The rings what they do its give power over what the desire. Elf their land and magic, dwarf treasure and in this case the light, humans eternal life, so the corruptin came in that way, the elfs were safe of the corruption, the dwarfs dig too deep for balrgos and hover over so much treasure that dragons came, humans became the nazgul
I feel like we should have already met the 9 non of the numenoreans feel mighty or king like. They all act weasley and middle earths population seems thin. Where will these 9 men even come from?
Same place the dwarf lords come from in this episode - most likely from off-screen. We don’t even see the 7 Dwarf ringbearers and we’re unlikely to. We’ll probably get at least one numenorean Ringwraith, the Witch King, and presumably one from Rhun since it was name checked in this episode - but I don’t see the writers wanting to cram in 6-7 other side characters as backstory for the ringwraiths. The witch king is the only notable one of the Nine anyway.

This is the frist episode of this season that was enjoyable. And I think I have finally figured out why because looking through the episode catalog of both seasons, it is now clear to me that the less I see of Gladriel in a episode the better I like that episode and i so wanted not to admit that last season. The one thing I'm still not sure of is wether it is the writing for her character or the blandness of the actress. I really hope its the writing because that can be improved but the actor can't be replaced at this stage probably. Or just minimize her role in the show, there are so many other interesting characters and storylines in the show, just focus on them.
Season 2 Is Better Than Season 1 And Episode 1, 2 & 5 Are Best Episodes Of Season 2. But There Are Still Problems Like The Human (Numenor & Southlands), The Wizard And The Orcs Storylines Are Boring, The Best Aspect Of The Show Are Sauron, The Elves And The Dwarves Whenever There Is Sauron, Celebrimbor, King Durin, Prince Durin, Disa, Elrond, Gil Galad On The Screen It Suddenly Becomes Interesting. Even In The Silmarillion The MVP Of Second Age Are Sauron, The Rings Of Power And The Elves Specifically Celebrimbor So Whenever In The Show We Get To See Sauron Using His Manipulative And Deceptive Tactics On Celebrimbor, The Story Peaks, The Screenplay Peaks And The Music Peaks...
I'm worried about Celebrían and Celeborn and how they're going to make this character appear. I would theorize that after the fall of Numenor they would disappear with these human characters and there would be a time jump with Galadriel pregnant and Celebrían grown up, but there's still Isildur...so no chance. He'll still age, but not much. Unless Celebrían is already born and Galadriel has left her in a safe place, this could pose a problem in the future if they don't find a good solution.
33:38 Sauron was playing the long con, make three rings for the elves that work and do good, so he can draw them into making more rings, but those are corrupted, by then its too late and he's got them hooked. Like a Ponzi scheme, get a new investor to see big profits from an initial investment, then they go all in and the scammer has their money, so its too late.
im loving the series but maybe its because i did media but for me that will go down as one of the worst endings to an epiosde i have ever seen. not even blaming actors or filming as such but the storyline was soo pointless. yes we needed that interaction where addar tells galadriel about the common enemy, but we already knew that convo was to happen so to end two episodes in a row basically identical is incredibly dumb they showed the recap to just re show a similar ending at the end for 2 minutes honestly i love the show but that will go down for me as one of the most unimportant endings i have ever seen
While I partially agree, I think that this episode was a step in the right direction. Elendil was great in this episode, as was the queen regent. The overall story there is weak for sure, but the performances of some of the main actors plus the trajectory of Elendil/Isildurs’ characters here is interesting to me considering how we first see them on screen. I have hope still lol
Strongly disagree. Given that Numenor can't be the primary focus of this season (but probably will be in Season 3), they're still managing to efficiently show key elements of the lore as preparation for when the Numenor eventually becomes the main center of action.

You know, I'm starting to think calling him CeleBIMBO is actually more accurate by each episode
i really hope they will nail the fall of numernor. It gets really dark. Temples made for Morgoth, human sacrifices etc
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone!
It pissed me off so bad when that kid stabbed him in the back.
Bro this show is so 🔥 . Its painful to have wait every week. Never thought i would be so in to this lore but here TF I am.
Correct me if I am wrong, but is what the dwarf woman (forget her name) heard in the dark cave a Balrog? I think at the end of the last season we seen deep down and they showed fire approaching with a roar. Or was the scene in this related to yet another mosnter of the deep? -edit- You had the same sort of idea!
It will probably be the Belrog but it could also include the Watcher.
Is smaug the dragon from the hobbit
@@umarheadcutter7189 I know you did not tag me but yes.
6:42 LOLLL
This season of the show is pretty incredible honestly. I liked the first one, but this one is great so far
interesting. what are your other favourite shows?
I will say, what many people don't realize when they say they want the show to go away, its not going to. It was contracted for 5 seasons. Something like a BILLION dollar deal. So trust me, for that cost, they won't stop it before then. I just wish more people would take this show as being an alternate universe, though connected to the movies only, not so much the exact lore of the book. Because once you can accept its NOT an exact lore replica of the writings, you end up loving the show!
I dont think thats how it works, acolyte cost a shit ton and it got canceled, this show is not getting enough viewers (and therefore not earning enough money to justify the 1 bill) so its completely possible it gets canned too
Lore inaccuracy is not the actual problem. It's not very good regardless. Almost every line and scene is member berry crap from the movies or random book lines. Repurposed just to make you go "oh hey that's the thing". I hate that crap. None of the characters are likable. I don't care about any of them at all.
@@mirkecWiiAcolyte cost a bit but it doesn't come close to RoP. This is the most expensive show ever made.
Also this is one of the most watched seasons of a TV show on Prime, top 5. So Amazon will take that all day.
lowkey annoyed we lose my favourite numenorean
Loving Khazad Dum stuff
Sauron with his half truths and misdirections is really fun/frustrating to watch
I really liked this episode
this episode's high king Noldor somehow is really irritate. In Mr Tolkien book, Gil-galad is difference with all other King of Noldor. He care about his kind, and devote everything even his life not only to stop Sauron but also save as many elf as possible. But in this show, Gil-galad show hestitate to saving Eregion, it prove that this is pragnatic king who willing to sacrifice his kind to get benefit from it, and he also have short sight about strategic view. Even if he show himself have no diffence with other ambitious high king Noldor but at least he must have some wisdom worth with High King Noldor title. Does he really think Sauron is satisfy and stop after conquere Eregion ?🤔
But if they go to Eregion they'll get both!
Seriously, love they don´t present Celabrimbor as utterly stupid, he does push back on Annatar, he does have enough integrety to not follow his every word blindly, only… its Sauron he has to deal with, so…
Hii, loved your reaction as always. You should check out "my lady jane". It's a great series and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one.
Have these 2 ever seen Peaky blinders???
It was covered in the channel before and these two we're part of the reactions so I want to say yes but don't quote me on that.
@@katieee1203 yeah I’ve seen the reactions but Aaron and Eric weren’t in them, would love to see them cover it if they haven’t already seen it
Really struggle to follow the Numenor and harfoot storyline in this show.
Three seems like a good number of ringwraiths to know, and would you look at that, we have three distinct groups of humans in the show.
"not that far away" yeah cause the show wrote Elendil in thousand years earlier lol
I like how people are calling this season a flop so much that it can't be a flop cause everyone talks about it.
Sooo, like the acolyte? 😂
lol no one is talking about this show. (at least in real life anyways)
People also fail to bring up that this is one of the most watched seasons of a TV show on Prime, top 5.
@@mirkecWii Nah acolyte was actual trash
@@katieee1203 why is youtube deleting my comments? I posted three times, only 37% of viewers finished season 1, and its not looking good for season 2 (google RoP low viewership, I guess links arent allowed)
How does Sauron back and forth gaslight Celebrimbor without him noticing? It's so crazy. He made him worry about telling the high king the truth and then destablizes his authority by making him feel guilty of it. Like holy shit, it was his idea.
because....reasons? the writing is atrocious.
@@Adam-xg1ch No cause Sauron is an hypnotic, magical being like Eric said.
@@jonte2343 again, because the writing is atrocious. no matter what happens they can just say "ohhh because sauron was manipulating blah blah blah"
@@Adam-xg1chthat’s literally what Sauron’s character in the books is though; he’s a deceiver and manipulator. His power was never about physical strength 🤷
@@Adam-xg1chwhy do so many Americans like yourself try and hold nonsensical opinions about English media you were ever directly raised with or around?
Took an instant dislike for the daughter as well, even more so now!
I-O!
im loving the series but maybe its because i did media but for me that will go down as one of the worst endings to an epiosde i have ever seen. not even blaming actors or filming as such but the storyline was soo pointless. yes we needed that interaction where addar tells galadriel about the common enemy, but we already knew that convo was to happen so to end two episodes in a row basically identical is incredibly dumb they showed the recap to just re show a similar ending at the end for 2 minutes honestly i love the show but that will go down for me as one of the most unimportant endings i have ever seen
Aaron's thing is a Schick right he's not this obtuse irl?
The Numenor storyline has been horrible, it’s getting hard not to fast forward during each part
Very much dragging the show
While I partially agree, I think that this episode was a step in the right direction. Elendil was great in this episode, as was the queen regent. The overall story there is weak for sure, but the performances of some of the main actors plus the trajectory of Elendil/Isildurs’ characters here is interesting to me considering how we first see them on screen. I have hope still lol
Disagreed.
Strongly disagree. Given that Numenor can't be the primary focus of this season (but probably will be in Season 3), they're still managing to efficiently show key elements of the lore as preparation for when the Numenor eventually becomes the main center of action.
@@tysonchurcher1736 I’m glad that some people are enjoying it. I personally find it to be slow and also feel like the characters are by the far the most uninteresting ones in the show
One of the stronger episodes of this season. Still despise the show, and the Numenorians are awful
Meh
what feels a bit cheap to me is that they constantly use quotes from the movies. it feels like copy & paste, I mean they could have used other words for it.
The words they use 'from the movies' are usually from the books this is an adaptation of... which seems the thing to do if you adapt something. ^^
@@sebastian8237 yes but they copy it almost word for word and it sounds a bit lazy
@@sebastian8237except they aren't using the words from the book they are adapting (which they laughably dont have the rights for), but using words from books/movies which take place thousands of years after this show
From the books.
Most boring episode ever. At this point I just watch it like a trash TV series and that's fine. But even with that it was so damn boring. Those dialogue are a disgrace to humanity. We don't get to see anything what's happening in the world. Only boring dialogues from the same boring actors with looong meaningful looks covering they basically talk about the same shit all over again :D Cruel white guy numenor Joffrey was my personal highlight
Soooo you hate the show and yet you still watch it?
I don't understand some people 😂
@@katieee1203because it's fascinating to see how badly they make it despite so much money being spent. It reaffirms beliefs to not stay too far away from the source. Like he said watching as trash TV to laugh at how ridiculous it is. It's great for that

Eric hates this show. Admit it.
If he disliked this show he wouldn't be in the reactions. These guys don't fake reactions 👍
This episode was actually good….until the ending. Every time I get so close to liking this show, it does a 180.
I feel like the ending sets up an interesting plot line. I was hard on some of the show’s weak points in the past (including the previous episode) but I don’t really see the ending as bad until we see what it sets up/leads to
This show creating an alternate universe would be most welcomed by those of us that don’t like this show…. Might actually help us enjoy it a bit😮
To be fair Amazon sort of hinted this wasn't going to be exactly like the books and more of its own thing that takes place before the movies. Pulling inspiration from random Tolkien things instead. Which in that case, is why i am ok with the show. I just think of it as the "LOTRFranchiseVerse" instead.
i hated this episode tbh just depressing af to watch x.x
nothing int his episode to be happy about
not saying the show is bad but it just felt heavy to watch imo
the movies while having very depressing or sad moments still always felt like theres a little bit of positive or hope
@@MrAchsasI do understand, though in fairness….they are not going to succeed in a lot of the paths set up in this series..as we know by the existence of Lord of the Rings 😂. The men being loyal with Elendil was nice, there is some hope there. And I suppose we didn’t have much Elrond or Arondir or Harfoots this episode. So I suppose it’s just a balance of characters and storylines we got the slightly more depressing end. If there’s 8 episode it probably feels about right for episode 5 to be “oh god everything is just getting worse” 😅
