    This reminds me so much of my country Argentina. Most of us are sons, daughters and grand and great grand daughters and sons of Italians. Our conversations are just like that, very heated and loud but at the same time very respectful of one another. My husband (who is American) always thinks I'm fighting when I talked to my friends because of our volume and mannerisms LOL.

    Love the way I could catch a true Naple’s accent when you were speaking... you are getting the inclination, love it. Thank you for portraying so gracefully and beautifully my country, Italians don’t do it enough and I am so so grateful that an artist like you is celebrating life through the beauty of Italy, thank you

    This was so beautiful. Many of us are guilty of this type of intolerance, myself included lately. The past few years I’ve grown more and more accustomed to seeing the other side as the “enemy”, and it has started to affect friendships and relationships. Seeing these two men remain friends even though one of their most fundamental beliefs are completely different truly is eye-opening and inspiring. Just what I needed this morning. You always manage to hit the nail on the head - thank you again, Kylie! 🌻

    If these two Italian men think that they are isolated from others, they should live in the United States. I don’t even know who my apartment neighbors are. That is sad. No one talks to each other. Perhaps it’s time I leave the United States and move to Italy were people actually talk to each other!

    • @mimmiblu6138
      @mimmiblu6138 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When we were in lockdown we even wrote posters all over Italy and hanged them on our balconies so that we could see that our neighbours still wanted to communicate with us and we would all get through this stupid pandemic together. When I ived abroad I really missed this kind of "connectivity".

    • @documentaryfilms2382
      @documentaryfilms2382 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They meant the villages are isolated so the people interact more because they are isolated together. It's more about tolerance of each other and not being a separatist and putting up walls that divide yourself from others. Religious walls, political walls, racial walls, etc. America is filled with people who hold to strongly to their ideologies that's where the intolerance comes from. Identity politics is a mental illness that many western countries suffer from. It's a like a kid with a toy, if you take the toy away from the kid they cry because they have identified with it. We're not kids but we act like kids by holding on to ideologies and letting them define every aspect of our lives, we then became a slave to our own opinions. It's time to put down the toy and live a good life by being a little more accepting of others differences and being good to people.

    What I love about this is 2 people with very different views on something as antagonising as religion, remain excellent friends. That would not be possible in many societies. I would love to have heated debates in a beautiful location.

    I love this, It's so true - being able to disagree with certain concepts/opinions that others have but still love one another. If we only surrounded ourselves with people who agreed with us and fit into our ideal narrative life becomes boring and an echo chamber. We need a good challenge every now and then ;)

    Beautiful. "Debate without derision." I miss the art of a good conversation, which I used to enjoy over a good meal and good music. It seems so lost nowadays, often a casualty of divisive politics. But it can be found again, if we look for it, and are willing to talk without judging others. I am a Christian. I believe the Bible and love Christ with all of my heart. I respect these men and find their views very intriguing. It troubles me deeply when I see people misuse my faith to condemn and judge others instead of living as examples of the faith and being willing to listen to people and understand their points of view.

    • @4600norm
      @4600norm 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well said. It bears repeating that Christ always lead with love and kindness; not anger, judgement, and condemnation. He commanded His followers to do the same.

    Luigi is closer to the truth as the other guy is mainly taking the viewpoint of what humanity has been fed over thousands of years! Everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is a lesson here of tolerance for other view points as you can look at it as if we are all on different stages of our personal journeys. I find it fascinating!I have come to understand from a young age that there is absolute order and reason for every thing in life from micro to macro! What a riveting conversation in one of the most stunning places on earth. Having Italian heritage makes me feels so inspired by your channel! I cant afford to go away on holiday but Kylie your videos make me feel as if I have been away on a weekend to the Amalfi coast with all the wonderful things that holiday life entails including meeting other interesting humans! These two beach side philosophers are a treasure. One of my favorite things to do is strike up conversation with strangers whether on the sidewalk or waiting in line at the grocery store. I totally agree with your thought that if you present yourself in an open and friendly way, you give off a vibe that others (not all, but many) pick up on. Once that happens, the guard comes down and you see the real person. One gets a real "high" from these little interactions. They are all around you if you just welcome them.

    I have to say I found this ability to have two different views on God in our world and science in the world and dictating how to only see truth in one singular direction, with nor compromises to each part has a part in who we are. Their interaction, I find is found more common in European countries. I say this because I have viewed this very practice and existence within my family in France and it was impressionable for me, coming form the US. It was good for me to have this experience, it opened my eyes, understanding and awareness that debating things should allow use to speak as we feel but we do not know everything and others have good points to make, and so we are made, more aware of the flavors of life, feelings and experiences we all have had, to form this complex unit we are. Yet with time we have more opportunity to confirm or deny as information changes and we re-sift the earthly knowledge but our faith in God has sustained us over and over again throughout the lengthy times of recorded history. Well I am just one person in conversation and there are billions with thoughts as well.

    Hello Kylie! Great content thank you for sharing. I have a suggestion to make: maybe sometimes it would be better to let a dialogue flow instead of interrupting to translate, because in this instance I felt like they really wanted to go for it with the conversation but they kept being cut off. Just food for thought, it's your channel you can curate it however you want of course! xxx

    Kylie, I honestly can say I aspire to be someone like you. Despite your insecurities or disappointments you may face, you've made it your mission to pursue a job that I and all your subscribers can see makes you content and happy. Not a superficial bullshit Los Angeles influencer kind of way, but a storytelling, purposeful meaningful career that makes you who you are and most importantly happy. I have legit binged all of your videos. I aspire to be like you one day. Travelling places that are of great value to you and your morals. You make the best of what you have, and honestly you being respectful, appreciative, and knowledgeable within the culture you've found depth and interest not only satisfies my entertainment buds, but after watching you I think I know what I want to do with my future. When I go on youtube, I watch heartless content but it's sole effect is nothing but getting the creator quick cash, which is disgusting consumerism at it's finest, yet leaves me unentertained. Thank you for being true and keeping your journey visually pleasing and making someone who could never see themselves living past teenage years, see past the small things, in life itself.Grazie di tutto, sei incredible! Mi ha aiutato più di quanto le parole possono esprimere...Inoltre, ho appena finito di guardare BABY e rispolverato il mio italiano!! Pregando per loro 🙏sperando di visitare presto -💓 💓 💓 💓 💓 Rene (P.Q) Would you mind telling me the song in the introduction?? It's so GOOD!!

    I just subscribed to this channel. Kylie you're doing fantastic job in editing, in showing the ups and downs of life, in introducing us to other culture, so vibrant and appreciative. Let's celebrate communication, discussions and let's grab as much as possible from older generation. There's so much to learn and experience that it's a shame to waste time for sadness or doubting in ourselves. Let's enjoy, practice, work and make love! I Love Italian attitude, it's a nation who works really hard, who's honest and knows how to enjoy each day on earth. They are so lucky with the location they were given I hope the sense of Dolce Vita will be kept and devour by ppl at least until I am alive. Grazie mille! Bacio from Warsaw, Poland.

    "It does not bother me if my neighbor believes in 1 God or a thousand gods what matters to me is the content of a man's character." - Thomas Jefferson.
    "If getting along with other people, understanding their point of view and loving them is too easy and simplistic, why don't we try the easy and simplistic way first"- Me always in every conversation. I am but a messenger you can choose to accept or reject my message that is up to you. It doesn't bother me if you reject it that's up to you. Your choice always. You're not going to ruin my day. We can continue on in the "spirit" of friendship. I learned long ago that I don't always have to be right.

    Fantastica conversazione ! Signori del genere li trovi ovunque in Italia e specialmente nei paesini dove si possono avere queste discussioni.
