  • Yes, I did make a video on Hyundai IONIQ 6 vs. IONIQ 5 few months ago at Busan International Motor Show, here's the link: • Comparing IONIQ 6 vs. ...
    But unlike the last time, I actually do have IONIQ 6 and IONIQ 5 parked right next to one another, so let me help you decide which one you should get - should you ever be debating between the two.
    I also have both in white color (but names are different - Serenity White Pearl for IONIQ 6; Atlas White for IONIQ 5) and both are fully loaded option with Digital Side Mirrors as well, so this really should help you exterior-wise.
    There are many videos on both cars reviewing inside out, so feel free to type in the keyword on my channel or car name + CarSceneKorea.
    Thanks for watching, and enjoy!

      All IONIQs use up-cycled and recycled materials and the parts where leathers used to be are made with plastic. So all those brown interior you see are actually plastics with leather-like texture 👍 And it indeed is brown, I soon will have a vid focusing on the interior and drive.

    I noticed that the door handles were in the "open" configuration for the whole video. Was this because you were near the car and in motion? Recessed handles are great for aerodynamics, but if this is how they are when the door is unlocked, it just yells out "rob me!"
    Back to back, I notice how much higher the bottom of the 6's rear window is. How does this compare with rear visibility, using the mirror? Do you lose perspective on anyone close behind you? The whale tail could have been further down the trunk and still been appealing.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I had the car on Accessory mode the whole time hence the open door handles. IONIQ 6 could've been running too but I doubt that seeing the DRL turned off. Think I had some inside operation filmed as well that didn't make it to the edit. The car will lock itself after some time if you walk away with the key, so no worries. All things we've had from ICE cars are fully applied to EVs if not more. As for the visibility, it's much better than a two door coupe and not as bad as one might suspect. Due to the ground clearance, I think IONIQ 6 actually provided better rear view visibility just using the rear view mirror. Lastly, every inch of the whale tail is shaped to reduce drag and Cd of IONIQ 6 Hyundai proposes 😎

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Now that I think abt it, the key was inside the whole time bc the alarm screams every single time I shut the door without the key inside - you prob know this if you have driven a Hyundai.

If I am able to get a good deal selling my Ioniq 5, am able to find the Ioniq 6 at MSRP, and if the Hyundai is able to get an extension on the EV tax credit in the US, I probably would switch, but I would exptect it to be a long time before those conditions are met. Two absolutely outstanding car from any crowd. Hyundai got it to have real USP for people that do NOT like the same boring car as their anyhow boring neighbors. In May I got my Kia EV6 AWD in Snow White pearl with only black ‚leather‘ seats and white ceiling. Very luxurious in a new way and definitely leading German competition at double the price and also - believe it or not - leading in a well balanced out technology and drivetrain. Which other brand can really compete with the E-GMP? Yes partially only Tesla so far! So after driving 54 years and most premium brands the Kia was my best choice. Imagine also a luxury GT-crossover driving around with an average of 1,9 Liter petrol or 16,3 kWh at max. of Switzerlands speed limits. So I am driving fast but with soft accelerator pedal and far forsight. That’s the trick of low consumption! With an EQE that is comparable and fully equipped I so drove with 21,5 kWh incl. in both cars 21° climate (Kia of course with Heat Pump included and not only on demand). Coldgate was never an issue and we have much snow in our mountainous region!
