One of TV's greatest characters - hilarious, terrifying, psychopathic... But full of twisted love, need, thwarted ambition and insecurity. Christopher Moltisanti is like a great Shakespeare character and beautifully realised by Michael Imperioli.
@Sharks Well, my terminology may be slightly incorrect but Christopher definitely has an access to and an appetite for terrifying, murderous violence which very often is part of a psychopathic personality type. And how exactly was he displaying his 'sensitivity' when he was beating the crap out of his sweet, supportive, kind girlfriend in plenty of episodes? Chris is a great character, sure; but he's not sensitive about anyone but himself and his weird, increasingly twisted relationship with Tony. For the most part, it's all about him.
Michael Imperioli is the complete opposite in real life. That's how good of an actor he is. And even though Chris does despicable things at times for some messed up reason he is still one of the stronger characters... even likeable at times.
@HOTD108_ No, I think they're saying that Micheal is the opposite in that he's eloquent and sophisticated in contrast to how Chris is violent, crass and hot-headed. Not the likability part.
His character was a true basket case to be sure, but they wrote some of the best lines for him. And Michael did a fine job portraying him. I couldn't think of another actor playing this character.
It's crazy how well they developed his arc over the entire series. Junkie scumbag, tormented addict, disillusioned gangster, funny guy, the only one who was ever really honest to Tony's face for the most part. They gave him a lot of things to be sympathetic about but it all kind of goes out the window when you see him choking and beating the shit out of his girlfriend over and over. Still jarring to me even after watching the whole series several times. Brutal af. A great and complex character played to perfection by Mr. Imperioli.
Sil and Tony's family were pretty honest to him too. But Sil was more careful than Christopha, obviously, because Sil knows his temper very well and is more calm by nature too
And that's why Sopranos is the greatest - there's no moral lecturing here - just complex characters. And that's the thing - men that beat their women aren't 100% bad - they're complex - as all humans are.
In that instant, he knew she was going to have to die, and he was infuriated at her for making the decisions that led to that final dissolution of their relationship. In this there was no going back, no forgive and forget. She was going to have to go away for ever, and to him it was her fault for doing this to him.
@@Str8Bidness I just noticed he hits Adrianna with a closed fist in that scene, that is the first time I have seen his hand completely closed out of all the times he hits her.

I just commented something similar very sad now I wonder if the actor who played Chrissy or any of them made the connection or if he felt bad he's still missed till this day
Jon Kline I'll ad to the eulogizing of Gandolfini. Jim was very generous to the cast & crew. He hired a sushi chef to cater a fresh spread on set, once a week usually Fridays, - out of his own pocket. Jim bought high-end gifts for the producers after the series wrapped. Even the assistant directors + their regular on-staff & set PAs were given quality wrap gifts. James Gandofini was a great guy.
+Shawn Lucas Agreed. I actually really liked his appearance on Sesame Street. It's really sweet, and an amazing contrast to ultimate tough-guy Tony Soprano. It'll be one of the few things his little girl will be able to watch him in while she's still small.

I feel Christopher's marksmanship doesn't get enough credit. Dude is a fucking machine and would've won the war against New York himself if he lived.
Be an army of one...
I recommend Christopher takes 2x 10mg Valium every 15 minutes.
He needs it
Ouuhhh
Valium? More like Ativan every 3 hours while awake.
“In my thoughts I use the technique of positive visualization”
Brilliantly played character.
Chris moltisanti was officially the biggest bad ass in the Sopranos
Hah! What about Adriana's dog, crawling under him for warmth?
one of the best lines in the show
that was aweful
Did it bark?
Nooooo
Whatever happened there..
"You're gonna have a heartattack by the time you're 50"
Dies of a heartattack at 51. I know..I know we had this talk, but shit. Such a talent and great man.
Don't get it confused
So crazy
Christopher is my favorite character on the show and in TV history. He's so entertaining. I love him and the show.
he is one of the most talented actors of all time...
*”I di-dent!”*
Out of all the golden moments in this clip please look at Paulie’s expression at 5:05. I just noticed it. He looks SO offended 🤣
9:48 might be the best "ooooohhhhh" of the whole series other than when the little kid told Bobby as Santa "fuck you" and like 30 people said it at once lmao
I love how whenever Christopher shows some depth and empathy, he invariably turns around and acts like a total piece of shit, sometimes in the same scene.
But i guess that's everyone on this show😄
The show was supposed to be a drama but it's actually peak black comedy, given how well it's written & how all their hypocrisies are on display at all times.
the whole ‘Visiting Day’ recording session scene was HILARIOUS 😭 Chrissy tryna force the lead man to take drugs, the sucking a power line comment lmaooo, threatening & smacking him wit the guitar. Brilliant
"You know how fast I can run" 🤣🤣
@ 5:13 Christopher tell Tony, he's gonna have a heart attack by the time he's 50.
James Gandolfini died of a heart attack at 51.
Wow. The writers predicted his death.
+Marshall Street Well he was Obese so if you had to guess you would probably guess that.
+Marshall Street I mean it's pretty crazy watching James gain weight as the show went on. If you look at him from season 1 to season 6 he's like double in size
I just commented something similar very sad now I wonder if the actor who played Chrissy or any of them made the connection or if he felt bad he's still missed till this day
Marshall Street so did Vito!
He is a great actor! I always enjoy watching and being with soprano team members for their amazing ability to act and play their role. 👍😊
If Gandolfini could barely handle “hitting” women in the show I can hardly imagen how Michael Imperioli felt playing Christopher.
You ever seen True Romance?
@@Dave_Dot_Executable Boom!
imagen
Well as that hippie communist douche used to sing- It’s easy if you try
Christopher will always be my favorite character.. dude was a gangster through and through!!
@Daniel Treadwell what?
Christopher was a poor timid bar boy in goodfellas and Tommy(Joe Pesce) got shot in the foot only a wk later he was in a hole. Literally.
Correction Pesce put Christopher in the hole.
Christopher was a fucking screw up who thought he was worth more than he actually was.
You fucking WHOAH
It's horrible how Christopher treats Adriana even after how loyal and loving she is to him.
Like father like son
Hard to watch for sure!
@@Stevesautopartsify😅
She was gonna fuck tony she’s a skank
Fr😂like Bro Just fucking beats the shit outta Her for even breathing
Great compilation! Thanks much!
Great edit!
Amazing how this show can make you feel disgust and sympathy at the same time for these characters
christopher is probably my favorite from the sopranos :)
You're gonna have a heart attack by the time you're 50. And James did. Chase predicted the future. What a shame.
"in my thoughts I use the technique of positive visualization" idk why 😂😂😂 but that always made me chuckle
Great editing job! Chris was a very good character and I'm glad Spider got to play him
he had a few more lines than spider...lol.
Maybe that's because he didn't stutter?
It happens
No, I thought you said I'm alright, Spider. I AM ALRIGHT!
Hey Skull Duggery - Why don't you go fuck yourself
In what way ;)
I felt so bad for Adrianna (but, for nobody else). But, the acting was so compelling. Wow, just so believable, like we're right there.
Simp syndrome
Woman does terrible things, OMG POOR DOLL! Man does terrible things, HE DESERVES TO GO TO HELL
Imagine Tony dying from a heart attack-and Chris taking over? Chris was even more of a psychopath
Yeah it would of been a fantastic spin off if it could of ever happened.
A hot GF who can't get pregnant isn't damaged goods,it's a gift from God.
@ markyncole
What about after her asshole rots out of her?
Right , raw sex 24/7
@@jimmiizzy6283 her ass definitely smells like mortadella and Manhattan Special.
Amen to that.
markyncole hahahahaha!
Chris is the fans favorite, gotta love him
Michael Imperioli("Chrissie") has some great acting skills. Him crying to "T" about Adrianna ratting to the feds was great and convincing. Not his first rodeo. You know a person is a good actor when you lose yourself in their character and forget that its just a charade after all.
Christopher had the most consistent best lines through the entire series.
Christopher’s reply at 0:09 is my favorite line in this series.
damn Adriana got it in this montage
50 % of the clip was him beating on Adrianna ffs xD
pesoff some went down got knocked out and even died from less punches
*1 %
Hes the man.
Void Clincher he’s not “ the man”. Only a weak man would react that way, and only a weak man like you would approve of that shit.
5% Pussy
He’s an unbelievable actor.
I love Ade's hair throughout the series.
Christopher was the best out of all them
Kari Morgan always carried through with what he said or who he threatened that's what I liked about him
Kari Morgan facts say somehow only Paulie survived.
The greatest intervention ever.
Went from "We're not attacking you" to kicking the shit out of him in two minutes flat.
One of my top 3 absolute favorite characters on Sopranos...
That says shit about me, I hated it that he used to beat Adrianna,
***** All the characters killed and murdered people. Why do you only care about the women? Says a lot about you lol.
+Greatest1979 Who are your other two?
Gotta be Paulie for the idiocy of his lines (he was an interior decorator). And also Ralph for the utter ruthless behaviour.
