  • Kavita Krishnan is an author and former politician. She has been vocal on matters pertaining to democracy and equality. I had the opportunity to speak with her on the state of India today and also about whether the anti-democracy trends worldwide have something in common.

Dialogue must start from the people in power. Anyway, Huge respect for Comrade Kavita for expressing her thoughts by going above and beyond the party line.

That's why we need the opposition to promise the masses(who have no idea of democracy) to provide democracy in the workplaces (which is the actual material change in a citizen's life that will change the masses pov on general democracy)
Without that the masses will fall towards fascism (bc it's the easier path to fall)

How can you vote with love in your heart for your fellow countrymen, when you are aware that a vast majority of them wouldn’t mind if the country heads to fascism? What was always needed was a kind of cultural revolution to rid the population of their long held prejudices. We didn’t do it (there was no one there courageous enough to do it), and now a huge wave of hindu revival is getting hold of the country. God bless us!

Kavita ji & Vimoh thank you for doing this. However, I'm not clear about two things :- 1) In general, what are the next steps for fight for better India(I understand dialogue & understanding others POV is the key aspect there). 2) Why right-wing is rising across the world & how we can systematically address it(I had asked this to you in past too). May be its my lack of understanding things & would love you hear you lucid explanation of it(Also, I can come in members stream & discuss it, missed the last one).

      1) get honest. Be open to call Islam and communism are enemies of democracy and ban them
      2) right wing is raising because common people have understood that the left and ideals are just and eyewash and they r just bunch of dishonest people.

39:25 I was avoiding this video for quite a while and now that I have watched it I think that my gut feeling was right. This is the same old democracy is good repertoire. It says a lot but says nothing at the same time.
while I appreciate the comment that Russia who is a known aggressor in various regions, is Supporting Palestine-is hypo critical. It is equally hypo critical to ram throughout the video about UN declaration of human rights- THE SAME UN that protected the Israeli violence (and still does not implement any action against it after they have been exposed so much …)and gave it a legitimate status on the map at the cost of indigenous Palestinian people.
Nothing more than the mouthpiece of a “civilised” people, so when we look back at this time after say 50 years, someone from the white colonial imperialist camp can say that “LOOK WE HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED THE GOOD THING “

I am not really a complete fan of whats happening but those who question the EVM should take a basic course on how storage, technology, function and SOP around voting happens and then cast your doubt if any still remain.

It's too easy to be an atheist
But its too hard to be rational
Because the first required quantity to be a rational person is you have to forget your pre conceived thought
otion (which you believe is right)
And the second important thing is to ask questions Why until the answer is logically \ practically satisfactory.
