Absolutely...we have been building trucks and wheeling with our dad since we were kids...now I have 2 kids of my own and we are looking forward to adventures in the future!
And no comments? There is something wrong with this world. I really enjoyed this video. So the one Wrangler is a open differential? It has to be all Tire and suspension that is giving that machine the traction. Looking at the other videos in your channel I noticed you have different brands besides Jeep. I have owned three Jeeps and several Fords and Chevys. Nice to see you feature the other brands. They are just engines, gears, axles and tires in my eyes.
Thanks so much for the kinds words! Yes the YJ has open diffs currently and also the Steel Blue TJ had open diffs this trip (has not gotten a compressor to hook up his lockers) but more suspension flex and supple tires had him climbing almost everything too! We love all kinds of 4x4s and I could not agree more they are just mechanicals with different combinations of designs :) Look forward to sharing more of our fun times with yall!
It is a 8.5 inch BDS Long arm...we chose this because of the true 4 link design...most kits go with radius arm style which puts all the pressure on one arm so if it breaks you are done...they also have a 6.5 inch and a 4.5 inch long arm also! Rides fantastic and as you can see TONS of flex
Yes they ride awesome...you would actually be surprised how stable it is even before with the narrow axles....the unibody is so light a lot of the weight is down low...and the XJ with 37s and a 8.5 inch lift sits about the same height as a TJ with a 4 inch lift and 35s :)
That poor yj. Zero flex in the damn thing. Tires start spinning even even if theres a pothole. Ive owned 2 yj's and unfortuantly thats why i no longer have them. Too hard to get any flex out of them at all. Stock 4runners have more suspension travel than yj's do with a 6 inch lift.
the first video is why we use driver and passenger instead of left and right
haha yes we are evolving in our technique :P
Great video! My son is 15 having him out wheeling with me is awesome! Looks like you guys are enjoying the same thing!!

17 spotters. "I'm a professional" every one shut up and just hit the throttle

what is the lift on this xj? I want to build one of mine to something similar,

nice, i like the ride of 4.5" lifts, because it seems like any higher would be too top heavy, but i guess with the wider axles it would be ok,

Yep gonna need a lot of fine tuning and needs lockers over anything else...YJs cannot get away with no lockers at all 👍🏻
