We still dont know anything about dark matter and energy (besides that it must be there). And so, things might be popping out of nothing and we don't know yet. So we should reserve our grand claims about the universe. Because we don't know much of it yet.
Causation applies to god himself, believers say " universe has to be created and it can't just be an accident or it can't just be there", then the same thing applies to their god. Where does he come from? Who created him? Btw I'm also a believer but I think of it as a probability.
