Yes, Its always good to see when the women have the courage to get more naked. Its quite scary how gore and mass violence is only rated PG or R in USA, but love making is X
Funny thing is in that episode when Monica (Courtney Cox) wanted her hair cut like Demi Moore from Ghost, at the end, Julie also asked Phoebe that she wanted her hair to be cut like Andie MacDowell (Margaret Qualley's mom).
That's ture and a funny coincidence, but Monica didn't want her hair like Demi Moore from Ghost, (Phoebe stil could have turned her haircute into that style, because of the length of it) But of Demi Moore in general and lists a few films as examples of who she is. th-cam.com/video/DDuGrd705Sg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wW5fTsFX90d9g5TT

It's interesting watching Demi and Margaret interview side by side. The level and type of media training is vastly different. I find it intriguing in the best way.
Such a wild ride! Demi deserves an Oscar! I was revolted by this movie and it’s stayed with me like no other film before. Astounding. Revelatory. Disgusting. Confounding. Exhilarating. Chaotic. Remarkable. Utterly brilliant.
Im a horror movie fan. Ive seen it all and i can honestly say...what the actual fck?! I cant recall a movie that made me watch with a dropped jaw. I wish someone took a photo of my face while watching the final act. Im sure it was the look of utter disturbance. Congrats to everyone involved. I didnt think i could be shocked and suprised.
No thank you to this host for ending with "I'm sure this will be a cult classic." Don't let the hard work that went into this already be given "cult classic" status. No! This was an incredible achievement that needs to be seen and given some real credit before we kick it out of the mainstream. Go see this in the theater. Take everyone.
I had the same response, but I think she used it to mean the movie has staying power as a genre film (which, granted, is actually a rare phenomenon). 'Cult classic' in the horror fandom at large (among other genres) really is a good thing, beyond whether it's insulting in this particular context
Margaret Qualley got my attention in 'The Nice Guy', and stole every scene in 'One Upon a Time in Hollywood'. With 'The Substance', she is rocketing to Superstardom.
@@Summon256 I see that comparison, especially with both of them when they were younger. I had a crush on Brooke when I was a kid (though she was way older than me by that point), same with Jennifer but my Jennifer crush has persisted completely.
After turning 30 this year, ive come to understand that We never get Old mentally after the age of 25, Only our Body gets old with age. I like to think i am my younger 25 year old self in my mind but my outer shell is only aging. Now when i look at someone older i think of them as their 25 yr old self in a older shell. We never really are Old mentally. So the Saying " Act your age" is really false because i'll forever act like my 25 year old self! I now can see why people are obsessed with looking young, why we wish there's a fountain of youth, why we have plastic surgery. Because we want our outer shell match who we are on the inside. Not because we want to live forever but for others to still treat us like our 25 year old self, and not based on how our outer shell looks. This movie is so good that makes you feel so uncomfortable still you watch. OMFG never watched this kind of movie. Everyone worked incredibly hard!! Wow
It was certainly a good film :) I am not sure if it stays consistent, though, given Demi's character often seems surprised by what the other self did (which beats the point of sacrificing yourself for the other to exist).
Demi isn't the one, think of Sam Jackson when he got mistaken for Laurence Fishburne, while getting interviewed. Moreover, I saw the Substance and Demi & Margaret's performances really amazed me.
just watched the film so now trawling TH-cam for any more information as it was amazing. the reporter is awful. asks pointless questions. acts wayyy too friendly when the stars are clearly not interested. doesn't seem to get the point of the film just that it was gory and that its about an actress in Hollywood. then finally, brings up demure. embarrassing
Movie critiques individualism and consequences of it. Living YOLO is what ages you, not taking long term consequences into account. It critiques modern values. It’s also a critique of shallow interpretations of feminism, where goal is enjoyment and hedonism. Women also do it to themselves and can’t let go of their false ideas.
