As someone who will be soon in the market for an M4, I am really happy for this series right now. Specially the fact that you have a different way of modding BMW's. Looking forward to seeing more.
Literally saying facts! Just bought a 15 83k mile m4 for $31,000 (cheapest manual M4 i could find local) was great for 2k miles then found out the intercooler has been leaking for years... valves looked terrible. Long story short $2,200 (Mishimoto intercooler, spark plugs, coil packs, gaskets) later it back to being fixed 🤣
@@richardfelts7507 i also did it all myself so $0 in labor id assume a shop would of charge around $1,000 for that labor. Also so far nothing but had some weird MAF codes after installed some intakes, put stock intakes back on, codes came back, cleaned them again so far 1 week later no codes. But thats just the motor issues, i need new front rotors.... ($850 for fronts for oem bmw) needs rear diff bushings and throw out bearing is makin noise.
Put Regamasters on it... or something with that wide five spoke style. Regas usually look better on 90's style cars, but it could work with the F-series.
I Love the way you totally explain the importance of maintenance on these car. People just buy and drive and think that's it, add bolton without doing the correct maintenance and then the car brakes then they say BMWs are crap without realizing they are the issue smh
Would love if you can make a video talking about how to take care of these cars throughout life of ownership from your perspective. For example: at 30K Miles, 50K, 70K, 90-100K, ETC. Maybe as you're doing the upgrades/maintenance on this you can also point out the areas where f8x owners can look at and talk about some signs of wear & tear and at what point should it be replace. As always, thanks for providing us F8x owner contents to enjoy!
You have been killing it with the videos since the start of the year, and now with the F82 I am constantly refreshing with notifications on for a new video. Super excited for this build, I’m sure it will give me some direction to mod mine!
Currently looking at a 2015 M3 w/ 92k miles and a 6MT! its getting dropped off for a PPI tomorrow before i finalize my purchase but i talked buddy down to 28k i hope its not a clapped basket case
I'm building an M4 GT4 inspired f32 . So far a have the whole m4 front, plus the m4 trunk . With that being said , could you turn it into a GT4 looking car ??
Coming along nicely👌🏾, definitely maintaining a high mileage BMW is no joke unless you can do the work yourself or have a shop that can work with you cost wise…looking forward to more content on this
Any advice on maintenance? Got mine last year at 52K miles, 66K currently. December did Oil pan gasket and OFHG Gasket due to leaks but wondering how I can better take care of the car. Looking to do DCT Fluid soon
@@Sheckles Some of these parts may wear differently depending on if you track the car or how you drive it. I bought mine with 71K miles, I daily drive mine and track it. When I do track the car I drive it hard. I would say do oil changes every 5-6k miles, would recommend an oil drain plug with a magnet to let you check for any metallic chunks. Would recommend liqui moly 5w40 unless you live in colder climates, slightly thicker oil quiets the loud lifters on the S55 and works better at track temp. Coolant every 30k miles. I’d recommend a brake fluid every 20k miles. Diff and trans fluid should be done around 75K if it hasn’t been done previously. I’d do every 50-60k after that. Around 90k I started noticing the suspension bushings were getting pretty worn out so I replaced the diff bushings, control arms, and tie rods. I swapped to power flex bushing, but on my upper control arms they tore after about 8 months during an autocross. If you’re tracking I’d look at monoball bearings like what Turner sells. My shocks probably are needing to be replaced so I’m looking at upgrading to coil overs soon. I did spark plugs at 75K and coil packs at 95k just as a preventative. Did cabin air filters at 95K. Old one was pretty gross. Valve cover PCV gasket failed at 80,000, sounded like a high pitch squeal after reaching running temp. That’s an expensive fix, valve cover is $800+ labor. I just did that myself in a day. If you smell something burning after running the car check if oil is seeping from the valve cover onto the turbos. Intake pipes cracked on me around 75K, I’d swap to a good aluminum pipe to keep that from happening. I haven’t done the crank hub since I’m not pushing 500+ hp. No issues after multiple track days/autocross. Overall the car has been solid so far. Hoping to do another 50k then I’ll do an engine tear down and refresh.
@@Justin_Slaton Amazing write up brother! Thank you so much! Soon as I got the car last May @52K Miles I had control arms replaced because of a clicking issue at low speed braking, did Rear diff fluid, plugs, brake fluid, and installed a CBC to be safe. I usually change oil every 4-5K, I've been using Liquimoly 5w40 but I'm switching to Motul X-cess Gen2 5w40. Ran a Blackstone sample last August and everything was great! December @ 61K I went for an oil change and we found OFHG and Oil Pan gasket were leaking, had both done and did charge pipes at the same time. Also has cabin air filter done, charcoal filters removed and put in dinan intake filters. My mechanic reccomended the transmission fluid at 52K when I got the car but I was going to wait until 70-75. I don't track the car and I think it's fine to wait until then, no issues at all driving, it's been a dream! I've been aware of the bushings, especially since my car is a 2015, they are most likely shot. I'll definitely do them at some point Only issue now is figuring out my brake gremlins, car not stopping like it used to, rotors were ~45% life according to my mechanic so I changed my pads to EBC Yellows. Been fine for a while but I didn't bed them in properly for sure. Changing brake fluid out this weekend and going to see if I can re-bed them in with a few hard stops. I've been on BM3 Stage 1 for a while now, usually run 91 map as I think 93 is a bit too fast if that makes sense. I honestly prefer the GTS Map for how smooth it is overall, but I switching between maps depending how I feel. Appreciate the write up, will definitely look at it more as I put more miles on the car. Cheers!
Wheels, what about aftermarket copy of another manufactures OEM wheels? Some manufactures OEM wheels look amazing from factory. Some of the OEM BMW wheels are amazing but, every BMW has them because they are OEM BMW. Again an aftermarket copy of another manufactures OEM wheels but, in BMW bolt pattern, bore hub size and then selected offset could look sick and definitely unique, especially to other BMW owners. Wheels that are common on a Lexus F car, Audi RS car ect... ect.... Hey just an idea 💡? In the past I have put OEM Audi wheels on VWs (not exactly the same principal I am suggesting but) the Audi wheels really improved the look of the VW. Again, just a completely outside the box thought.
Would love to see a valvetronic clone on the M4. I'm sure cencal has something with the equal length/single midpipe combo they got over there but for waaay less money.
Ya if you buy a sports car that’s not under warranty always have atleast 3-5k got maintenance I have a q50 Infiniti and even this car has needed thousands and had it 4 years already put 5k into into it with tires oil changes and basic fixes
Bro u always cook! Been watching u for years. I’m very curious as to how this build turns out. I have the exact same color combo as you , mineral grey and silverstone. Mineral grey looks amazing with carbon accents 👌
20:04 I think it would be interesting to see a set of Edelweiss wheels on the M4, and they’re a German so I guess that’s kinda fitting😂. I’ve seen them on the G80 and G81 (looks nasty😏), but I’ve never seen them on any F8X and I think it would be something really interesting to try out, plus they’re designed with perfect fitment in mind so no math or spacers necessary on your part👌🏾
Is it safe to put in 5 gallons of 100 octane and a half tank of 91? I think my local gas station doesn’t have 91 anymore, my mpg have been going down and the car feels down on power 😅(I’m in Cali)
Thanks for watching friends! You can shop suvneer carbon parts here: tinyurl.com/v8du8xmt

Also get the carbon lower spliter covers to cover the lower bumper corner pieces, then get the carbon fangs to cover the holes.
Welcome to the world of used BMW’s 😅 Great cars, but absolute money pits 💰
I mean I don't think that's too bad, it was just bad timing kinda. but after fixing that did you have any problems?

If you go single turbo I hope you do a single outlet exhaust, if you want to be different and standout.
When the front side parts come through it will def complete the look

Any shop recommendations on re-doing my carbon fiber roof in my f80 m3? I’m located in Charlotte as well
HRE FF10! It would look killer!
Obsessed Garage collab is pretty sick
It looks 10x better with those basic mods! Can't wait to see what's next.
6 miles a day, respect
the wheels on the Brabus 820 Turbo S would be cool to see on the f82.

That grey is beautiful reminds me of the Lexus Nebula Grey
You should check out the 3DDesign carbon m4 front bumper it’s like 3x the price of the euro bumper but it’s beautiful
racing dynamic S4s would go so crazy on the f82
Old F82 in for a make over from Thic Whips. Black BMW 666 wheels are good looking.

Why tile the floor, and not do an epoxy garage floor?
find some AVS model t7s they kill on a e92 so f series must be a try, might have to convert bold pattern 😢i doubt youll go that route
That’s why I got model 3 P, faster than my m3 and no maintenance. I do miss the sound sometimes.
It’s so boring though. I gave my wife the M3P
Love the diffuser. The brake light looks awesome to me
Rohana in bronze or silver would look sick!
S55 getting a fat makeover 😍😍 F-Chassis goated for comfort and ease
As an n54 owner, I approve of this message 🤣
so excited for this build
the 528m wheels are beautiful
staggered setup with something really wide and a big dish on the back
Rotifor QLB black with red center cap
You need a bigger garage, lol. I am building a barno, 48×48 garage. I can't wait. Not only that, but I can have more cars and flip some cars.

Richland forged 359m style wheels for 1 series?
HRE FF04 would look great on M4👌
Any bad experiences with your last set of BC forged from a few years ago? Was wondering about the quality. Looking at a set for a G87 M2. Thanks
