As someone who is constantly trying to nurse my 5.7 from '76 with a quadrajet back to life, this may as well be a 2 million dollar build by comparison. Not knocking the guy. This thing is incredible. With that said my wife would kill me if I spent $10K+ under the hood on our old squarebody that we use for trash runs. Love the shirt by the way. If you don't love ZZ-Top then f*** you! 🤣
My dad's last project was a 572 in a 65 stepside for a 3 star Army general. He was an ASA and NHRA top fuel chief in the 70s and 80s. He died years ago, he would have loved this. He would have yelled at you for the slightest error. Miss you dad, you gearheads would have loved him.
Burnouts with big tires are one thing, but 4wd burnouts are a whole different animal! That takes some serious low end torque to bust all 4 tires loose!
Even blowing the rears loose, hes not brak torquing it. That is nuts! Had a built 454 in my 76 K5 no way in hell it could do that. Ripped the DS motor mount apart if I romped on it too much. Fun as hell!
Lol on my wife's profile. Been a mechanic for 30 yrs. Still got my k20 sbc 358 race modified. At 4 mpg. Live 3 blocks from work and it still cost me 40 a week. 15 years ago. I've got a family and mortgage now So I've been walking . Until my spine just gave out. Unemployed at moment Until spine heals. Hoping to fix it up and drive again someday. Loved your video sir
Awesome video man! Great to see you recognize the guys who left Hoonigan. You should get everyone on from what was once the most iconic youtube car channel ever. THANKS
Agree w comments- garage builds are inspiring. The shop ones are awesome, but seeing you can cobble together a truck/classic car, beat the shit out of it, park it anywhere and have fun? Epic good. Great show
Agree! Did mine in a garage for 2 yrs, rest was in a dirt backyard. Made a hokey spray booth, sandblasted/painted everything there too! You always appreciate what you make sacrifices for.
Zack reminds me of Bill Burr. With regard to his comment about the big block sounding different at 90 mph, in my experience big block Chevys emit a different type of harmony at 3000 rpm and above.
This is my new favorite.. I own a 75' k5 so I'm partial but dam these are fun. When you pull up in a k5 sounding like this the cool factor goes through the roof.. thanks!
Agree!!! Barely cracking the throttle open will keep you ahead of most any traffic. Its effortless with that torque. The kids that believe a hp# is everything dont get it.
If you grit your teeth while doing a donut and not shave your forearms, guaranteed extra tire smoke. There is a direct correlation between the friction in his teeth and the tires to the pavement.
I wish I knew anything about engines. This is SICK. Can’t imagine how much sicker I’d think it was if I knew what he said for the first several minutes lol
i had a 80 gmc jimmy came with 250 six cylender 4x4 i worked on a oil rig here in wv then it never let me down one of my favorite rides ever and it was identical as this one nice ride
It's absolutely one of my favorite episode 👌😎👍 Crazy and so unique GMC!!! Great episode, cool emotions Thanks Shawn and Mister Zachary))) nice t-shirt 😉
@julianpearson4908 I knowww, I have a centrifugal 6.0 in my squarebody. Just keeps pulling, and mid teens+ mpg's. The NA 502 will be arguably more reliable (less to fail) and there is just nothing like that big block torque, especially in low rpm situations. But I already know I'm gonna be looking at 6, maybe 8 mpg
The Mighty 572 BBC moves this big hunk of classic American truck steel like it was just a mesh-wire shopping-cart 🇺🇸💪 Two very cool American dudes btw. Mister Zach & Shawn 👍🏻
That truck is my kinda build. Mechanical first, then interior, the outside ( Body and paint) ... it's not falling off. Speaking of, if Zach ever does the paint I hope he does some kinda of small skull pattern in the white area because the patina on the front drivers fender in the white has always looked like theres some kinda skull pattern there that's just not rendering thru the recording and I think it'd be sick.
There's my new buddy Zac who's making a bunch of Californian's cringe! I'm glad you got my joke on the Gram! LOLI grew up in a Blazer.....my dad had a 76, my grandpa 77. I had a 77 step side. Love your rig man! 3K!!!! You can't touch a beginner build for 15K now!
Love it when you cover trucks, especially vehicles that dont cost 2 million built in a surgical shop.

@@n0-one0 I put over 100k in my square, still love it
@@skillage18 I doubt that I've made 100K of disposable income in my entire life. 🤣
@@n0-one0 Me neither, im poor. And im 27. :) Had the truck for 5 years
U know u got some HP when u can do burn outs with big tires
And without effort
That's Lil Bandit😅😅
Really ?
It's called torque 💪😆
Real talk
The true spirit of Hoonigan still lives on through Zach, and Vinny. KB43 would be proud. I'm sure he's watching these guys having fun too!
This has been long overdue in my opinion. That King Of Chop is finally on the channel
Been waiting a while for this to happen

Sorry to hear man. Sounds like a tower of know how, we are slowly losing men like him in this hobby.
Don't forget Hert!
This was the most normal episode between 2 car guys I've seen.
We were having a blast
Burnouts with big tires are one thing, but 4wd burnouts are a whole different animal! That takes some serious low end torque to bust all 4 tires loose!
572 cubic inch motor for the win! What a beast!
Even blowing the rears loose, hes not brak torquing it. That is nuts!

now this is what im talking about. i love this truck.

@@AutotopiaLA Awesome, another home run brotha!
Never needed cupholders, just a ciglighter in the dash

Love to hear details of that engine build! Love the modified class
Sorry to hear but glad you liked our video
4.3 MPG😳
But makes lots of smiles
No way it gets that mpg…4.0 EASY!!
Smiles per gallon
Gallons per mile 😂😂
Something about the simplicity but also the sheer madness of this monster screams freedom much like Zac used to as a Hoonigan. Nice job to you both!
The Almighty Chop Daddy
The legend
Huh? Never heard of that..but I dont do much internet other than email and this channel
Awesome video man! Great to see you recognize the guys who left Hoonigan. You should get everyone on from what was once the most iconic youtube car channel ever. THANKS
Been waiting a while for this to happen and working on some of the other guys from Hoonigan. So cool shooting with Zac!
It's not about miles per gallon, but smiles per mile and this Jimmy delivers!
I watch these two enough that it feels like my good friends are hanging out! Thanks for keeping the West Coast Car scene alive fellas!
Its still very much alive, just changes over time.
It’s so funny watching the headlights dim every time Zac gets on it, this is one of my favorite vehicles on TH-cam
Saw that too, strange. Bad ground, or voltage regulator problem?
He's running a lot of electronics and fuel injection, like 4 electric fans, WOT and those injecters/coils suck a lot of power @gordocarbo
@@garretabbott Good point. I prefer less electronics on these, part of the appeal.
Less to go wrong
4.56 gear ratio front and rear with eaton true tracs......thats sick dude!!!!!!
ive never seen him smile so much during an episode. zac's truck is truely a beast!
Thankfully not another bandwagon LS swapped thing 👍🏽👍🏽
That burn out spin was close to the wall!...balls of steel right there!
He’s all in

What? Two of my favorite TH-camrs together ripping a big block? Hell yeah
Old school bb power, it never gets old!!
Wide definition of Hot Rods today and this definitely meets the criteria. Such a bad ass truck.
I just freaking new it,i knew this, Jimmy would wind up on this channel! That thing is sick. I watch the build on his channel. It's a beast!
Total beast and more to come with us and Zac
So nice to see Zach get featured
Been waiting a while for this to happen and definitely more to come with Zac
Our boy Zac has made it big, been a fan since Gnarpm!!
Is he an actor or something? Or just YT'er
Mr zachary is a boss. been following this build and so glad ya shone the light on it as well.
Zack reminds me of Bill Burr.

Well done team another great collaboration
One sick ass GMC Jimmy, Zac is a Crazy driver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome
He’s a badass
These trucks were / are perfection, absolutely gorgeous. And now its got the performance to match! Well done.
Dig these!! Only square body I owned other than a 90 Dually where I had plenty of legroom. The trucks arent tall guy friendly
man that thing makes some power for a blazer / bobbleheads 🤣
Fav time to take mine off road was a day or 2 after a heavy rain
This is my new favorite.. I own a 75' k5 so I'm partial but dam these are fun. When you pull up in a k5 sounding like this the cool factor goes through the roof.. thanks!
That was great, Zacs Jimmy is just bad ass, I saw it when he was with Hoonigan and I was like Holy Balls that thing is bad ass!!!
Another awesome vid. Been watching Zac for a while. Crazy stuff. Big block, Love it. 👏
hell yeah about time! lol im dying at the bb love
Been waiting a while for this to happen
I love the effortless acceleration of a big cube big block. Keep the compression and cam moderate and it'll run forever.
Agree!!! Barely cracking the throttle open will keep you ahead of most any traffic.
Its effortless with that torque. The kids that believe a hp# is everything dont get it.
4.3 Mpg, gotta have some deep pockets with these gas prices, haha. 10 out of 10 chop rating
That's a good running Jimmy there the motor and the transmission big money
Oh yeah! Gotta be at least 15-20k for the engine alone.
Always wanted GMs solid roller version of this. Poverty sux!
If you grit your teeth while doing a donut and not shave your forearms, guaranteed extra tire smoke. There is a direct correlation between the friction in his teeth and the tires to the pavement.
I shave 🪒 my hiney hole 🕳️ so I don't get dingle berries 🍒
This is sick to see because I follow Zac on TH-cam as well! Love all the content guys!
I’m betting we’ll do some more together
Awesome! I’m sure it’s been said, but I’d love to see the Hoonicorn or even the Hoonitruck stop in for some action. I miss Ken, we all miss Ken.
572= Music to my ears! This is what I call a weekend fun machine! 😎
I love this rig, keep it up Zac!

Hell yeah! Two of my favorite TH-camrs in one vid and it’s with favorite vehicle, I have a K5 Blazer.
A big block 4x4 k5 is on my bucket list
Had one when I was 19....youre gonna love it! Even a mild 454 will move a Blazer real well!
I'm trying to decide whether to put an NA 502 or a supercharged 6.0 in my 83, already has a 4L80
@ they way supercharged LS motors are responsive it would be hard to pass that up. Over a 502 that is

This is perfection.
Whipping donuts in a big block square body just seems right 🇺🇲 Murica
Didn't think i would be into it this was great thanks bro
Glad you enjoyed it. Pure fun with Zac and his beastly BBC
Colt Seevers from Fall Guy would be 👏 proud.
