Ex has started seeing someone else straight after. And last time we saw eachother she kissed me whilst she was seeing him. And then over text told me to not message her and that she’ll see me when I’m good but me messaging her is setting me back.

Hey Clay , me and my ex girlfriend broke up like 2 years ago after the breakup I would text her she respond but months later she had got a boyfriend but I still would hit her up she would respond but take forever now we would get on the phone but I don’t know what it mean is it because I keep texting her or because she miss me
I broke it off in the heat of the moment. I felt neglected, I was angry and literally had a fever. I was sick, so I wasn’t thinking straight. I called her out about a ton of issues, she felt attacked and said: “why don’t you just break up with me?” . To which I said “ok, bye”. I regretted it instantly. Now, almost a month, she’s been ignoring me. She answered a couple of times but she was VERY resistant. Saying no, i don’t wanna fix this and such. I tried not messaging her for a couple of days, but now I’m really scared that she just might move on because I’m waiting here twiddling my fingers.

Hey coach. My wife broke up with me about a month ago. We live for 7 years and we have a beautiful daughter. She dumped me and its all my fault i cheated and take her for granted. I didnt spend time with her and didnt show her appreciation. I take care of our daughter every weekends. She told me she still loves me and already forgive me but shes still not ready yet she said she needs time for herself. And she wanna make sure i already change completely before we get back together. I only contact her when if its for our daughter, i stop everyday calls and messages cause sometimes she answers sometimes not. My ex is in a rebound currently but recently started texting me 2. Weeks ago. The rebound is at the 3 Month mark. But her dad passed away a month after breaking up with me and she came to me for emotional support because I understood her, but recently she has been a bit more closed off with a guard up. Welp, so going into No Contact got my ex upset and mad. I've got blocked on practically every social media so what do i do...
The problem with No Contact is that everyone on the internet . tells you that you just need to use No Contact in every conceivable situation. It almost borders on superstition. The truth is that No Contact is not the answer 100% of the time. What you need to pay attention to is where your ex is at emotionally and what you can do to allow your ex to feel good emotionally about interacting with you.

Instead of focusing on the label, focus on the building positive connection. One way or another, things will develop from friendship. How it will grow further in the future will depend on different factors like how you bring your self in the dynamics and on your consistency of showing the authentic changes that you have made.

Hi IanKurcina , I think it is best to ask her clearly about your current dynamics. In that way, you are both clear if you need space to allow yourselves to heal or if it is okay to communicate from time to time. Every person that goes through a breakup will always have a hard time emotionally. I understand that you may want to help her feel at ease after the breakup but you also have to let her heal on her own. All the best.

Hi Yamada, it sounds like your ex's wall of reactance is still up. It is best to give your ex the needed space at this point as to forcing someone to do something that they are not ready yet. There are a lot of reasons why your ex may ignore a text. Sometimes it has to do with your ex's emotional state. Sometimes it has to do with the way that you contact your ex while texting them. Sometimes No Contact is a good response. Other times, it isn't the best approach if you're trying to create a new relationship with them. Best of luck.

Clay Andrews I was dating someone for couple months she then decided she wasn’t sure if she wants to date right now, she’s not sure if it’s because of her being single so long or what, I told her I was gonna live the single life while she thinks about it, I told her I’d give her space and I’ll be doing my thing because I know what I want and deserve. She still looks at my Snapchat and vice versa. It’s been over a week and she still has our photos on Facebook and social media, I took mine down and untagged them as a means to distance myself from her. I’m not sure what to do if I should just do what I say I was gonna do and see what happens! I’m not sure if the break up was me, her or both. I can ask her how’s her day was she’d say it was good, I did apologize for my wrongdoing on how I took things.
