I heard/read somewhere (can’t remember where) if you take the length of the finished blanket size and minus the width from it, that gives the length you do your chain for rectangle blankets and apparently it grows in proportion (never tried it myself though) 🤷♀️
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am working on the square and had the bright idea to make two rectangle ones and crochet them together, then put some foam insert inside to make a dog bed for my dog. I didn't know how to make that work and started looking for some video tutorials. I could only find moss stitch rectangles, though.....and then there was yours! So glad I found it! Thank you so much!
Thank you very much! I am very happy to hear that! I love traditional moss stitch as well, so I thought why not to combine it with mosaic crochet technique ❤️❤️❤️
@@BebaBlanket I really want to learn mosaic crochet. Your work is so beautiful and I'm nervous about trying it. Wheres a good place to start something simple? You truly are a Master Artist.
Wow do you work fast. So happy to see the rectangular version! Didn’t expect to see it so soon. Looks amazing with the Ferris wheel yarn. Thanks for all you do ❤❤❤
Yes I’m finally understanding and doing the rectangle with the foundation chain Thank you I just don’t like the way the stitches get pulled out of shape
Thank you for all your help Daiga I am managing the square pattern so it must be the foundation chain and rectangle. I will keep practicing and come back to it later. Appreciate all the help Sharon
Always happy to help! After you learn the long tail foundation chain, you will find it very easy! I start all my overlay mosaic crochet patterns this way now (unless it's center-out square) ❤️❤️❤️
I love this pattern, thank you. As I am a beginner in the world of mosaic crochet, would this be considered beyond me? I have done the long tail foundation chain but have so much difficulty with the first round getting my hook under the loop. Is there a special technique you recommend?
Thank you very much! If you struggle with a long tail foundation chain, you can start with a simple chain. I replied to one of the comments on how to work in this case. There is a square version as well, which starts with a magic ring ❤️❤️❤️
Are you struggling with a long tail foundation chain? You can start with a simple chain instead. If you look through the comments, you will find more details ❤️❤️❤️
@@BebaBlanket I’m struggling with that and also the long of my rectangle will work out one side and the next side won’t and there will be gaps/holes in my work and I won’t know where to put my next stitch. I will try again in the future and if I can do a normal chain will be easier for me. Thank for helping.
yes. But then you have to work 2 rounds of back loop single crochet stitches with corners 1sc, ch1, 1sc before you can start working fldc. And your center will look differently (as it will be 2 rounds of all blsc). Hope that helps ❤️❤️❤️
Sorry, only a video tutorial. The pattern is really very easy. If you work 2-3 rounds, then you will be able to work it further without watching a video tutorial ❤️❤️❤️
Its because people in youtube are not using basic chrochet instructions they dont how to even read an etsy pattern I can guarantee you that and its annoying to see people calling a stitch something thats its not like for example the v stitch will always will be a v stitch a 2 dc together will always be just that but noone is calling the stitches right all a moss stitch is. is a single chrochet. worked in every chain spaces you need to change 1 after each sc made tho thats all a moss stitch really is go order you a book. it will be better for your learning to help with any confusion
Sorry, l am confused... are you addressing this to me? Did l name it moss stitch or solid mosaic moss? It's my interpretation of moss stitch integrated into mosaic crochet technique.
Different people have different words for the same thing. No amount of policing will ever change that. If you enjoy inneffective policing of other people’s language, by all means continue. I hate that water is wet and I tell everyone about it. 🤭
Love it! Thank you for your tutorial.

Yes, that's correct! Just as l said, but in a different way ❤️❤️❤️
Loving this pattern! It’s great to take when I’m visiting friends or just don’t feel like concentrating too much. Many thanks 🥰🥰

Yay! My pile of unfinished projects just sighed. 😂 I’m excited to start this design soon.
My pile can hardly breathe from its weight 😂🤣😂
Moss/linen stitch is my favorite. Your mosaic technique to make a rectangle is beautiful.
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I love your mosaic crochet square or rectagle, no tails no endings😀, thank you!

Happy to hear you got it! As for dc pulling the loops, try to pull yarn down, not up, so it does not stretch the loop
@@BebaBlanket thank you

Grazie Daiga per questo bellissimo tutorial ❤È molto bello anche il filato. Peccato che in Italia non ci sono rivenditori
Thank you very much! Happy you like it! You can choose any yarn with longer color changes you like! You can even use scrap yarn. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi on your original ferris wheel blanket can you tell me how many rolls you used please. Thanks.
For a baby blanket, you would need about 6-7 cakes ❤️❤️❤️
Is there written instructions for this project. I don't always have internet at the cottage. I think this would be a great travel project.

Can you use 2 colors?
You can. But l don't like it in two colors, unless you work 2 rounds in one color, then you change
How do I cast on ?
Video tutorial includes this ❤️❤️❤️
@@BebaBlanket thank you also am I better off starting with 7 chain or a bigger number as I have been practising with 7 chains
they front loops thats you are saying are called front or back posts stitches in basic chrochet
You are wrong and confusing others. Front post stitches are worked around the post, not into front loop.
Not even 4 minutes in and already TIL the long tail foundation chain.
Sorry, l am not sure if it's a question or something else 🤷
@@BebaBlanket Oh, it's a compliment.
I had not yet watched 4 minutes of your video and "Today I Learned" (TIL) how to do a long tail foundation chain.
