The Bronco sport costs too much!

I have the trailhawk desert hawk and love it. I live in the city, but spend my time in the mountains. For this reason alone, I love it. Easy to whip around in traffic, and completely capable offroad. Stay realistic about YOUR offroad skills, and this thing will take you places people tell you it can't. The inside has plenty of space, even though it looks tiny from the outside. Haven't driven the new bronco yet, so I can't compare, but with this being the first year the new bronco was released, and already seeing dumb mistakes on some of the designs (exposed lower control arm bolts, front bumper cam is blocked by stock bumper...) maybe next year I'll have a harder time backing my renegade over the bronco.

I wouldn't trade my Renegade Trailhawk for a Bronco. It's as capable as I need it to be off-pavement and I've had mine where people say I couldn't have, too. It trumps the Bronco Sport slightly for crawl ratio and breakover angle, and the new body-on-frame Bronco is just too big to fit on some of the trails I like to run.

Se this Bronco in my photo? Its a Big Bend 2dr manual. I just didn’t love it. Sold it and picked up a Deserthawk. Im not a crawler, just camping and kayaking via trails. I also live in the city. My Deserthawk has way more high end features. Its perfect for me.

@@socalrenegal9409 I actually started living in my jeep in September. My dog and I just travel the country. I took out the back seat bench and back, and built a platform bed that goes over the back of the passenger seat when it's laid down forward, but its in a henge so I can lift it and still use the passenger seat if I need too. Under the bed is my storage. This little Jeep has kicked ass. I camped in a marsh for 7 weeks, and didn't get stuck in the mud until the last week. And that was because I was weighed down with too much fire wood. Once I took the wood out and dug the tires out a little, it went. It also did me really good innthe Ozarks. Both in Arkansas and Missouri. Lots of nasty loose rock trails and lots and lots of muddy steep trails and roccky creek crossings. This thing will be even more awesome when it gets lifted. Wasn't going to invest in it and just wait to upgrade inna few years, but ill keep this thing until it blows up lol. Sorry for the rant, not much interaction the last few months lol

The angles are so good stock on the Renegade I'm telling you a 2-in lift and that thing would be a monster... Just a simple 2-inch level lift on my Cherokee Trailhawk made a tremendous difference in off-road performance 2 in doesn't sound like much but it drastically changes the angles... I actually did some pretty rigorous statistical analysis on 70 different off-road vehicles and I compared a Cherokee Trailhawk with a 2-in lift against the off-roading angles of 70 vehicles and found that with a 2 inch lift the Cherokee Trailhawk jumps from the 55th percentile to the 93rd percentile among almost all off road vehicles. The renegade.... I haven't done the analysis but I'm sure it would jump to the 95th percentile or beyond with a 2-in lift... You would never believe it... Lifted 2 in and it's probably never going to scrape no matter what you do on any normal trail anyway. Pick any line you want...

I picked up a 2020 trailhawk last year. It's a cool little unit. These things are AMAZING in the snow. My old pick ups didn't go through snow like the renegade can!

I got the exact model and Color on the 17th of July (2021). I must say I am quite impressed. Package and value ... yes I would go with the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. So far I am not missing my Jeep Liberty (with the 3.7 V6). I cannot wait until the next time I drive my Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. It helps me endure early morning starts for work. My 2015 Renegade Trailhawk has been trouble-free for 6 years and 73,000 miles. No squeaks or rattles. I'm one of the "few percenters" who is using such things off-pavement, too, and I haven't managed to break it yet. It's one of the best quail hunting and fly fishing cars I've ever owned. It gets 30 mpg or more on long highway stretches and it goes where many would presume it wouldn't in getting me to my quail hunting and fly fishing spots. And it still presents and works like new.

@@jerroldshelton9367 I got my sport also in 2015 and it’s been having so many issues since 2018. dealerships and other mechanics can’t figure out the exact cause. It’s turned off on me or wouldn’t start (thankfully usually when pulling out the driveway). Engine light turns on then after few days or weeks turns off. Makes noises. But on it’s good days i love it. I need to get a new car as I’ll be traveling to different states and can’t have those issues occurring. I completely see myself investing in another jeep renegade, this time a trail hawk. I feel I got a faulty jeep renegade when they first came out. I love everything about it except this problem I have for which the cause is unknown.

I just maxed out Renegade at $30K, a maxed out Bronco Sport is $40k. Ford isn't dealing because they can't make them fast enough. Local Jeep dealer is taking $5K off sticker. $15K is a lot of money, the Renegade is a heck of deal. I had a Wrangler and I just can't say what stopped me from getting a Renegade over the years it has been out.
