I love Koyoharu Gotoge's artstyle, I find the Traditional Japanese aesthetic really pretty, and it just really fits with Kny and its Taisho era setting. Although sometimes I find the colors to be a little saturated (maybe bc their using copic markers) The fact that Gotoge isn't afraid to mix with patterns and different colors schemes is what gives their characters such a unique and playful charm. (like I didnt know how pink and green can look so nice together!) It inspired me a lot with my own art too and what also encouraged me to develop a more detailed and colorful artstyle.
I discovered your channel today thanks to your video about Sui Ishida, which was great by the way, and I just want to say that your content is awesome and not only entertaining, but also very helpful, espicially since I'm an aspiring artist. Thank you for these videos.
I really enjoy your artist analysis videos, could you possibly analyze Tsutomu Nihei's art? It would be very interesting to see your take on how his art has evolved from BLAME! to APOSIMZ.
Your video and the comments I read bring me happiness I love that many people here have noticed how Demon Slayer's art style is very reminiscent of traditional Japanese art! It fits the story very well!!
I read the first 2 manga and ordered the box set, coming before Thanksgiving. Haven't watched the anime because I want to leave some creativity to reading the manga, I am excited!
No it’s not they’re gender is kept anonymous by the author themselves even Koyoharu Gotoge itself is just a pen name That being said the kanji characters in Koyoharu Gotoge's name are commonly used for male names traditionally, the kanji characters 鬼 (ki) and 頭 (atama) are more commonly associated with male names in Japanese. 鬼 (ki) means "demon" or "ogre," which can connote strength or power, often traits associated with male figures in folklore and mythology. 頭 (atama) means "head," which is a neutral term but is often used in masculine contexts, such as leadership or authority Gotoge or 葛葉 don’t have a specific gender association though So while it has male implied characters it seems to also lean towards neutral associations All of this to say that it’s best not to jump the gun on wether they’re female or male especially since the author does not seem
What a great video! I loved the analysis. There really isn't any other video like this on TH-cam at the moment. I do wish you went a little more in-depth with the art though, there's a lot of other things that could be talked about but oh well. By the way, your probably already know this but the title and thumbnail format of your videos isn't very SEO-optimized. Veritasium has made 2 really good videos about "clickbait", I recommend checking them out. I really hope that your videos get the attention they deserve! Best of luck, mate :D
The manga art for the most part is decent, I like the stylized way she draws characters and demons, but sometimes the line work looks blotchy and the choreography is confusing, ufotable's did a really good job polishing and bringing out the true potential of the art style
funny thing (actually not funny), demon slayer was supposed to be way more dark (ironic), so the editor told him directly that he should change things up to make it more ''breath-able '' for the readers
Hehe best/popular series have one thing in common and that's Tite Kubo bleach. JJK, demon slayer,Black Clover, Assassination Classroom and more need I go on
I think the Moe art style denies the moody tone it was going for. At times they kinda look like rainbowy midgets. The scale of the characters sizes are kinda generic.
Looking into the comments, I am quite surprised I am the only one who does not like it. And as someone who came from the anime was absolutely disappointed of how dull it looks.
In my opimion this manga sucks both artwise and storywise comodo you do a video about the artistic evolution for a manga that really deserves it: baki the grappler

Her artstyle is so good it reminds me of ancint Japanese art traditional one of the best in terms of story telling

Pink is basically a lighter shade of red and red's opposite color is green so that why it looks so good!
