    It's rare for me to be as disappointed in something as I am in my emove cruiser. Strongly recommend against any product from Voro Motors. Quality control and overall design are extremely wanting, and the waterproofing is an absolute lie. The 600w continuous motor struggles on most slopes, and the range is less than half of what's advertised. A cargo box attachment specifically made for the cruiser wound up grinding down the attachment point for my rear brake before I noticed and promptly uninstalled the nearly $200 feature. The brake absolutely would have failed if I hadn't noticed. Though polite, every single interaction with Voro's customer service ended in something going wrong. One of the managers debated me on whether or not I had been properly informed about the scooter before purchasing, implying that all my issues were on my fault alone. Especially interesting since I gleamed a lot of my information from this channel before purchasing. The throttle failed after it was was swamped with morning condensation about two months ago, I've been waiting on a replacement throttle as they often sell out. I mostly just use it to haul garbage and packages from the end of my long driveway. It's just not capable of much else. Sad that this is my first scooter experience as I think I'll prefer to stick with ebikes from here on out.

    I would not waste your time with emove touring. I made several complaints already with their scooter. I had issues with the brake line. It constantly pops open causing the screws to come loose and making this equipment extremely dangerous. I was almost ran over by a vehicle after the brakes were not working properly. The ignition as well broke twice on me... which they say they cover under warranty. I waited 2 weeks for parts. At the end they offer to have the scooter shipped to them for repair ... but YOU have to pay for shipping with the box they’ll send you. At the end I’m not happy with the product and service. If you’re also looking into the emove cruiser, don’t buy it! . The cruiser is a nightmare too, a friend of mine had the cruiser returned it 2x for repair and when they returned it back to him with missing parts! Luckily for him voro motors actually refunded him the full price. I was not offered that. So again look elsewhere this is not worth your time. I had this scooter for several months and week after week I had some sort of issue. I will be uploading my issues in a TH-cam video of the scooter issue. Save your 900 dollars, these scooters are not worth it.

    I had the rear brake cable housing fall out of the recessed mount it sits in, causing me to completely lose my one and only rear drum brake. I eventually solved with teflon tape/twine but it is something I would note on buying this scooter. I really love the quality of the ninebot and how the tires feel in NYC.

    • @krousaj
      @krousaj 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same problem. After having to constantly replace tape I ended up using a zip tie to keep the brake cable from popping out of the mount. I highly recommend the zip tie method as it keeps the cable in place and I no longer have to constantly adjust the breaks.

    received an emove touring couple days ago. overall a good and comfortable machine. top speed goes down for heavier rider like me, to about 21mph, which is plenty. (240lbs rider). the rear brake needs some improvement. the housing cable tends to slip out in the rear bracket causing the brake to engage lightly. the solution seems to have the adjuster screw at the max settings, just before the pads engage. this does not seem ideal, and there could be some improvements to prevent the housing from getting out.

    Does anybody do distance testing at say 25kph (15.5mph) which is the scooter speed limit in Australia, and a lot of people don't want to go flat out all the time. Can it be calculated by using the battery size, motor size on a fairly regular daily commute? Your steep Hillclimb is interesting, but a lot of us ride on fairly level footpaths and roads.

      We get a ton of requests, including from Varla, to review their scooters. Is this any different from other scooters we have reviewed, the Apollo Pro or Zero 10X. There are at least 6 copies of this exact scooter sold by different companies just in North America. Basically, if a scooter is new, or has some cool features, we'd love to review it, but there just isn't much value in reviewing something that we is exactly the same as others.

      No that thorough, Made no mention of all the complaints about the design flaw of the brakes, Just check and see how many people are complaining (Reddit, youtube vids, this thread, even Voros how to replace brakes video) about the brake cable jumping out of the housing and having no brakes, Voro are aware of the issue, They supposedly are designing something to keep the cable in place, At the moment most are having to use zip-ties to hold the cable in place., Kinda crazy that you need zip-ties to ride a $900 scooter safely.

    I got my touring about a year ago. I was so excited then i put it together and noticed the handle bars not stable and makin a noise. I immediately email voro to pet them know and ask questions b4 i rode it. I was told i need to ride it give it some miles it should be good togo. A couple months later some srupid gold pin that voro uses to adjust the height of handle bara came out in the stem of my scooter. I could still ride it i was just bent all the way down.

      I got in contact voro tech dept and the sent me a label i had to get a bix and ship it from nyc to cali. All that time without my scooter killed me. Finally got it back and was happy until a month ago same problem. Damn gold pin. Smdh not voro want me to pay for shipping to and from and whatever repairs depending on how long they take. To refix what they said they did. Ima take the loss on this one. People be careful with this company dont let them fool you. Buy at you own risk. Ps no problem with the ride just the nosey handle bars that cant stay up. And the piss poor customer service from some kid named joey!!

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds frustrating.
      What about the clamp to hold the handlebars up? The pin is a secondary measure for safety. The primary thing holding your handlebars in place is the adjustable lever-style clamp. It should hold your handlebars at just about any height, even without the pin. -Paul

      The brake adjustment screw needed like 7 full rotations to loosen it enough so that it wouldnt rub. Just my observations! I dont think its a bad thing necessarily bc its easy to learn how to adjust things with the tooks they include but i know that ppl like my friend would never even notice that it rubs or they would assume its part of the design lol

    Out of curiosity, twist accelerators are the standard for motorcycles. Why aren't they adopted by the scooter manufacturers?

    • @Spursrule1969
      @Spursrule1969 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I come from a motorcycle background (i used to be a motorcycle courier) I own the Cruiser and Touring, When i saw the twist throttle i immediately brought it, I actually don't like it on the scooter, I noticed when going around corners i always kinda go as fast as i can, When you turn on the cruiser you have to lean to the side and slightly forward while turning the handle bars, any tiny wrist/elbow movement during the turn activates the throttle and a number of times i kinda had to straighten up because you do slighly move your body position going around turns, I've actually removed the twist throttle and put a thumb throttle on as i think it's just much safer, When you take your thumb off the throttle thats it no acceleration, You can't take your hand off the twist throttle.
      I do think the different angles of sitting down compared to standing up make a massive difference, When i turn on a motorbike i keep one arm straight and just lean with the bike, but like i said earlier with the scooter you move closer to the handlebars and have to bend your elbows and can't lock your arms straight.
      It's probably fine going at slower speeds around turns but thats just not how i ride.

    • @Camrographer
      @Camrographer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Spursrule1969 That's for putting that into perspective. I figured twist-shifters would be superior but i guess not.

      I think they have a new version of their drum brake? They seemed to be offering it to customers who have had problems with the first drum brake. I didn't buy the Emove Touring, because it seemed to have some bugs in the design or something. Maybe it's better now, after some tweaks. I bought an InMotion L9 this month, and am very happy with this sturdy scooter...someone called it "a tank" here on TH-cam LOL. I love the suspension and the hill-climbing ability most.

Put a plastic bag or any cover over the throttle and any headlight a scooter comes with. This is the best way to water seal any scooter. Not guaranteed to never have problems but you could definitely ride in heavy rain and not worry. Never leave it outside though, at least try and rush to to your location.
