Richie was 100% in the right in terms of the mafia underworld. Beansie used Richie money to open his 🍕 stores. As soon as Richie got out, Beansie should’ve given Richie some money on a weekly business but instead he kicks up to Tony. The thing about season 2 is that Tony deliberately blocks Richie from gaining any power in the family. Jackie Sr was so well beloved that Tony couldn’t allow another Aprile ascend to power while he was street boss. Richie’s setback was not able to convince the Barrese crew to back him, which is the largest in the family. Of course Larry wouldn’t turn on Tony but Richie didn’t know that.
This show was a good indicator why dealing with organized crime will always end badly… even if not with the one you deal with, someone else will try and squeeze you

The actor that played Richie did a better job of playing a total slimeball, sneek, snake in the grass than anyone I have ever seen. Alot of it has to do with the fact that he looks exactly like the kind of POS he played in the show.
