Loving mine the more i run in them. First run they didnt feel like they were helping me at all, or rolling like my rocket x2's but looking at my pace i was going faster than i felt. I did get a sore toe on my Right foot but tried again today and could really feel the foam working and no toe issues.
Ran a 1:41:54 in a half this weekend. I really wanted to bust 1:40 like I used to but I know like you did I have to get the training right. Concrats Fordy
I love the Edge + it really allows my legs to turnover at max cadence and I just can’t run slow in them. So, I was really looking forward to the Edge Paris but ended up returning it. As an older heel stricker 8 min/mile Marathon runner I don’t feel I am fast enough to get the benefit from these shoes and after an 18K run my legs were destroyed as they have very little stability in the heel. They are VERY similar to the VF3 , more so than the Edge+, which I already have and no need to have both in your shoe rotation. I am looking forward to giving the Saucony Pro 4 a try as I think that is a better fit for me based on the reviews.
The Sky Paris will be my marathon shoe for Vienna next week. It's not only the weight (they feel like a sheet of paper), it's also the bounce. The only shoe with a bigger bounce is the Alphafly 1. The Sky Paris trump my favorite up until now shoe, the Adidas Pro 3. Love them.
no amount of carbon plated shoe is going to save you if you don't TRAIN!!! with that being said, i did have Vaporfly 2 vibes on the Edge Paris but more stable, comfy and lighter. the weight is nuts!!! i did make a mistake, i bought a US8.5 instead of US 8.0. so now im contemplating if i should buy another one with the right shoe size or buy Sky Paris (with the right size ofc). My main race is Gold Coast marathon which is 3 months away, so lots of time to ponder on this.
Chris, I just ran a 9 minute PB (3:41) in the Saucony Pro 4s at the Brighton marathon ... and will almost certainly run them again in London next weekend as they were so comfortable & stable as well as giving me plenty back. Interested to hear if you choose the Pro 4s or the Edge Paris (or our old fave the Adidas Pro 3s)
Great vid Fordy!! Would love get these at some point. Did the LLH as well and I was blown away (not by the wind) 😂.. but by he amazing it was.. fav half I’ve ever done.. ran for Tommys so raised money for them.. would love to do it next year if I can. 10/10 would of be 11/10 if I got to meet you 😫
Loved your start😂. Interested to hear your post race thoughts as I’ve also just purchased the edge Paris. Is it a insta 360 you record with as other shoetubers appear to carry a selfie stick whilst recording
good video Fordy, I have a question. This Metaspeed Edge model is very narrow inside. If you had to compare the edge + vs edge paris? The Paris ones come just as narrow or wider. greetings from Mexico
Great video. Is there any difference between the Metaspeed Egde and Metaspeed Edge Paris, or is it just the coloring and branding that's different, with the same fundamental shoe?
@@Fozzee.1970 I wasn’t able too as the laces weren’t long enough. I’m trying to get a refund now anyway as the foam has compressed under foot or the plate has bent which I’m fuming about as loved the shoes 😭
The Sky Paris bounces you along but you need strong feet. The Edge rolls you through and sinks into the forefoot more. I prefer this even though I'm a stride runner.
The best explanation between Edge and Skye yet. Keep up the good work.
Wow, thanks!
Ran Brighton at the weekend in the Paris, is my dream marathon shoe, got a PB and legs have recovered really well after
Well
Done

Brilliant shoe, I’m taking the Edge Paris to London 2024!

If you like the Adios Pro 3 you woud like the edge too
Can you say anything about AP3 sizing vs Metaspeed Paris?
@@thomastemistokle1279 I run AP3 with a passion, now flirting with the two Metaspeed options. Any sizing recommendation relative to AP3?
I really feel like I have to get both of them run in them to decide which one’s for me.
The sky Paris will be my marathon shoe, the weight, the bounce, the nimbleness, it’s legitimately my perfect race day shoe
Good luck
Prefer the Edge. Won't be taking it past 10k though. I'm too big to control it for longer than that!

The video i needed. Been looking at both. Thanks for making this 👌
tks
Tried them both - sky was more natural for me at any speed and cadence - have Pro 3's and will alternate between the two of them.

Thanks mate and well done on the pb
Ordered edge Paris yesterday and pretty excited to test it for my Edinburgh marathon next month.
Good luck

Great and specific - to-the-point explanation as always. Love from Pakistan.
Thank you

F ( was about to ask the same Question re invisible selfie stick )
I can see that you would pick Adidas Adizero Pro 3 for your London Marathon!

would you take this over the Adios Pro 3?

The foam is better and lighter
I struggle with a bit of heel slippage in mine and I went true to size in my UK 9.5…assuming you had no issues with this Fordy?
no mate
Did you do a runners knot? Mine were fine after that.

Good morning. Interesting description. I'm not a fast runner but the Like to Fordy. Have a great solar eclipse day.
Thanks, you too!
Would these shoes work for fast walking on treadmills and outside?
Would the sky paris be better for the faster paced runners fordy? Ive bought the sky and now im doubting myself
I think so it’s more dependent on you and your mechanics
The Sky Paris bounces you along but you need strong feet. The Edge rolls you through and sinks into the forefoot more. I prefer this even though I'm a stride runner.
Is this the same as the ‘meta speed sky plus?
That’s down to £157 online
I need this in my life
Defo
Anyone else have the problem of the tongue slipping back into the shoe?
TTS? ❤
This shoe is for me, as soon as I can!
Enjoy
@@FordyRuns …just got to find a pair!
Iv heard the edge is for more a nippy stride
Any stability issue on Edge Paris? thanks..
I’ve had none so far
