Prime Mishap!!! Using the K. I. S. S. Method...

  • Again, I wish to thank everyone who has expressed their prayers and/or condolences for the death of my Dad. The outpouring of support from my viewers has been tremendous and has helped in this difficult time. May God bless each and every one of you. Also, thank you for your patience. I am still making videos, but I took a couple weeks off-call after my dad passed, so I wasn't doing very many jobs. This is another job trying to get to the new normal without Dad. I will continue to perform jobs and create videos, as long as God allows. Things will be different moving forward. I have to trust that God will guide me and this channel.
So, in this video, I'm not quite certain how it happened, but a driver with a loaded spread axle flatbed found himself in a PRIME Mishap... The truck was in a ditch, bottomed out, and about to drop off a deep culvert. The loaded trailer was twisted and pushing the drives of the prime mover (tractor) down into the ditch until the dolly legs dug in. All coming to rest under our ARC nemesis, the overhead power lines. My first thought was to lift it out to prevent rupturing a fuel tank or creating other damage, but upon closer inspection, I decided that perhaps the K.I.S.S. method (Keep It Simple Stupid) would be better suited to this task. We shall see if I was correct.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taking the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!

It's only disrespectful if you take it that way. I myself wouldn't be blowing bubbles, but he clearly wasn't trying to disrespect Ron. The dude was stressed and chewing is a natural way of ridding stress.

You are blessed to have had your dad with you all these years. My dad passed away when I was 9. Now I'm 56 and still miss him (and my mom who passed away 30 years after him). I often wonder how life would have been with him by our side when I grew up.

I feel the same way as you do PA. My dad died in 1964 at age 51, I was 7. My mom died in 1970, age 53, I was 13. I'm 65 and not a day goes by I don't think of them and wonder if they'd be proud of me and my decisions in my life.

    • @JohnHallgren
      @JohnHallgren 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

I can certainly relate to your situation. I lost my dad when I was age 8, from ALS, and have no memories of him whatsoever. I lost my mom from a possible heart attack sitting across the table from me when I was age 46. Now in my mid-60s, and I’m now only one left in the family.

    • @MikeT-TheRetiredColonel

I'm with you on that, mine passed when I was 5, I'm also 56 and luckily Mom is still chugging along at 84. And, yeah, I still miss my Dad as well, even though I really did not get the chance to know him. You're a strong man, Ron, and seemingly strong with your faith. It'll take time, even though you might not think so now, you got this.

I'm so sorry Ron to hear about your Dad passing away, it's been awhile since I had not watched your videos with so many things I had been going through myself, I too lost 2 people in my life, one of my old girlfriend had past away from a massive heart attack at the age of 55 back in May of this year, 2021 and 4 months later I lost one of my aunt at the age of 83, she had woken up one morning feeling fine but after about a couple of hours that morning she started to feel the worse pain in her chest cavity that was getting worsen and by the time we called 911 for the Paramedic to come out, she was already dead. I know it's hard to lose a loved ones and a close friend, my old girlfriend passing away truly hit me the hardest and still today I can't believe she's gone, I still cared about her even as friends.
I'll be saying a prayer for you and your family Ron.

    Hey Ron,
This was so much better than earlier videos. This video did not show miles of the road getting to the scene, it was just the hard work at the scene! AWESOME

Ron, glad you are back on the horse; know how hard it must be. Your old man would want it that way. Trust me, he is with you on every job now.

Another job well done. Liked how you set the trailer brakes and pulled on the truck. I was also curious about the landing gear on the trailer but when the truck came out they came up. I always appreciate your slow steady winching. Such a key. Thank you & God bless.

I live just south of Springfield Missouri and I see Prime trucks getting towed DAILY

I don't see them being towed daily. You must have a sixth sense of when they are going to be towed or maybe I just work more than you! Hmmm

Between you and that truck of yours, you make it look easy. And you're a hell of a nice guy to boot. My dad has been gone 15 years come February. I sure miss him and sometimes find myself talking to him. You will too. Let the good memories comfort you.
May somehow I give what I have been given
Be half the man of the one who rests near
A gentle soul who blessed those around him
Lord take good care of the man I called dad.

I always wish I could show my father your videos. He was a mechanical engineer, used an old drafting table etc. He loved his winches, and always used it. He would have loved watching your work. He died at 77 in 1999, and I miss hi..

I always feel the need to stand and cover my heart with my hand when your videos start. It's a good feeling. Good work Sir. And my condolences on the passing of your Father. Treasure each and every memory. Been there, doing that, as I lost my Dad 56 years ago when I was 13. Keep doing what you are doing. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Oh the wisdom of youth, probably what got him into the bind in the first place. Lucky for him, TowMater is tougher, and the skill of Mr. Ron, an excellent team. Ron your daddy taught you well, every job you go out on he is looking over your shoulder and smiling. A true professional and fine gentlemen of you to assist him while he may have been a little distracted and getting him into the dock.
