Truly one of the prettiest city in the world and the people are lovley!
Every city in China is well maintained and green like that.
One of the beat way to enjoy west lake is to take shared bike and ride all the way to the other side (mountain side) of west lake. U will go through small lane in the forest, see some stream, can stop in middle to enjoy lunch and tea from a remotely located restaurant. U can end ur trip to this famous bamboo park. After visiting that bamboo park, can take bus back to center of city ( or ride bike on this quiet long jing road. ) it's super super nice

When I lived in Hangzhou (2003-2005), a lot of the buildings and areas you showed didn't even exist. I remember going back to visit a friend a short time before I returned to the states (2018) and I almost didn't know where I was going! I mostly stayed around the West Lake area and the downtown area, but maybe one day I can go back and see more of the city again.
I spent a year in Hangzhou! Such a beautiful place ❤

When my mother was a child, she didn't have enough to eat. At that time, China was very backward. But my hometown, under my witness, the tall buildings occupied my hometown little by little.
My now Wife (GF at that time) and I walked the entire lake.

It’s safe to go. But if coming from abroad you still need 7 days quarantine + 3 days home monitoring. So still a little troublesome

肯定沒有去過中國的四五綫城市或偏遠山區農村,破舊骯髒混亂程度跟印度比還是要好一點,但都是很接近.中國仍未發展的地方約佔一半,這些地方老外未有聽過當然亦未有去過.中國低下層的居住還境真是很差,跟香港差不多,不應為這些影片產生民族自豪感因為確實不能反映中國整體發展狀況. 中國要像日本那樣最少還要幾十年,科技已比日本強是事實,但人民生活水平及文明程度的改善遠比科技發展落后. 不喜歡聽也要說.
