He was and better, in 1971 he was voted no 1 in the world above Clapton and page, by melody maker magazine, he turned down the rolling stones, deep purple and cream, who else would have been so bad ass, and he played with no pedals or gimmicks only with heart and soul and toured like no other, had no personal life, but lived for the music and the fans, to me he's the greatest guitarist ever

It is tragic that no one took better care of rory. I would imagine that he put his health last. Did anyone try an intervention? I know he had a liver transplant, but why should he catch an infection while your in the hospital. I,m not blaming anyone but it sure seems like someone dropped the ball. Now he is gone.
MRSA.......seems to be linked to giving antibiotics to animals in the food industry .The bacteria get increasingly resistant to treatment . Hospitals are potentially dangerous places if the cleaning is not up to scratch .Very sad altogether .
