Ive been playing protea for years. shes why i didnt quit hearthstone and have 1700? ish plus hours under my belt. NEVER have i used the hold to cancel function on her 4th ability and frankly i dunno if i just forgot about it or misread it lol
I love Protea, and just wanted to say that if you're not a fan of her 4, gloom is a great subsume for her. It's not so much about the survivability as it is the cc from the slow. You can use her passive to get pretty high slow % and then gloom will group enemies at the edge of the radius, meaning if you get the right amount of range on you can trap them perfectly inside slash grenades. Only thing is you lose out on the armor strip augment, but if you slap on epitaph or another primer then the slash from her 1 will decimate, and blaze artillery needs no help to shred.
I gotta make another protea, my current one has gloom as her 4th. I love this build really. I love protea in general shes so underrated its just crazy.
Sir, your build doesn't start with enough energy to cast dispensary at the start of the run. It feels kinda counter-intuitive to need to use an energy pad every mission on the >>dispensary
the real effort is convincing the game you aren't actually afk or using a macro when it stops letting you pick up your orbs every 5 or so minutes :u do kinda prefer octavia now as the same kinda passive zone control frame, mostly due to juggling cooldowns less and having more time to loot & shoot, but tend to only play them when im farming for relics or doing the odd defence mission anyway. definitely feels strongest without helminth due to her 4's augment now, which is rare and kinda nice, super hungry for all your red archon shards though
Do we really need corrosive projection, since we already strip armor with her 4 and heat procs? I feel like growing power might be the better choice here or even brief respite
Nice build, but how do you counter the Violence Acolyte? I used silence before in my build to counter him, but now I see that temporal anchor is a much better option, I just need a way to counter him or kill him quickly.
I tried using the temporal erosion augment but in a game as mobile as warframe it just wasn't good for most game modes. I use terrify with good range to armor strip every then the turrets disintegrate them. Temporal anchor is cool and good to use on defense and survival though but terrify arguably better in all scenarios
Pillage w/ blazing pillage is a fun option as well, extra heat stacks for quick turret damage scaling and armor strip. Also makes you invincible paired with her 1 even if your shields get popped you get 5 seconds of shield gate which allows you to let your shields replenish enough to recast pillage again. With primed redirection it's seamless.
I'm not familiar with the purple archon shards but more efficiency is not necessary for protea as long as you have her dispensary up 24/7 and you pay attention to your energy usage. I don't even use flow on my protea build because with equilibrium there is no issue with energy
first if this build works your getting one fat follow and second i hope it works cause i had to use atleast 300 plat for mods that i dont have on my companions weapons etc just to make 3 builds work and they still dont work
I just don't get why people always replace temporal anchor, with that one mod it takes care of everything and just get's better. Sure there's some decent build with it replaced but they just don't feel good in my opinion. I'd rather play another frame that does it better if i need to replace it yea know =/
Motion Sickness + Animation time, it's preference, good ability but quality of life in game and out is what people dislike and I fully get that. I like the Augment so I kept the build to it
@@NoSympathyyCA1 ah, yea i get that kinda, a lot of this game is fast moving but that is probably one of the worst. but damn people that don't have to replace it i feel are missing out.
because 1) Roar + precision intensify wreaks, it raises the damage of your heat procs and everything else; 2) Blaze artillery and grenade fan are unreliable to proc her augment, and if you dont armor strip 100%, it doesnt make much difference because of how armor scaling works (it will be fixed soon); 3) Usually monsters die before you can fully strip their armor, even in deep archimedea; 3) We have other ways of armor stripping, specially if building a corrosive weapon + 2 green shards; 4) Heat procs already strip armor (not enough, but it can help sometimes), so, maybe its better to build weapons to help with the damage, or weapons to fully strip armor, as i said before.
She’s my main, I started playing her fast paced, always Fun to operator dash thru bad guys, re enter Warframe and place a dron. Also bullet jumping around placing drones high up or drop and leave to help team, just bowing you can hold a door without looking is priceless haha, hope you enjoy it too. I have all here abilities, but replaced roars. Happy gaming Ps the health orb to energy mod is amazing for her… you can spam spam spam
first ability shield regen is not great.... if you're in the midst of your invincibility period after a shield gate, the slow regen of shield will end your invincibility period early with a not so optimal amount of shield. No problem, this can be easily replaced with a much better subsume ability like condemn.
Cast her 1 at your feet so the moment her shield breaks you grab another shield satellite and restore her shields immediately (the initial restore upon pickup is much larger than the regen over time). She can do this three times per cast since she throws out 4 of them, and it's really cheap to recast as well.

Most than likely paired this with Zenurik for the free usage and didn't notice. If this is a problem, adjust

Whatever suits! These builds are not law, they're optionals to inspire and share. Aura's are always a flex spot for most builds

Could i use a purple archon shard instead of equilibrium so i can give protea some efficiency or is it not that important?
I'm not familiar with the purple archon shards but more efficiency is not necessary for protea as long as you have her dispensary up 24/7 and you pay attention to your energy usage. I don't even use flow on my protea build because with equilibrium there is no issue with energy
