Hi, I'm from Nicaragua, Central America. In 1992 I bought a 2-stroke yamaha gt 80cc motorcycle, I bought it from a neighbor for US$800 with an 8-month term but since I had an accident 2 times, I paid for it in 10 months hahaha. In 1995 I sold it and I regret it to this day because I lent that money plus US$200 to add US$1,000 and they didn't pay me, my father's cousin was my rat lawyer hahaha Until now when I see this video and hear that sound it came to me mind my cute little Yamaha GT 80cc two-stroke motorcycle. GOD BLESS YOU MUCH MORE.
yeah just like the qt50. horn, tail light, brake light, signals work with key on from battery. Headlight only works when running because tiny little battery would drain in no time trying to power that headlight. Pretty sure that's the same headlight as qt50, Chappy and other Yamaha bikes. Treatland sells headlight with replaceable bulb for reasonable price. Try to save one beam. I learned that the hard way. If you blow the low beam, save the high beam.

Thank you appreciate that!
This is a fantastic video! I like how you deal with things!!
Where to buy these bulbs for cheap?

Yeah I wish I did save one beam to test the new regulator, I will look into that other type bulb, but hope I won't need it.
@@kentuckyyankee wait a minute, that's your 2nd gt80. what are your plans for that one? We may have to work out a trade.
@@jackrutherford-1 I regret to inform you the white one has left the building 😔
Great video would really enjoy a tour of that John Deere tractor and what you use it for
Thanks! Here is an old video with the tractor in it, I use it for everything! th-cam.com/video/dotA1qnz46U/w-d-xo.html
What bolted regulator did you use and where did you find it thanks good video
I had that exact bike! Man that thing was hard to start!!
This one starts easy, I really like this bike!
The old bikes were pretty simple wiring today they are electrical nightmares. 🙄
They have gotten much more complicated
Awesome 👊
Thanks!!
Also put the female part of the positive connector on the battery side. Just incase it comes out it won't ground out on you.
Good advice
I have the exact year model, minus a bunch of things.
Do you think a 12 volt conversion would be possible?
Anything is possible I'm sure it's been done
Sucks that the new headlight blew. Sucks even worse when your riding at night and it happens. 😁
Yeah, I knew better, hope the new regulator fixes it!
From the beginning i notice a fail regulator
