Haha yep...I should have told them where to go before I started filming...finally got them there though!!! Better more spotting than needed than none at all for sure 👌🏻
Hahah well the previous 2 jeeps crawled that ledge so we gave it a try but he had to take a different route around the ledge that the rest of us didn’t take 👍🏻
@@rockquestoff-road2839 Definitely takes some skill in that type of terrain. I came across the video because I'm trying to get an idea of how the 2.5L wrangler stacks up. I've had a few jeeps, but all 4.0L and just haven't been sure about the 2.5 4cyl. This makes me feel a bit better!
Definitely! It all comes down to gearing...a 4.0 or 2.5 with tall gears and a 4 speed will struggle on everything...but a 2.5 with 5.38 gears and a 4:1 rubi tcase going for it would crawl like a dream

Awesome videos. How are you liking your Rubicon Express lift, and how is it on really rough roads? I have a 91' YJ i am looking for a kit for. Also, what shackles are installed as well? Thanks!
My friend is who owns this jeep...he removed the track bars front and rear. The jeep drives straight and true on the highway 75-80 mph...stable no problem...rides well around town and the county roads...he was frustrated a bit with the rear being a bit stiff...so what we did was take the bottom shortest leaf out of the rear springs and then installed the shackles that are around 1/2 inch longer so it sit level and the rear springs softened up quite a bit and there is a lot more flex....ride is noticeably better too...he does not run a top...so if you have a hard top that could turn out different for you...be sure when you install the kit to only hand tighten the leaf spring bolts and shackle bolts when its on the jacks...get the tires on adn drop it on the ground and roll it down the driveway or road for a few hundred feet and hit some bumps...then torque all the bolts...harsh ride is usually from over torquing the bolts or torqueing the bolts on the shackles in the air before the springs are compressed...also run around 24-28 psi in your 33s...experiment with the tire pressure because too much pressure will kill your ride good luck!!!!
I believe these are the shackles we got...I would call some people and confirm of course. www.extremeterrain.com/more-front-or-rear-boomerang-lubeable-shackles-8795-yj.html
3 people yelling what direction to go, that would drive me nuts
Haha yep...I should have told them where to go before I started filming...finally got them there though!!! Better more spotting than needed than none at all for sure 👌🏻
One spotter good lord that was stressful lol
thank you.
I think the driver needed more spotters
Hahah
Anyone else facepalm at how long it took them to figure out the correct line??
Hahah well the previous 2 jeeps crawled that ledge so we gave it a try but he had to take a different route around the ledge that the rest of us didn’t take 👍🏻
Awesome to watch! Love jeeps that look stock but still have every drive train upgrade you need
Me too! My friend loves his jeep and how it looks so lowkey!
pretty good considering the horrible tires and cacophony of shouted instructions.
Yes it was!!! That clay is slippery that time of year
6 lug? Are you running an Isuzu Dana 44 rear?
Yes he is! It fits like factory. Amazing
@@rockquestoff-road2839 I miss that rear on the rodeo I had. Would be looking for the same swap on my YJ if I was willing to give up my wheels.
When you say the engine and transmission are swapped does that mean a different set up was in the Jeep previously? If so what
It had the 4.2 liter inline six with a carburetor and the Peugeot 5 speed transmission and it was A dog 🤣
Gotta lose the KO2’s for off-roading this serious.
Yep but they really work well for daily driving use so gotta pick what makes the most sense👍🏻
ill never understand why they dont bring laser pointers with them lol. so easy to mark spots
Thats a fantastic idea!
solid driving
Thanks man! My friend is getting really good with that stick!

Think he’d do better if 3 people weren’t telling him what to do
Yes lol...we are learning to have one guy directing! We just have to bite our tongues!!!
Way too many people trying to tell the driver what to do. Just pick one and stick with it....

Dad. Promoted to spotter!!
😉

Rockquest Off-Road awesome! Thanks for all the advice! That’s a good idea taking a leaf out and adding the shackle in 👍
@@matbrown160 No problem!
I’d buy this jeep
Yep me too
get some good tires
These are fantastic all around tires but in this mud some MTs or swampers would have made a big difference 👍🏻
What top is that? Thanks
Bestop Spice Bikini top
