I always recommend braton prime and burston prime if someone newer asks. Never vaulted, fairly low MR, fairly powerful early on, and pretty good riven dispostion were good enough reasons for me before. But with incarnons now, i can't recommend them enough to someone at lower-mid MR.
@@jakehelder3254 I'd say 5-10, as the first 5 or so won't take too long if you're using a lot of new things. I'd lean more on the 'mid' than 'low', since you have to put in a fair amount of time still. Admittedly, I did think the burston was lower. Forgot it's MR 12 now 🙃
As someone just 2 weeks it's nice to see these kinds of things. My fav moment so far has to be buying a soma prime off the market, only for it to be farmable a day or two after...truly the warframe experience
Pretty sure you can go to the prime resurgence shop (where you buy recently unvaulted relics with aya) from the market console in your orbiter/ship behind the nagigation, so you dont have to go to the relay all the time :)
5:28 you can also get the cedo from trade if you haven't grinded the deimos syndicate and its pretty cheap for plat or you can get a high level clan member to trade it for you
I'd highly reccomend the Convectrix. An absolute Slash monster, and now it's even better since its Augment has become a permanent addition to Nora's shop.
A point about the Kuva Grattler: It's not fantastically powerful, and it doesn't scale particularly well into the late game, but it has some specific uses that it's absolutely the best for. 1. Loot/ayatan/syndicate medallion farming. 9m explosive radius that ignores LOS is perfect for breaking loot containers, even ones behind walls, under floors, etc. Most of the time you just shoot and your vacuum picks them up without you having to drop down hatches and climbing through vents and whatnot. This is helped enormously by the 320 max ammo capacity, so you can shoot fairly care free. If you can't vacuum something up, there's a good chance it's a medallion or ayatan or plume or somesuch. 2. Defense missions and area control bounties. If you're like me and don't like running certain frames, or, like me, have sometimes trouble spotting enemies in area control bounties, Kuva Grattler is your new best friend. Just look at the minimap to get a sense where the enemies are at and start shooting, then adjust your aim according to where the damage numbers are popping up. Makes those so much simpler when you don't have to worry about missing some douche looking to shank your defense target. With the Kuva Grattler, you won't miss.
The junction nodes should reward weapon, frame slots, potatoes of both kinds, etc. just to make it easier for the new player. Also more starting plat for slots too. I know nightwave is a thing but this should be considered seperately as not every is going to immediately able to do all the tasks from a newbie perspective.
Ferros has actually been my most used weapon in i think around 2000hours of playtime and since i finally got the tenet ferrox i got even happier since i can just hold down the trigger.

Correction you're one of the few to ever run it nowadays. Back then, it was an overused, top tier weapon. It still is a powerful weapon though, just not used as much as it was before.
I can't really agree, having used it for a good amount of time. Once you build it well and get it going, you can absolutely one to two tap steel path enemies on a headshot.
I’d do it but the grind was to much for me so I bought mine the rng and grind was just to much and I was so behind back then I had to catch up the more people there are to give them out to players in need the better it’s a monster of a weapon for its rank and deserves more attention then it currently gets.
Some weapons that weren't included but should be: 1) The dread, easily the best early game bow since it can one shot grineer on the kuva fortress with beginner player mods 2) the tigris, basically the hek but more damage 3) the vectis, a weapon that is just better than the rubico at this point in the game 4) ogris, see the tonkor but trade damage that you don't need on star chart for more AOE, also nightwatch napalm 5) arca plasmor, basically the best shotgun you will get before late game and 6) the miter which scales extremely well for when you start hitting tougher enemies at the end of star chart. It's also important to pick 4 or 5 weapons to keep while you're pushing through MR since you only start with ~8 weapon slots between your primaries, secondaries, and melee weapons. The ignis/ignis wraith is 100% a keeper, as is your tonkor/ogris, fulmin, and vectis/rubico. The rest are more or less up to preference.
Fun fact on the Exergis since I like to pick it up now and then, if you use those magazine capacity mods (or a riven with the stat) that nobody ever uses normally, you can turn it into a two-shot instead of a one-shot with just 50%+ mag size if I remember right. This, obviously, helps its damage output quite a lot, especially with status builds where the second shot will be quite strong. This still wouldn't be incredible, but the weapon *does* have a small amount of innate punchthrough and a fair bit of innate slash damage, so frames that magnetize bullets like Mag or maybe Xaku can get a fair bit of value out of it.
It's my most used weapon at mr17, if you build it right it can be a beast, ive found though, it's better off buffing reload speed over having that 2nd shot and upping multishot.
Strong recommend for the Atomos at MR5. It's the kuva nukor before the kuva nukor existed and it's pretty strong with some basic mods, incarnon upgrade down the line too!
I'd recommend shortbows to new players as they have a lot of punchtrough. When i started out it was really nice to be able to shoot trough cover so i could safely stand behind them.
Many people underestimate kitguns. My Vermisplicer is currently my eidolon weapon of choice. It has high base multishot but basically acts as a chaining or single target beam with its tendrils. The thing destroys the eidolon faster than my Burston or rubico prime. Don’t sleep on kitguns.
For anyone new, ignore the wierd reticle on his toward, that appears after an upgrade in steel path Just so you don’t get confused why yours doesn’t have it :)
Btw, The boltor is also pretty good weapon for Archon Hunter (Get The prime ones if you can, the syndicate ones works too). Tried with ivara + roar. Pretty damn good.
Havent played WF for at least 3 years and my clan didnt had the blueprint for the ignis wraith. Now i have it in my Dojo. i think they give it to all clans that reach clan rank 10.
I will note that you can build the Ignis Wraith blueprint at your Dojo's Chemlab but your clan needs to be Rank 10 or higher before you can research it. Source: I founded my own solo clan in December of last year to get access to Clan Research I lost due to being removed from my old clan due to inactivity, as well as access to Dojo decorating and Operation Gargoyle's Cry.
The Dubba Stubba Disrespect is high in this community and I can not see why. Full Access to IPS, a filler element of your choice for free, hitscan projectiles with huge fire rate and all the multishot secondary mods can offer in addition to GunCO and a way to focus all the status on Heat to stack Cascadia Flare and you have a bonkers status gun with everything a tenno would want. The only atrocity is the name. Dubba Stubba it is and noone can tell me otherwise.

The Dubba Stubba actually works well and with the insane amount of different status effects even kills 250 Murmurs rather quickly, something I can not say my chain lightning guns can do as consistently with their enourmous health pools. Not that they CANT deal with them. It just becomes boring putting two loads of incarnon juice into a slinky.
the only thing i have to gripe about is that tenet arca plasmor should be in S and as a new player wanting a lets say endgame gun you should focus on shotguns which for some reason have cheap rivens

I run excergis A LOT (MR 17 now) and have it built so it has 110% status, 60 something % crit plus radiation and corrosive. Hands down favorite shotgun.
I tried getting the cinta for my new friends since it’s MR 2 and there are almost no bows in early MRs. I was a chicken without its head running around for puzzles. Took 5-8 hours I think…
I would also suggest the regular Fulmin at mr8. It is almost the exact same as its prime version it just has 60 rounds instead of 80 and 6% lower crit chance. While its crit chance is lower at 28% that is still above average.
Would recommend Vectis over the Boltor at MR2, purely because the Braton is a hit-scan weapon, and the Boltor can feel a bit 'slow' with its projectile bolts
ik this is a primary list but the mk1 Bo and xoris are the actual best new player weapons. even if you hate melee those weapons are so good for so long and are dirt cheap. you can get the mk1 Bo from the opening of the game or buy it from the market for 15k credits and the xoris is from the mr4 quest the deadlock protocol.
Isn't it bit of a tall ask of a mastery 8 player to recommend the cedo, when farming Entradi standing can feel very grindy to many people? Same thing goes for the Acceltra Disruption grind, the Exergis Argon Crystal Void farming and to a lesser extent the Lenz Cryotic Farm. You offered a lot of alternatve choices at this rank, which I really approve of! It's just that there is a lack of new player grinding friendly options

i had no clue that you could buy blueprints, I been playing for a week and was using MK1-barton, and thinking the game would give me weapons so when I saw credits I bough them not realising you can buy blueprints, so far this whole week I got boltor thinking it was a unlock then a mission gave me xoris and for the longest time I was wondering why my guns don't feel good, to find out the starting weapon I been using is the bad one and the actual braton was purchasbale , just now am I realising MK1 is the credit version and everything in my aresanal that is unlocked has blueprint available to buy, I legit could've gone this whole game with not knowing if it wasn't for a random video I just so happened to click on by accident

Please tell me I'm not the only one who realized that by the time they hit MR 3 or 5 that in order to get more MR you gotta rank up new weapons and frames. Yep that was me a year ago when I first started. I literally used Excal and I think boltor all the way without realizing which means losing so much time and effort. 😅
You can get convectrix at mr7 which is literally the best slash weapon in the game (not joking), easily carrying you all the way to level 9999, assuming you have an acolyte killer for ur melee or secondary (sporelacer exists). Dont sleep on the convectrix.
Bubonico is hands down my favourite. Been playing the game long enough now and I hate aiming. The AoE Nerf did Nerf it's recharge but it's still my Most used weapon.

Torid Incanon ist the peak primary weapon rn. You can delete everything with it. Second Place goes to Telos Boltor Incanon. There are my endgame monsters.
Just remember, with how far you can take weapons, the ones you personally enjoy using is best, even if it doesnt have the best DPS. Except the Stug. Avoid that one like the plague, its not worth even the mastery points to make it, let alone use it.
Well... my first Kuwa weapon was a Kuwa Seer AND i can say its really nice to use... it has a small AOE even... its not great but i felt was pretty good and unique tho
Get a Synapse riven fairly cheap makes the gun go from good to one of the best beam weapons in the game (Edit: Spirex is really good with a magnetic progenitor sounds weird but its kinda wacky)

Just a few, I believe 3 at most if you plan to use only one build. It has some quirks to it, though, which can save you some mod space when modding.

The Dubba Stubba actually works well and with the insane amount of different status effects even kills 250 Murmurs rather quickly, something I can not say my chain lightning guns can do as consistently with their enourmous health pools. Not that they CANT deal with them. It just becomes boring putting two loads of incarnon juice into a slinky.
Tried the amprex out at MR10 and i see why you use this gun so much. Its just fun and goes surprisingly crazy 👌

and as a new player wanting a lets say endgame gun you should focus on shotguns which for some reason have cheap rivens
Well the Exergis does require Repeller Systems which might take a while and might not even be realistically available at that mastery rank tho

I run excergis A LOT (MR 17 now) and have it built so it has 110% status, 60 something % crit plus radiation and corrosive. Hands down favorite shotgun.

I personally really like the vectis for mr2, even tho its not that useable, it has insane dmg and insane stats
I would also suggest the regular Fulmin at mr8. It is almost the exact same as its prime version it just has 60 rounds instead of 80 and 6% lower crit chance. While its crit chance is lower at 28% that is still above average.
Would recommend Vectis over the Boltor at MR2, purely because the Braton is a hit-scan weapon, and the Boltor can feel a bit 'slow' with its projectile bolts

ik this is a primary list but the mk1 Bo and xoris are the actual best new player weapons. even if you hate melee those weapons are so good for so long and are dirt cheap. you can get the mk1 Bo from the opening of the game or buy it from the market for 15k credits and the xoris is from the mr4 quest the deadlock protocol.
Isn't it bit of a tall ask of a mastery 8 player to recommend the cedo, when farming Entradi standing can feel very grindy to many people? Same thing goes for the Acceltra Disruption grind, the Exergis Argon Crystal Void farming and to a lesser extent the Lenz Cryotic Farm.
You offered a lot of alternatve choices at this rank, which I really approve of! It's just that there is a lack of new player grinding friendly options

I'd add Kohm to mr5. It can handle level 100 sortie grineer with enhanced armor, and doesn't need a ton of investment to be effective.

i had no clue that you could buy blueprints, I been playing for a week and was using MK1-barton, and thinking the game would give me weapons so when I saw credits I bough them not realising you can buy blueprints, so far this whole week I got boltor thinking it was a unlock then a mission gave me xoris and for the longest time I was wondering why my guns don't feel good, to find out the starting weapon I been using is the bad one and the actual braton was purchasbale , just now am I realising MK1 is the credit version and everything in my aresanal that is unlocked has blueprint available to buy, I legit could've gone this whole game with not knowing if it wasn't for a random video I just so happened to click on by accident

You can get convectrix at mr7 which is literally the best slash weapon in the game (not joking), easily carrying you all the way to level 9999, assuming you have an acolyte killer for ur melee or secondary (sporelacer exists). Dont sleep on the convectrix.
While Cedo is technically MR8, I don't think many people would be R5 with Entrati at this point

Bubonico is hands down my favourite. Been playing the game long enough now and I hate aiming. The AoE Nerf did Nerf it's recharge but it's still my Most used weapon.

Well... my first Kuwa weapon was a Kuwa Seer AND i can say its really nice to use... it has a small AOE even... its not great but i felt was pretty good and unique tho

Get a Synapse riven fairly cheap makes the gun go from good to one of the best beam weapons in the game (Edit: Spirex is really good with a magnetic progenitor sounds weird but its kinda wacky)
