did, as there was only one way through the tunnel. (The answer is PLOT).
I was thinking this too, makes no sense
@zen view not without leaving VERY subtle clues at to the correct direction to go. This only assuming you have the exit strategy planned with being compromised and potentially followed in mind. With a few traps along the way and def near the end for good measure.
Really isn't that difficult to figure out where they'd be going. Where else are you going to try to escape to than the spaceport?

100%...the real fight is yet to come.

Aye he let him go, the man who dismembered him. I don't think so it was terrible writing

Best part was Quinlan Vos being mentioned, hopefully we'll see some of him in new shows
I really want to love this show - but, there have been some writing decisions which are making me struggle, the chase through the forest where Flea and his henchmen couldn't catch her - him digging in the desert, hearing a thud, then in the next scene the box is completely unearthed and visible. If he didn't use the force to find those sabres then how the hell did he know where they were? At this point is he cut off from the force or not? In this episode, the Storm Troopers say are looking for a Jedi - while sitting across from a guy dressed like a Jedi - like, is that the entirety of the search:
"Are you a Jedi?" -
"No!"
"Okay on your way then!"
Has Kenobi forgotten how to use the force?
Yes! The Leia’s forest running scene is just…💀 Like I could run faster and smarter than that to catch a CHILD
Agree with all of this. Jedi fight was so clunky. Tired of the shaky cam as well
With the whole Vader fire scene;
Vader could of just walked through the fire, seeing as he lives on a fire planet, and has become what he fears, cool image, plus maybe triggers Obi- Wan's ptsd again.
Agree with everything, can't love this show despite how much I want to, the writing is so lacking and some decisions are just baffling !
But that's a minor thing :)
Thought Young Leia was much better in this episode - which was a 7 or 8/10 episode in my eyes.
Obi wan hasn’t used his lightsaber in 10 years. Shut himself off from the force. As Vader said, time has made him weak. He probably in shock too

Loved hearing the voice of JEJ as Vader again
I loved how they showed how out of touch Old Ben was, in the fight with Vader you can see Vader fighting one handed with ease, yet Old Ben is struggling to hold him back with both hands.
Such a small yet massive detail that stood out for me
similar to the first part of Vader vs Luke on Cloud City.

“This is not the Kenobi you’re looking for.”
@@123stinko Shes 10 years old man. I can trick a 10 year old without force powers lmao.. wouldn't even be hard to gaslight a 10 year old into thinking they imagined the entire journey. Memory is weird that way.
I’m sure people as smart as yourself will be writing this in to patch up the giant plot holes most Stan’s are coping about.
Obi-Wan's brother was originally Owen Lars (according to the ROTJ novel.)
Leia knows him by Ben, and in the scene where the empire agent that helps them says its hard to imagine the great obi wan, leia has left the room and kenobi says this days is ben only and on the next scene the woman calls him ben, so Leia so far knows a Ben Kenobi not a Obi Wan
Some of the best Star Wars content in years!. I was at the edge of my seat the whole
Time!
Anyone else think the Vader showing up and Obi-Wan slowly jogging away was kinda awkward? Like the way they filmed that was weird. And the second explosion just…ignites the fuel that we saw burn out? and that flame somehow creates an angle to where the stormtroopers say “we can’t get around!” even though Vader could force blown the fire out (just like he previously did)
_I’m sorry but the writing is just…not smart and it’s immensely disappointing because I’m really, really trying to enjoy this._
Thank you I thought I was the only one. Turns out you can escape Vader with a slight jog and a small fire? Wtf and the duel was slow and clunky
@@simplystellar_ i mean wasn’t it obvious he’s toying with his dinner? Come on, not that hard to put together
I like how over the past few yrs, they've really highlighted how much of a beast Vader was. Dude's like Jason Voorhees with the force lol
really really enjoyed the horror aspects they use for Vader. And even to obi-wan, he walks with untouchable confidence
Theory: 3rd Sister wants to kill Anakin because of what he did to the Jedi kids...
Watch they have Reva be the one that rescued Grogu
Obiwan mentioning a brother is a nod to the fact that the original script of A New Hope had it to where him and Owen Lars were brothers which would add a personal touch towars Obiwan's reasoning for choosing Tatooine on top of it being a fairly remote planet.
I love all the Darth Vader stuff and Vader vs Obi-Wan was great but would've been better with Star Wars music that Disney doesn't want to use
It was nice to actually see Darth Vader as he is supposed to be! By some miracle, Vader has escaped being toned down or reimagined. Dragging random people through the street, killing indiscriminately because he can.
Lmao...Vader just did all that to burn Obi-Wan....Great Episode ngl
A New Hope, Leia to Luke on the Death Star: "Ben, Ben Kenobi, he's here ? ".
That indicates that she knows him. But the message in R2 indicates she does not know Obi-wan.
So, I think that Leia did not know that Obi-Wan and Ben were the same person, maybe she just never put it all together.
Was it obvious to anyone else that theres more to the loader droid? Maybe he's Vos in disguise and is married to Tala.
I believe Vos has a lover (after Ventress' death) in canon
agree... something is up with that Droid. Definitely. ob1 brother in disguise
That droid is not a droid
Reva doesn't seem to have Sith eyes, unlike the other Inquisitors, suggesting she hasn't fully given herself over to the Darkside.
Qui gon could have talked to Vader as a way to buy obi some time I think that's maybe what stopped him from going through the fire
in a canon comic after Darth Vader kills the separatists and is staring out in Mustafar (his crying scene) QuiGon attempts to talk to him but Vader assumed he was hallucinating and then ran after a mustafarian teenager
Obi-wan was there when Luke and Leia were born so of course he knows about her, that wasn’t news to him/his force ghost. Yoda isn’t the only one who knew.
Series isn’t perfect but I like where it’s going.
It's better than The Book of Boba Fett.
@@Lance37a in some ways, but I would argue it hasn’t had an episode that was quite as good as BOBF ep 2 was yet
When Obi Wan says Hello when being picked up by the driver, he could have said Hello There, huge missed opportunity haha
Rank doesn't matter to him though he can choke officials all day and regain position over anyone overhim.
i loved this episode, the battle between vader and obi wan. just blew my mind. my dad was just like jaw just hit the floor over it. lol.
Anakin and Obi wan actually had a more brotherly relationship, than father son relationship
Both actually
Defo more brother vibes
I love the scene on the back of the truck. Obi Wan trying puts his hood up to look as much like a Jedi as possible. Then Stormtrooper says “it’s a long journey” and 60secs later they all jump off the back 😂
People are hating on this episode for fr no reason they say "Vader didnt chase them" and don't put a second thought into it. Vader was probably wanting to keep him alive to torture him, and let him escape to "play" with his "prey". Either that or was disappointed with the fight, and wanted to fight "peak" Obi-wan.
Yea him stalking Kenobi in the open field in the dark was very familiar to how an animal hunts his prey.
kenobi playing fuckin side kick in his own damn show to a 10 year old...
