Thanks for this video - I was expecting way more obvious tricks, so I'm happily surprised. Not sure if I will use this new view feature but it's really cool to know I can do so. My favorite trick would be color picker, very similar to this in docker, but as a keyboard shortcut popup - just as this shade selector. It's good to know there are many different color pickers as keyboard popups - anybody can find his own :)
wow. Just got my tablet working and downloaded Krita. I had some fun on my own but this is the first video I've looked at...OMG this is mind blowing!! Thank you!!
A way to improve the brush selector/filter is to have a keyboard-only way to do it. In Krita 5.1.3, I can press 'B' to activate the brush tool, and if I want to search through the brushes I need to use the mouse to click the "search" field and then start typing. Thus, there's a keying action, a hover action (move hand from keyboard to mouse), a pointing action and then more keying to type the search criteria. This takes time, and it quickly adds up if you change brushes often. I propose the following UX - BB. Thus, if you pres 'B' you select the brush tool, just like now. But if you press BB (i.e. B and then B again in a quick succession), the focus is set to the search field, so you can go ahead and start typing the brush name right away.
Thanks a lot. What would you like to know for the following videos? and don't forget you have a lot of good things in other videos in the channel. //RM

It would be great if you could make a video that shows how to follow the text instructions for making a brush that includes gradients with multiple colors in it, and has control over the softness or hardness of all of the edges of the brush. Also, how to make that brush all one opacity (instead of changing opacitites, depending on what direction the brush stroke is made in). I'm really struggling with this stuff. I finally figured out how to make and save a basic brush to the brush toolbar, and how to get it to have multiple color gradients, but the last two things (softness for all brush edges, and having the same opacity regardless of brush stroke direction) are both tricks that I can't seem to figure out on my own.

I really love how much Krita has changed over the years. But there's still one thing to this day I'm still waiting for to be finally added, and that's to view the audio wave for animation. I'm more focus on the animating side and would really wish for that feature to be added, because its notoriously difficult to do lip-syncing by just listening to the audio. I just gave up with an animation not nearly half way because it's because viewing the audio wave form is more convenient than to listen to it and time my lip-sync just right.
