Great to hear Matty liked it, also him loving Pacino bodes well for how he thinks of Heat. Though another ~3 hour movie so soon is alot so i hope that doesn't put him off!
He's going to be so shocked at how different Pacino was by the time he starred in Heat, which is more of the modern Pacino acting style (even though it is nearly 30 years old). That being more boisterous and way less subtle than he was in the 70s.
Part 1 and Part 2 feel like a duology because they came out in 72 and 74 respectively and it was almost 20 years later until Part 3 came out in 1990. However part 3 is still really good, but it’s just not on the level of 1 and 2. Francis Ford Coppola just recently released a directors cut of the film in 2022 called “Coda”, which is a much much better cut of the film. He also wanted to call the movie Coda and not Godfather 3, because the film was acting as a coda to the grand story of part 1 and 2 but obviously “Godfather 3” sells more tickets with that title. If you ever get to part 3, watch Coda instead of the theatrical cut.
Im dedicated to watching all your videos, but I haven't seen this movie yet, so I only watched parts because I want to see it myself. Ill get right on that
For further context on the horse head, the horse head was real, but according to crew members it came from a horse that was slaughtered at slaughterhouse where they used horse meat for dog food. They got the head from a recently slaughtered horse.
What I love about the baptism scene is the juxtaposition of traditional family values, religious morality etc. and the cold blooded murderous measures taken to preserve the family. The parallel editing between these two contradictory scenes demonstrates the contradiction of Michael’s character. Do you renounce satan and all his wicked deeds? I do - BLAM! Also it builds tension masterfully, when it keeps cutting the overweight dude walking up the stairs did anyone else feel like he was going to have a heart attack before he got to the top???
Godfather does suspense so well; laying out the plan for the restaurant and then the slow build seeing if it's going to work.
A goat movie reviewed by two goats
Man this channel needs more attention
Commenting before I watch. Pleeeeease let him like it…
Hell yeah. Matty’s take on Al Pacino had me hyped. Favorite actor ever.

Absolutely loved The Offer! Great recommendation.
@LockPlays It's definitely a great watch. I'm really glad to hear that you watched it as well.
Matt try the Godfather game on PS2. The second one isn't that good. But the first one is so underrated

These are those movie watching moments that build your taste Matty. Excellent episode and excited for coked up Pacino next week in Heat.

When's Matty gonna watch The Thing?
As someone who isn't a fan of horror, The Thing is up there for me. So good.
