Hi, I'm from Nicaragua, Central America. In 1992 I bought a 2-stroke yamaha gt 80cc motorcycle, I bought it from a neighbor for US$800 with an 8-month term but since I had an accident 2 times, I paid for it in 10 months hahaha. In 1995 I sold it and I regret it to this day because I lent that money plus US$200 to add US$1,000 and they didn't pay me, my father's cousin was my rat lawyer hahaha Until now when I see this video and hear that sound it came to me mind my cute little Yamaha GT 80cc two-stroke motorcycle. GOD BLESS YOU MUCH MORE.
Had 60 mini enduro when they first came out. Tore that bike up! If I wanted to spend time like that again I think I would go with an early 125 just for a better ergo fit. I do like how yesterday’s bikes are lower to the ground than today’s. Did a little of everything but I like riding trails the most. Have fun!!
I just got my 1971 Triumph T120R started this year. It hasn't started for over 20 years. It started on the first kick. This is going to be my summer project.
Hey again , so nice! Just cleaned my carb and was quite different from yours but had the exact black floats you ordered! (And grinded :) ) for what it's worth. Spark plug shiny black, oily, slight marks on piston. Can't wait to try and fire up!
Great little Bike...Now you'll need to make a second place on your Bike trailer for all those off road/on road activities you can do on your next Car & 2 Bike Holiday trips South...or any in any direction actually...
Thanks for great Videos. Interesting that you say 'petrol' as we do in Australia. Is that a Kentucky thing? I have just acquired a 1981 MX80H. Your videos are very helpful. Thanks again. Ray 🇭🇲🦘🏍🚲
I have an original bike. we never changed it, my papaw bought it BRAND new. I remember the carb. btw you would know... my uncle lost the carb. lol... so I'm restoring the bike w no key and no carb. 🤬😖
Hi, I just got my gandpa’s yamaha gt80 but i dont know the year, not in good shape but I wanna rebuilt this durtbike. I have some question for you if you accept to help me with me questions😊🙋🏼♂️
No. I had a 79 with that exact tank. My 79 looks identical. I am looking at an old photo of me on it when I was 10 years old right now. .@jeremyholmes7995

First kick that is impressive! Enjoy working on it this summer!
Nice job. Looks like it’s going to be a fun project to tackle. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching! I am looking forward to driving it around town hopefully soon!
Just like the one I had as a kid.
I hate those dang gas leaks. And then plenty of other fixes to keep you busy.
Yeah finally fixed the gas leaks, so happy about that!!! I will continue to work on it maybe after I get it done we can ride in Ohio and I buy lunch.

Glad to hear you're coming along with it, what year is yours?
@@kentuckyyankee 1980 to the best of my knowledge. Red tanks , white fenders. Looks identical to yours!
@@Chris.J.A.B I must have the wrong carburetor
I found a 1972 Yamaha 80 enduro today that is in great original condition with only a dent in the tank as far as damage.
Nice!
Anytime you have metal tank and rust , you have to use a in line filter!!,
Omg. Mine would$ never start! But I loved it!
This one started pretty easy after the first start, I need to stay on task and finish this one up!
Happy Father's day Benny, sucks the carb parts didn't fit but looks like you fixed the carbs main issue.
Thanks John, same to you! I got lucky this time, happens every now and then 😂😂
i got a 81 xt250 i thought this was a mini version for a sec lol
Amazing bike.looked like you were having some fun.
Thanks! Yeah I have held onto this bike I really like it, just good fun!

Thanks, this bike is definitely worthy of an adventure for sure!
Who cares if you have the wrong parts as long as you got an air grinder. Just perfect! 😂
Worked this time, got lucky! 😂😂

Very interesting video! I wish I still had my 1974 Kawasaki 100! You inspire me to dig out my Kawasaki KZ 650 that I was telling you about.
Thanks! What are you waiting on Greg, get to work on that bike!
@@kentuckyyankee Thanks for the inspiration! I will as soon as I get the chance.
aftermarket carb too. original had a wider flat choke lever.

Are these safe to ride around town on? I’m about to by one just for fun
I saw you put a touring windscreen on the z900rs. Are you interested in selling the pyramid windscreen?
I've already sold it but thanks for asking.
Hey man just wondering ware I could get a carburetor I can’t find them eny ware
Hard to find, I saw one once for $200 new and wish now I bought it. I've heard a vm16 will work but idk exactly how it mounts
I have te same bike what is tbe value
That's not a 1980. It's a 79 or earlier.
I was going off the build date on the frame 2/80 idk?
@@kentuckyyankee Frame and tank is 1980, motor likely not.
@@iconatlarge Yeah that's probably right

Why not just repair your old float? Its easy with solder.
