Put the build on harmony and with a Warframe that had literally zero melee bonuses I hit 2.14B. Granted it took a lot of attempts but hitting that with nothing but whacking them hard felt nice :)
How? I’ve hit 24 million but that’s with ash prime. Tbf I don’t have any of the prime mods but without ash I’m hitting 24k consistently. Do this build require ash prime?

Its caused by the interactions between Harmony heavy attack passive and Melee Affliction To make it clear: Harmony heavy attack passive deals all the status procs in a single heavy attack. Melee affliction gives 6 more stack to each status present on each enemy if they're knocked or flung by melee hits, but it just needs the ability to do it, not actually doing it so it works even on enemies immune to any type of cc (knocked and flung included) Put those 2 together and Harmony deals hundreds of millions if not billion of dmg Personally i prefer using Melee elementalist mod with Shock Troopers (volt ability with the augment) Melee elementalist is a new multiplicative dmg mod so why not Also Status Duration mods on harmony helps a lot
@@JonJones-u6valso works better on higher lvl enemies or enemies with more hp for some reasons For example i rarely hit the 2B dmg when starting a mission while hitting 2k+ enemies result in most of the times in a 2B hit

You need to hit the enemy's head with the heavy, proc a slash status, and "knockdown" your target all before Harmony's passive kicks in. add all that together and with out any help you'll have a breathtakingly low chance of hitting 2.1B. But since it's possible with nothing adding anything that buffs your damage will only serve to improve your odds of smacking something too hard.
I think different procs arent taken into the calculations when they die, so if heat detonate kills them the slash detonate wont be added to the total damage shown. Well this is a theory from my testing. It could also be just normal weapon damage being too high if you stack too many buffs and strips. Keep in mind status for the double proc and crit rate also affects how hard the DoTs hit.

Dude breaking things down like this is so easy to understand please continue to make videos like this some of us aren’t as intelligent we just see a build and think okay it works then go to another area or frame and are like “wow the game is cheesing me atm I’m not hitting my damage” so now with this being explained we now why it does what it does, when it does lol 😂🎉❤

Reaping spiral's neutral light attack combo does include a fling move which works with melee affliction, however you have to not hold a direction key during the combo

Wow, you did a great job explaining what makes the weapon so good. Even "just" 21M is quite good in 99.9% of all content, so yeah, this rocks. I was always wondering whether the special effect would also apply to the forced slash procc, and now that I see that it does, I'll definitely give this one a try, as that is quite cool. But yeah, really good guide, man. Also makes you wonder about Lavos, who passively can get more status duration. Usually just a gimmick, it might be quite good with this particular weapon. 🤔
Was able to replicate 2.1B with Lavos. Did not have bane mod, but used roar and his valence augment with electricity to also force electricity procs. His other passive is that ability duration also extends status duration with any weapon. Also to note, I have not used any forma on my harmony, and my melee affliction is only rank one.
I like this kind of video a lot more than the others. I have one request when you do run these videos. At the end give a quick run on steelpath survival.
Don't get why people are whining, this is exactly what I wanted out of a heavy attack melee. I don't even have all the best mods for it yet and I am already hitting for millions of damage without worrying about getting headshots. It is already amazing for dealing with overshield enemies when using crowd control warframes.
And I agree but I think you and some others are missing the point. This weapon truly is one of the strongest we've ever had. Off the top of your head, can you name a Melee weapon without primer, buffs, debuffs, etc that can not only reach 2.1b max limit.. but if those limits were removed can reach beyond the billions into trillions in one single swipe? My emphasis was showcasing that point even if it doesn't translate 100% all the time due to body multipliers needing to be factored in. Personally I think it's wild but then again I'm a geek and wanted to shed some further light on this haha
Bro I just tried it out on my baruuk and it slaps enemies out of existence , it's even better dps wise than my Desert Wind Prime 7 forma 2 umbra forma build.
3-1 Format rivens are still better than 2-1 format rivens even at the lowest disposition of .5 if the rolls are correct. Unless you have access to a yet unmodded multiplier somehow or need to push a targeted stat to the absolute limit, then you always want a 3-1 for the greater stat disparity and spreading out your diminishing return losses.
New Gal. mods are especially nice on this weapon. Gal. Elementalist is just a straight upgrade for higher initial combo count. Curious if Gal. Steel is worth it over Sac. Steel. Some of the crit chance may need to be outsourced, but the extra crit damage is huge.
For the life of me, i am testing the damage in simulicrum with condition overload and voruna on lvl 130 heavy bombers. I can't cross 7 mill which is even rare for me. I have maxed rank affliction, i mean it should atleast reach in hindred millions right even if i didn't have faction mods equipped.
i dont understand the reason why im hitting like 5mil when you were doing 72m with the same mods preset, i tried also to put all the strongest damage mods and i was still hitting around 10mil and occasionally 100mil. als used kullervo with his first ability but not really big difference
Not sure what to say in response. The guide is pretty straight forward, no trickery or magic involved. The only way I'd be able to help is to physically see your setup and correct what's going on. Perhaps swing by my Stream sometime (when I'm playing WF on my main account) and I might be more of assistance then
been trying out this weapon for a few days. i wanted to have a strong weapon to handle some of the elite/unique enemies, but sadly, it can't one shot enemies like the jugulus, acolytes, necramechs, and sometimes some eximus because you can't do hard cc on them to activate affliction... at least, not with only roar and bane. needs more DoT from other sources i guess.
I just have one question @NoSympathyyCA1. Harmony comes with a Vazarin polarity and you have a Naramon polarized slot where you have Melee Elementalist. What were you using that for and if it is part of other builds can we see those as well?
Thanks for the question. I actually showcased this in the video. Whenever I do heavy attack builds I use the combination element against said faction. So I showcased me WANTING to put Viral in for bonus dmg against orokin. But for Harmony, it works better that I don't go elements. So I had previously forma'd for Primed Fever Strike. Well, that was a waste with this unique heavy attack build haha
I saw you have a kulletvo build for this, what exactly are you changing in that one? I guess the starting combo because it's an easy build up fir what tho?
Thanks Ed, and absolutely. On my Kullervo scythe build I don't use any Damage Mod nor Sac. Steel. I use Viral Element for bonus dmg against Orokin. I use Arcane Fury as a dmg replacement but I also have 5x Tauforged Violet Archon Shards. So the moment I use Wrathful Advance I barely see Harmony proc because I'm dealing too much base dmg that Harmony won't have anything to convert because the enemy is already dead. It's a mouthful lol
It's been patched and I mentioned this in my pinned comment. Video remains up to showcase build crafting and also for educational/historic purposes. Now-a-days you'd use this similar as you would a "Hate" build with a "Primer" for example. Still very strong but you're not going to see what we performed in the video unfortunately.

i use this melee a lot with my electric frames using melee influence. it is roken on geaqr. love this melee..never put range or lasting sting on it.. ive only hit damage level cap with gyre.. let see if this ui;ld makle it lovely with other frames
hi im kinda new to game so i wanted to ask, if a melee weapon has a forced proc on their heavy does it apply that forced prop to slam attacks we make from air?
Crit chance, status duration(probably best in slot), raw damage, crit damage, initial combo count(good so long as it is alongside other key stats so that it can slot over Corrupt Charge). These are all good or acceptable stat bumps.
Unless they make the number an 64-bit signed, we are capped by 32-bit signed number maximums. Or you just roll over to negative numbers as it happened a lot in the past.
Don't get me wrong, Warframe has a lot of different ways to obliterate enemies into dust. However - I don't recall many weapons holding the potential to One Shot Raw like this. So it's just neat and I wanted to give it some exposure to those who also aren't aware
Recent patch fix changed where it was double dipping damage unintentionally, so it's good, but it'll never hit 2.1b on it's OWN anymore. It'll need the usual setup of primers, debuffs & buffs to hit max damage cap again
It would still be 2.1b, it doesn't change anything unfortunately If Warframe for some reason removed the Integer Limit then it would hit Trillions with that specific setup
No glitch. Still hits for millions. Tested after patch. Does not do billions on it's own but can do billions in level cap with primers & debuffs (like usual weapons do)

100%, I do mention this in this video. If you primer + wrathful and hit 2.1b on initial hit, then Harmony would deal Trillions (But can't due to limitations) So most of the time you wouldn't even see a damage number from Harmony because Wrathful kills the enemy and Harmony has nothing to proc
Quite a few weapons can reach cap but need primer/help from other weapons or abilities. Also depends on which enemy unit you hit. A Butcher is easier to proc 2.1b on where as a Heavy Gunner takes a fair bit more overall damage to hit 2.1b. See my Kullervo video on "how to make your melee weapons hit billions" to learn more if it helps you
As mentioned later in the video. You do NOT need ANY Warframe to reach 2.1b damage. The weapon alone can do it. Other Warframe's just help bump the base damage up, so you can take whoever else you want
i would like it more if you wouldn't ALWAYS go for headshots with the melee... except when u want to show it can reach damage cap... because let's be honest noone aims for headshots with a MELEE
You answered it yourself; This video was an educational build showcase to show a weapon that could reach trillions of damage if it wasn't for the integer limit. And in order to do that, it needed the headshot multiplier. The video served it's purpose! No weapon should ever be able to do this FLAT. With buffs/debuffs, sure. Regardless, this has been patched as it was double dipping the headshot multiplier, so it won't do this anymore. It still hits strong, just, you don't need to aim for headshots to get a very niche, very specific, very ridiculous outcome like this haha.
This is a purely Heavy Attack set up. I have no Attack Speed generated from anywhere - unless I put Arcane Strike on a Warframe. Otherwise, without A.S, it would be even slower to use. So you can use Tennokai, just remember A.S
People be straight up ripping the build. Replace killing blow with melee elementalist, and boom, MHBlacky fecking copied your build, mod for mod. Down to headshotting the eximus

Really cool and indepth explanations. i just have one thing to correct: Your explanation of faction mods and their interaction with bleed status is misleading and borderline wrong. You said that "our slash ticks with this [faction mod] will basically deal double damage". This is not what double dipping means, even with the harmony equipped. Double dipping means that the mod not only increases your damage once, but twice. In the case of slash heavy weapons it increases the damage of the initial hit by 1.55, and then each slash tick after that again. Example: Lets say your faction bonus is x1.5. Without the mod your weapon deals 2 dmg on hit, and then 6 times a slash damage proc of 2 damage each per second. Totalling 2+(6*2) = 14 damage. If you now equip the faction damage mod, your weapons deals 2*1.5 = 3 damage, and each slash tick deals also 2*1.5=3 damage, giving you 3+(6*3) = 21 damage. Which IS NOT double of 14. Double dipping here just means that the faction damage mod increases both the initial damage AND the damage over time. Other than that, I enjoyed you going into the detail and explaining really thoroughly why you chose the mods you chose. I imagine this is quite helpful for new players.
No, your explanation is incorrect. The strength of the slash proc is based on a "modified" version of the weapon damage, which includes faction mods, but then when the slash proc ticks and deals damage, the faction multiplier is applied *again*. As a result, a +55% faction mod results in +55% damage on the initial hit, but +140.25% damage from the resulting slash procs. (See the Slash Damage page of the wiki for more detailed calculations.) To illustrate with the numbers you chose, with the faction mod, your weapon would deal 2*1.5 = 3 damage, and the slash ticks would deal 3*1.5 = 4.5 damage, for a total of 3+(6*4.5) = 30. Since all of the slash procs together generally represent significantly more damage than the upfront hit, a +55% faction mod results in more-than-double the amount of overall damage that would have been dealt without it.

You want faction damage multiplier just use Rhino or his Roar helminth.
If I'm remembering right wouldn't lavos be pretty good too since the status duration can be extended by lavos with duration mods

I have this identical build but have not seen a crit above 9 mil.. Every single thing is the same, i've double and triple checked it.
It's been patched and I mentioned this in my pinned comment. Video remains up to showcase build crafting and also for educational/historic purposes. Now-a-days you'd use this similar as you would a "Hate" build with a "Primer" for example. Still very strong but you're not going to see what we performed in the video unfortunately.
I wonder how well it would do with melee duplicate discipline merits with 12 times combo for heavy attack or a melee Crescendo with heavy attack efficiency

i use this melee a lot with my electric frames using melee influence. it is roken on geaqr. love this melee..never put range or lasting sting on it.. ive only hit damage level cap with gyre.. let see if this ui;ld makle it lovely with other frames

hi im kinda new to game so i wanted to ask, if a melee weapon has a forced proc on their heavy does it apply that forced prop to slam attacks we make from air?

Crit chance, status duration(probably best in slot), raw damage, crit damage, initial combo count(good so long as it is alongside other key stats so that it can slot over Corrupt Charge). These are all good or acceptable stat bumps.

Don't get me wrong, Warframe has a lot of different ways to obliterate enemies into dust. However - I don't recall many weapons holding the potential to One Shot Raw like this. So it's just neat and I wanted to give it some exposure to those who also aren't aware

Recent patch fix changed where it was double dipping damage unintentionally, so it's good, but it'll never hit 2.1b on it's OWN anymore. It'll need the usual setup of primers, debuffs & buffs to hit max damage cap again

If Warframe for some reason removed the Integer Limit then it would hit Trillions with that specific setup

No glitch. Still hits for millions. Tested after patch. Does not do billions on it's own but can do billions in level cap with primers & debuffs (like usual weapons do)

100%, I do mention this in this video. If you primer + wrathful and hit 2.1b on initial hit, then Harmony would deal Trillions (But can't due to limitations) So most of the time you wouldn't even see a damage number from Harmony because Wrathful kills the enemy and Harmony has nothing to proc

Quite a few weapons can reach cap but need primer/help from other weapons or abilities. Also depends on which enemy unit you hit. A Butcher is easier to proc 2.1b on where as a Heavy Gunner takes a fair bit more overall damage to hit 2.1b. As mentioned later in the video. You do NOT need ANY Warframe to reach 2.1b damage. The weapon alone can do it. Other Warframe's just help bump the base damage up, so you can take whoever else you want

because let's be honest noone aims for headshots with a MELEE
You answered it yourself; This video was an educational build showcase to show a weapon that could reach trillions of damage if it wasn't for the integer limit. And in order to do that, it needed the headshot multiplier. The video served it's purpose! No weapon should ever be able to do this FLAT. With buffs/debuffs, sure.
Regardless, this has been patched as it was double dipping the headshot multiplier, so it won't do this anymore. It still hits strong, just, you don't need to aim for headshots to get a very niche, very specific, very ridiculous outcome like this haha.
Why not use tenokai?
This is a purely Heavy Attack set up.
I have no Attack Speed generated from anywhere - unless I put Arcane Strike on a Warframe. Otherwise, without A.S, it would be even slower to use. So you can use Tennokai, just remember A.S

Your explanation of faction mods and their interaction with bleed status is misleading and borderline wrong. You said that "our slash ticks with this [faction mod] will basically deal double damage". This is not what double dipping means, even with the harmony equipped. Double dipping means that the mod not only increases your damage once, but twice. In the case of slash heavy weapons it increases the damage of the initial hit by 1.55, and then each slash tick after that again. Example: Lets say your faction bonus is x1.5. Without the mod your weapon deals 2 dmg on hit, and then 6 times a slash damage proc of 2 damage each per second. Totalling 2+(6*2) = 14 damage. If you now equip the faction damage mod, your weapons deals 2*1.5 = 3 damage, and each slash tick deals also 2*1.5=3 damage, giving you 3+(6*3) = 21 damage. Which IS NOT double of 14. Double dipping here just means that the faction damage mod increases both the initial damage AND the damage over time.
Other than that, I enjoyed you going into the detail and explaining really thoroughly why you chose the mods you chose. I imagine this is quite helpful for new players.
No, your explanation is incorrect. The strength of the slash proc is based on a "modified" version of the weapon damage, which includes faction mods, but then when the slash proc ticks and deals damage, the faction multiplier is applied *again*. As a result, a +55% faction mod results in +55% damage on the initial hit, but +140.25% damage from the resulting slash procs. (See the Slash Damage page of the wiki for more detailed calculations.) To illustrate with the numbers you chose, with the faction mod, your weapon would deal 2*1.5 = 3 damage, and the slash ticks would deal 3*1.5 = 4.5 damage, for a total of 3+(6*4.5) = 30.
Since all of the slash procs together generally represent significantly more damage than the upfront hit, a +55% faction mod results in more-than-double the amount of overall damage that would have been dealt without it.
