he is my aspiration, i play how he played in kyuss ( arcing my back and getting low) seriously the best bassist ever in my opinion , still sad that kyuss broke up
I'm trying to learn his playing style by playing on the fretboard, its challenging to tap the strings instead of actually plucking them, but 4 years of playing one way will do that lol
I've never even heard of this dude before now. I guess that's because I'm not a rock-head. I'm more of a jazz-head, gospel-head, funk-head. But there's something about this guy Scott. He comes across (not childish but) with what I perceive as child-like humility that I find to be IMMEDIATELY endearing. I haven't met many adults with such a heartwarming trait.
Here's a couple more bass players who play upside down. - Jimmy Haslip (the yellow jackets) - Eugene Gales (The Eric Gales band) - Gerald Johnson (The Steve Miller band) - Sonny Thompson (Prince and the New Power generation)
when i started out playing guitar (lol) as a kid before i decided that playing bass was better in all ways, i used to play like this. When i was 13 i learned how to play normally, looking back i dont understand how I did it and i especially dont understand how players like scott and mononeon do it, drives me crazy. I wish i could though! maybe.

Scott seems to be a great and humble guy. He resembles a bit a child in a candy shop in this vid ;-)

very cool style. bass sounds amazingly clear.
"I've got a warwick inside my head"
It's got to set your pick free
He seems so humbled with being endorsed by warwick... Unique bassist and artist :)

Perhaps Scott should meet Jeff Schmidt, they might have something in common playing wise ;)
