    A very intimate and personal video on how you shade your balls in Krita. I appreciate the information since I'm new to Krita. Easy to understand and follow.

    I’m always confused by the other shader type options (for example colour dodge in this video) and how they differ. Some can be obvious, but others I’m not sure what they’re doing.
    Great vid. Nice to see a simple circle develop into a fun Grenade :)

    When I went to shade my ball, I had in on the "ball layer" (I thought) and when I clicked on the little lock, nothing happened; no shading at all. It turned out I had managed to put the ball on the background layer instead of paint layer 1, before it was re-named "ball layer". Hope this helps someone else following the tutorial.

    Ummm...I find it quite strange that I downloaded Krita over the weekend, and low and behold you uploaded a Krita tutorial. LOL I do hqve to say that I have spent a lot of money on Clip Studio, and Krita is probably going to make that purchase obsolete. The features in Krita a pretty amazing. Thanks for creating this tutorial. I will be putting this lesson into practice.

    Thank you for this. I don't know if this is a change in Krita 5, but my shadow layer looks like it is on top of my ball layer, even though the ball layer is on top and is fully opaque. In your demonstration, your ball is opaque, and the shadow layer is behind it.

    I just wanna ask that I am learning blender from 2.9 so can i follow or is it worth following the old tutorial, like before blender 2.8 because the interface is quite different, please reply I am counting on you.

    • @grabbitt
      @grabbitt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes but for starting out stick to 2.8 and beyond until you are comfortable with the interface than you can look at older ones

    Is there any way to have a layer blocking overlapping from outside a layer?
    I've had some issues trying to color in clothing on characters without having to trace the line between say the trousers and the shirt with the eraser...

    • @MrAkilleus
      @MrAkilleus 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I was a bit unclear. Say if you wanted to draw something behind the ball in your picture but you don't want the new colors to bisrupt or overapp what you've already drawn. Is there a way to make your pencil strokes ignore areas you've already painted?

    • @MrAkilleus
      @MrAkilleus 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ... Kinda reverse the effect of 2:10, where you would only dra/shade outside what you've drawn on a certain layer. (?)
