The corrupt are being summoned by courts and after examining the charge sheet and hearing all parties, they may be sentenced to jail for their corrupt deeds. What is wrong with that? Isn't that's what happens in a democracy when a common citizen or a high and mighty are treated equally? Isn't the welfare of the nation of paramount importance?

    BJP of Vajpayee era and Modi era has changed a lot in terms of factors like- Vajpayee govt: modesty, decency, ethical, more democratic, space for civil society, preserving of democratic institutions, absence of political vendetta, etc.

We are a nation of tough leaders after all...

    • @anooph123

      @Suman Kundu few things: Lynching is not a Myth - It's a reality. Journalism - I am sure you must have figured this out already that We don't have Journalists anymore...we have Noise makers on both side of Aisles. The loudest voice is on the Right and it's full of Lies...I am sure you believe large part of it. Thirdly, whataboutism doesn't work...Nehru died more than 54 years back...How long do you want to blame him? Mixed economy model that India adopted was the need of 1947, did anyone expect a country to fully embrace capitalism and Globalisation soon after coming out of an Imperialist Invasion that the country faced. I am glad, you accepted the point on Joblessness..but again, adding additional dimensions (which can't be measured) to justify the current situation doesn't help. Does it? Also, this isn't really about being smart and stuff...This is just a civil dialogue between two people and I am glad we are able to conduct it with utmost sanctity.

      @WarpVision 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What is an educated politician. A person who is so far removed from the pulse of their own people and still cannot come to terms with the defeat they have faced and are in denial.
      Real education lies in recognising our immediate surroundings and people who are our own. Especially in a country like India, where there is a huge disparity in thought between people living in the city and the remote villages. Where all of us unify is the common threads that bind us through culture and familiarity of people which is a direct reflection of the collective consciousness of being Indian. The soul of our country lies in the villages. If we gave that a chance to get stronger, I don't see anything wrong with it.

    Though this interview was conducted 4 years ago, the answers given by Yashwanth Sinha to the questions raised, are relevant. He was candid about himself, his party, and about the way the political dispensation from 2014 has been making use of communication media, and controlong the minds of the people of this country, which is not at all good for Indian Democracy.
    I feel that this interview give an understanding about the quality of the maturity of the mind and experience of Yasvanth Sinha, as a family member, IAS Officer, as well as a politician. It throws light on why he followed a path of dissent within the party, yet he continued his interactions, quality relationship with part workers, while maitaining distance from the high level party leaders.

    2. What is the purpose of his saying "not enough is being done for minorities" ??? does he mean to endorse the Congress party's tradition of pandering/appeasing minorities & compromising/ignoring/neglecting/exploiting the majority ???
    3. What prevented him from talking about what were the disagreements that led to his seperation from the BJP ??? It would certainly have been a revelation to the people

    • @mitbomb
      @mitbomb 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. It was done during emergency and that's why there was so much protest at that time because that was WRONG. Leaders of BJP themselves opposed it.
      2. To do enough you have make them feel safe. How would you feel if there is always a risk of getting lynched in false accusations when you are going out of town in night.
      3. He told a lot reasons like the way party was operating and the discipline of the workers. If you want more you can actually read the book it should have some other things.
      Speaking of Majorities during Congress when were they neglected or exploited can you give me an example.
      By saying these things don't consider me a Congress lover as I also voted for Modi but it does not mean that I have to keep a blind eye on everything. People have the right to select a leader and also a right to protest when they don't work in the way which is acceptable to everyone.

Eg the donations at temples are considered as the government income and used for promotion of places of worship of other communities. Funds are not returned to the temples where donations are made. Nehru provided special subsidies to Muslims to travel on Haj to Mecca/Madina from the donations made by devotees at hindu temples. The supreme court order that interferes with the centuries old sacred customs of the Sabarimala temple in Kerala in favour of Leftists and Christian missionaries who are mere divisive activists and not devotees of the presiding deity of the concerned temple.
      Indira Gandhi modified the constitution of India at the instance of leftist parties to add words such as "secular and socialist" during the emergency of 1975.
      The history of India was altered to play down the barbaric atrocities inflicted by muslims towards other religious belief. Eg. You may read the book "Tipu Sultan the tyrant of Mysore by Sandeep BalaKrishna for a factual account.

    Mr Sinha is what we can say typical Indian politicians who can adjust his convictions according to the situation.Modi on the other hand is something much different who believes in his convictions and attempts to change the situation to his convictions.This is what which makes him to see Modi as some one alien.But most of the Indians want a politician like Modi and not Sinha Digvijay singh Gandhi Mulayam or Lalu.

I actually wanted to see his reaction to the election result, the mandate thar PM Modi jiand BGJ have got. I was desperate to see Yashwant ji's cry as he used to do before and during the election process. Well, I didnt see his cry of election result but anyhow, its good to see it finally! This man is dejected, defeated, paranoid, and acts like like a drowning person trying clutxh on a straw. Stull lying and trying propagate and mislead people. Thats pity. Jai Bharat! Jai Shri Ram! Quite thoughtful, Mr. Sinha. It's a valid criticism that euphoria is not good. But the opposition has to offer a credible and valid vision for India. It's not enough just to criticize Mr. Modi.
