2022 Jeep Renegade VS 2022 Ford Bronco Sport: Best MINI SUV Offroader?

- 👋 In todays comparison we take a look at two mini off-roaders! The 2022 Jeep Renegade and the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport! Both of these are small, boxy SUV's that offer some offroad capabilities and are also great daily drivers for a vehicle right around $30K!
The Jeep Renegade is not a hard core off-roader from Jeep like the Wrangler, but offers good ground clearance and several drive modes to handle off the pavement driving! The Jeep Renegade has a unique design to it and with the Trailhawk package, it provides this with all the red accents both on the exterior and interior! The interior of this Jeep Renegade Trailhawk has cloth seats with a neat design on the inserts and all the red accents in the front seat area! It would be cool to see more red accents for the backseat passengers though! For the size of this Jeep Renegade, it actually offers a good amount of interior storage which is really great to see and it can even tow! The 2022 Jeep Renegade is a pretty practical smaller size SUV that you can daily drive and even with the small turbo charged engine, it's pretty peppy and since it's light weight it can get up to speed just fine! This is a smooth driving vehicle and has plenty of features to make this a great daily without spending too much on technology you wouldn't want!
The Ford Bronco sport is the mini SUV compared to the Bronco! It's not as hard core and is based off of the Ford Escape! The rear seat passengers have plenty of headroom with the curve of the roof and can place their feet underneath the front seats to make it a comfortable back seat. The exterior styling is a great modern design from the original Bronco sport and I love how they kept it boxy and gave it an aggressive look for a smaller size SUV! If you want to set yourself apart from other vehicles in this class, this is the SUV to do it with! The interior has nice materials and all the information you need, the infotainment system is easy to use along with the rest of the center control stack. There is plenty of storage space and hidden pockets throughout with is a great use of the space! The engine in this model is the smaller one offered and I thought it had an adequate amount of power for the size of the vehicle, but of course you can opt for the larger engine if desired! Overall this is a great SUV to come from Ford and I love how it gives customers the option to get a rugged "off-roader" in this class.

Trailhawk owner here! That matte black vinyl piece on the hood is actually there for some function! It’s there so that when you’re on trails and it’s sunny out, you can see the end of your hood without glare from the sunlight. Of course, it just looks cool too. :)
Many underestimate the Trailhawk for sure! The way Jeep gets that trail rated badge is by taking their vehicles to MOAB and putting them to through their paces on a number of trails. If the Jeep can’t complete those trails, they don’t get the trail rated badge. Kind’ve a shame the bronco doesn’t have skid plates like the renegade does.
Yeah! A few vehicles Have done that, both for looks and some function!
I would say the Jeep is definitely more capable, but we’ve seen the Bronco sport on the trails and it does pretty good too!
I got the 2022 Jeep renegade trailhawk and so far it’s been great love my new car 👌🏼

I have a 2021 Renegade Trailhawk fully loaded and it has been great. I'm an avid mt biker and Kayaker. Thus vehicle has surprised me with its off roading capability. My parents have a badlands Bronco Sport and I've driven that as well. It's a nice vehicle but I rather have ny Trailhawk.

I have a 2018 Renegade, I have always found the storage lacking. I have issues getting all my groceries to fit.
For example, 2 bags reusable full of groceries, 2x packs of 18count water bottles, and laundry detergent. It was below the seats still, but everything falls out when you open the gate unless you have a net. Camping load out is about just as bad.
That really doesn’t seem like many items to put in the back, but it is a small vehicle.
Great video. I have a 2020 Renegade which was great in NYC for its compact size. Now I live in Colorado and debating switching it up to the Bronco. I just want to try something different. Almost everyone in the comments says Trailhawk though. Not sure what I’ll do. I like that the back window opens separately on the Bronco and I love how it looks. I’m torn!
Buy the Bronco, it's worth it, I have a 2.0 and it's a very good car

The Renegade TH small size really shines on the trails.
I had a renegade deserthawk and loved it, with one exception. It only came with the n/a tiger shark motor, which was not great. I would definitely buy another trail hawk renegade now that it has that turbo motor which put out more torque

I have the 1.3t and its great! Lots of low end torque… I’ve never gotten stuck off-road.
Oh I’m the opposite. I’d rather have the engine with less moving parts and less internal pressure of DI.
Renegade for me. But it’s a win win no matter which choice

i have the 2020jeep renegade latitude with goodies 2.5 l engine ,i tow my 17 ft crestliner boat no problem,lower gears in the 9spd auto helps a lot.,i do just off road grael and snow.it gets in and out of parking spots easy

The Jeep Cherokee is much bigger! That’s a full size suv and with the Cherokee L, you get a third row!
The Trailhawk Renegade does come with a full led headlight option in top trim level.

The Renegade is more accessible than the Bronco Sport. The Bronco Sport is only sold in the Americas, whereas the Renegade is sold in more markets like Europe or Australia.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed The Renegades are quite popular in Italy. It’s the fourth best selling vehicle in Italy and the best selling SUV in Italy. Maybe the fact that they’re mostly made in Italy could explain why they’re so popular there.

@@paulelliott682 Last year, Ford sold over 4000 Bronco Sports in Mexico. Jeep in the same year sold over 3000 Renegades in Mexico, so the Bronco Sport is more popular in Mexico than the Renegade.
