I loved how Colin started his mob life by accepting the bag of groceries and his mob life ended with a bag a groceries. Not sure if that was intentional.
Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt both are in Interview with a Vampire, and it’s easily one of Tom Cruises best and most memorable performances. Also, it’s my favorite Vampire film.
I remember The Departed coming out and it was a little divisive amongst film buffs at the time. I'm not sure what it was but I think it could have been just a passing of Era's out of that 90's auteur run movies had been in.
I think that’s Scorsese’s most underrated film, I always see people disparage that movie. 1860s New York has never been better realized that this movie. Also this is one of Daniel Day Lewis’ best roles.
I’ve just watched Age of innocence. The last Scorsese movie that was left for me . And it might be his best. Tender and in the same time intense emotions
e; nvm Lock did, I disagree about their similarity though. I'd love if the guys ever checked out Infernal Affairs and comapred the two, film school moviebros always suck off Scorsese but it would be interesting to see how much of what they enjoy is from the original movie and not the american remake, especially Matty speaking about the comparison to Death note, I feel the original did so so so so much better Scorsese's need to make everything a 2.5 hour epic crime drama boofs up the film with nicholsons overacting
Snyder I think is at his best when he’s adapting other peoples work, and at his worst when he’s writing his own stuff. Dawn of the Dead (Remake), 300, Watchmen, Legend of the Guardians, and Man of Steel are good enjoyable movies for the most part and they were all written/based on someone else’s work. Batman V Superman is the only film of his where his adaption of someone else’s work wasn’t that good in my opinion. Sucker Punch, Justice League (Snyder Cut), Army of the Dead, Rebel Moon parts 1 and 2 all are quite messy and overindulgent films. They definitely have fans, but I think the stuff he’s written directly are his worst movies.

"She fell funny" is one of my all time favorite lines in a movie😂😂

This is my top 5 movie of all time. I'm so happy Matty enjoyed it. Love this channel.
30:27 Whenever Micah says some crazy shit
Please let Matty watch Chinatown
Seconded, one of my favs in the genre.
3rded lol
This is a great film. It reminds me of the Yakuza games. I think my favorite Leonardo Dicaprio movie is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Leo is my favorite actor
I loved this movie, but I also loved its source movie, Infernal Affairs.
38:46 yeah, I'm not sure why people keep letting Zach Snyder make movies
His new animated series on Netflix is incredible. “Twilight of the Gods”
Has he ever seen wolf of wallstreet?
GANGS OF NEW YORK NEXT PLEASE

Willem Dafoe would hands down do the best joker.
Batman gonna be dope next week. Can't wait to hear how he reacts to Tim burtons vision of Gotham
I’ve just watched Age of innocence. The last Scorsese movie that was left for me . And it might be his best. Tender and in the same time intense emotions
Definitely a watch at work tomorrow Vid❤
"That one cop that fell from the building" ah yes the Illusive Man from Mass Effect 😅
Been waiting all day for this!
Matty needs to watch Perfect Blue
Yes! Perfect Blue is great
Matty needs to watch some Kung Fu / Hong Kong Cinema. Some John Woo, some Bruce Lee films. He has to see it
The write in about French's accent made no sense lmao, clearly he was not supposed to sound American.
AMAZING film…
Taxi Driver next?
"Infernal Affairs"
Please watch Downfall. German World War 2 film about Hitler's last days in the Berlin bunker as the walls close in around him.
No ticky, no laundry
Have you seen “Once upon a time in America”?
If you watch BVS watch the extended version. It makes a difference.
In my top 3!
@Retro Rewind You need to watch the town directed by ben Affleck.
Great movie! Awful therapist. I guess she sleeps with all her clients 😂

Can we have a Matt Damon vote?

Totally agree about Ray Winston’s accent. He can’t do a good Russian accent either, when he was in Black Widow. Just terrible
It's based on a real person
Batman V Superman is indeed trash. Van Helsing remains strong though! lol
