This huge package of treats from Canada reminds me of the events of 11 September 2001. When planes were being diverted out of US airspace, Canada stepped up, Gander township took care of thousands of people. From the generosity of brothers and sisters and being a neighbor to us, they fed and housed everyone stranded from home. Not one was lacking. Their Canadian hosts expected nothing in return. This shows how blessed we are for the neighbors we have. Also there was a Hockey game where the US and Canada were playing against each other. The microphone broke down during the US National Anthem and so the Canadian fans took over and sang our National Anthem. I was so touched and impressed by Canadian respect and the concern they showed for others. Our strength cones from our allies and our relationship with them. Our relationship particularly with Cannada makes our countries powerful. God bless America and GOD bless Canada and our troops.

First off, I have to say after watching all your videos, you really need to travel to Canada once things get back to normal. You will really love our country. As for languages, both English and French are official languages. French is primarily found in 3 of our 10 provinces, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. In fact, in Quebec the entire province is French with everyone outside of the island of Montreal are primarily French speaking whereas on the island of Montreal, the island is practically split down the middle, west side being English speaking and east side being French speaking. Tim Horton's is a HUGE chain coast to coast in Canada that serve coffee, donuts and breakfast sandwiches as well as a full menu of dinner selections, mainly sandwiches and soups. Starbucks is indeed coast to coast as well and very popular here in Canada. Loved watching you try our chocolate bars and I am truly jealous only because I developed an allergy to chocolate (cocoa) when I was 21, so I have only a distant memory of the tastes of various chocolate bars but remember Aero mint as one of my favorites growing up. Looking forward towards the second installment of Canadian snacks...I'm guessing chips... Huge hugs from Montreal XX
That is so interesting I didn’t realize that about Montreal being devided language wise. I am from Ontario and i love the french language but despite learning it in school and doing my duo lingo classes i suck at speaking french :( . Whenever i am in Montreal i try to speak french but I usually give up since most people take pity on me and just speak to me in English
23:11, we do have Starbucks in Canada! Although, I much prefer Tim Hortons. Tim Hortons is a chain fast-food. Their donuts, coffee and breakfast combos are the best, they make wraps and sandwiches, as well. Among all these snacks, my favorite is the Maple Syrup cookies. My favorite snack food, especially during winter times, after a good session of snowboarding, is a "Beaver Tail", paired with a hot chocolate. Its not an actual beaver tail, but it is a pastry that looks like one. I'm from Quebec, so I mainly speak French, but we have to learn English at school too
I’m confused, I see you’re spelling it “favorite” when anglophones in Canada spell it “favourite”. Do they teach you in Quebec to spell it without the u when learning English or was that just autocorrect?
Tim Horton's is pretty much the Canadian equivalent to Starbucks. It was started in 1964 by Tim Horton a professional hockey player, It started as a burger joint but didn't go well so he and his business partner switched to coffee & donuts and now there are over 4,000 locations around the world. Burger King actually owns the company now but because of legal reasons they operate as separate companies.
Thank you so much for the fun video. (I have to tell you that I have lived in Canada for 64 years, and have never seen some of these candies.) Yes in Canada we say chocolate bars, and not candy bar, as our American cousins do. I am French Canadian, and as another viewer said, we have 2 official languages. In Quebec, most people speak French. New Brunswick is about half and half - in fact it is the only province which is officially bilingual. Ontario also has a large group of French speaking residents, and every other province has small areas of ‘francophones’, but are mostly English speaking. Starbucks is an American company, which is found through out Canada, but Tim Hortons is the true Canadian coffee shop. If you want to try some other Canadian foods, and Atlanta wants to cook, try ‘poutine’, which is French fried potatoes topped with gravy and cheese curds. You can also try a very traditional pie called ‘tourtières’, made from ground beef and pork, mixed with shredded potato and spices. It is served on Christmas Eve in most French Canadian homes. After Mexico, maybe you can try Holland. They have some very interesting traditional foods. (My husband grew up in Holland). They also have some interesting, and unique traditions, such as celebrating Sint Nicholaas on December 6.
Omg the maple leaf cookies where my fave growing up! I'm from Michigan and we had them in big bins that u just scooped out and weighed it and they would charge you per pound. Can you tell I'm old? They don't have the bulk sections anymore. Haha but the maple cookies were LEGIT!
Do you remember what their brand was when you had them bulk ?? Im not a fan of maple at all but have tried this same brand in my taste testing videos and liked it a lot cause to me it kinda tasted like cookie butter LOL.

Tim Horton's is on every block in Canada, the most popular order is a double double coffee (2 cream, 2 sugar). So the double double reference on the Coffee crisp is a reference to the double double coffee.

Happy New Year from Canada! I watched a couple of your videos this morning and would like to help you with a few pointers about Canada. We have 2 official languages. English is prevalent in most of the provinces and territories, while French is the majority in Quebec and some parts of New Brunswick. Tim Horton's IS a chain of restaurants, which was started by a former NHL hockey player by the same name. Most Canadians consider Tim's (as we call it) a National treasure. It's not really comparable to Starbucks because the menus are vastly different. Yes, we call them chocolate bars (at least in Alberta we do, but other parts of the country may call them candy bars). Sam, it does me great pleasure to see you enjoy maple so much! Hockey is not our OFFICIAL national sport. That would be lacrosse (la-CROSS), but most Canadians (or Canuks, if you prefer) think of hockey blood as running in our veins, so to heck with lacrosse. Yes, most Canadians live within a couple of hundred miles of our southern border. This is not because we want to live so closely to our American neighbours (love to you all) but, as you guessed in the video, it's because the rest of the country is frozen solid for much of the year. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, which is the largest city this far north in all of Canada (population of the Greater Edmonton Area is around 1,000,000) and the mercury frequently plummets to minus 40 degrees celsius (also minus 40 f) for weeks at a time. However, with the proper clothing (the key is layering!) it's not that bad. Summer temps often exceed plus 30 celsius (86 degrees f), so it's not uncommon to see seasonal temperature swings of 120 degrees f between winter and summer (about 70 degrees c). Its great to see such family fun, and to watch you enjoy some Canadian treats.
Wow. Never seen those before. I'm aware of Tim Hortons, but most of those snacks travel down here in the US except northeastern states. I'm from Connecticut and don't recognize most of these brands. As I understand, Canada is a Bilingual country. Both English and French.
Great editing/effects, per usual. Love the dog. He knows: big cardboard box means treats on the way. And the sugar rush as the video progresses is palpable. 😶🙂😀😃😄😁😆😂🤣🤯
The green tea kit kats are my favorite and I usually have to order them from Japan. There are at least 3 different green tea versions, some sweeter and some more bitter.

Thanks so much for a delightful and hilarious moment in my day.💕
Hey guys! I live in the very very Northern part of Ontario, Canada and our community has a lot more french speaking people than english! It’s typical to find french speaking Canadians in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.
Yes, Canadians call candy bars, chocolate bars even if they have NO chocolate. For example, Tim Hortons Coffee Bars, PayDay, Big Hunk, Caramac, Chick-O-Stick, Zagnut?
I was just about to say the same thing and was checking to see if anyone else said it first. Chocolate bars are chocolate bars. I think only Americans say candy bars for some reason.
I'm really enjoying this video and seeing the exciting looks on your faces. I am from Canada and have always found it funny when Americans say "candy bars" instead of chocolate bars 🍫 😁 Enjoy your Canadian goodies. 🇨🇦
13:57 Nadine - yes, packaging has to be bilingual - English/French. There's no "first official language", although some provinces are predominantly English-speaking and others are predominantly French. And some are sort of 50/50. People in some areas in Quebec and New Brunswick do speak exclusively French, and most of the rest of Canada speaks English. Moi, je comprends un peu le français. :)
I gotta rectify, the vast majority of Quebec has french as their main language, some exception mostly in Montreal, and the city is still mostly french. There are a lot of Quebecois that don’t even speak english at all. And to add up more info for those who are curious, Canada was first established by France, thus why there is a good chunk of Canadian that still speak french nowadays (+/- 9 million).
There's not a "first official" language. But the French fur-trappers were here first, and in general had a much better relationship with the Natives than the English. They tended to do hard work right alongside them, whereas the English tended to sit above them and rule. French is the main language of the masses and trade in Quebec and they take their language seriously, even having "Language Police" to ensure the French language is "properly honored" (at least in their eyes). They went after Tim Horton's (a ubiquitous Canadian Coffee Shop) for having an apostrophe on their signs in Quebec! (True story!). Rather than the expense of making two different store signs, it because just "Tim Hortons" to please the French and the rest of Canada was "Whatever; where's my coffee??". French HAS to be prominent on any product or sign, with any English being inky-dinky -- or you get a fine! The Highways department has tried to get around this by removing all language and going with freaky and often confusing pictures! By contrast their neighbors (Ontario particularly) have two separate signs for each language, with neither prominent over the other. But then the French will fight about which sign comes first as you drive by! French place-names are SO long they often have to have extra-big destination signs so they will fit. Names like "L’Annonciation-de-la-Bienheureuse-Vierge-Marie-de-Nazareth" and "Saint-Louis-du-Ha!-Ha!" (I'm not joking about the last one! I tried to sent the pic but youtube wouldn't have it. I sent you an Instagram message with my e-mail. Respond with yours if you want to see it!)
I am Canadian english is the language but about 20 years ago french was added also. English is spoken in all providences except Quebec now you know french was addes to everything even our road signs
@@kelliehatch1712 Growing up, my sister duct taped me to a chair, dragged me into the middle of her room, stuffed socks in my mouth so I couldn't scream, turned off the lights, and left me there with the door closed for20 minutes. In case some of your questions haven't been answered between this and your educational reaction video to Canada: 1. We call them chocolate bars, and candy is candy. We don't use the word lollie here. 2. I'm pretty sure that the Cadbury Mini Eggs Chips Ahoy! cookies are available year round. The creme eggs are more seasonal from what I have found, but the mini eggs are available year round. 3. Canada is bilingual and has two official languages, English and French. Quebec is almost exclusively French, New Brunswick is officially bilingual, and the rest of Canada is almost exclusively English (there are the occasional French communities across Canada though, including four small towns near where I grew up in rural Sask). There are many Indigenous languages that we are starting to see spoken more across Canada as part of efforts towards reconciliation, and in Cape Breton you can often find a dialect of Scottish Gaelic. 4. Double-double is a way to order coffee from Tim Hortons (two cream and two sugars). Tim Hortons is a chain restaurant, similar to Starbucks, though with a bigger menu and doughnuts from what I have found (we have both and they are competitors, but Tim Hortons are far more common).
Thanks, this was fun to watch. Can I send you some Canadian maple syrup? The best syrup is made in Quebec, Canada, my home town. French is not the official language of Canada, it is the official language of Quebec, which is a province in Canada 🇨🇦.

What a loving family that seems to really enjoy each other's company!!
I'm just distracted by the cutest little pup in this video lol. Plus, those maple cookies are my favorite in this box. 😋
Love the doggie!
@@terrygelinas4593 The dog doesn't know chocolate is bad for dogs. Cute dog though.

Should put English first considering french is only spoken fluently by about 1/5 of the population and most Canadians don't like Quebec.

@@Sarah-qd9bq idk too,I spell it favourite with "u"
Yes, I like... LOVE Tim Hortons wayyyyyyy more then Starbucks.. idk why
👍🇨🇦
Tim Horton's is pretty much the Canadian equivalent to Starbucks. It was started in 1964 by Tim Horton a professional hockey player, It started as a burger joint but didn't go well so he and his business partner switched to coffee & donuts and now there are over 4,000 locations around the world. Burger King actually owns the company now but because of legal reasons they operate as separate companies.
When I was a kid my dad's friend use to bring those maple cookies down from Canada to New Hampshire and it was my favorite time of the year.
I’m in Minnesota so I’m close enough to the Canadian border to get those maple cookies stocked in our local Trader Joe’s. I will have to make a trip to get some now!

Ketchup chips are incredible. smuggled a few bags back to the U.S. when I was in Ontario. 😎
Yes finally an American who likes Ketchup Chips. I have seen a few food tasting videos where they were not popular. I am still assuming you can no buy them down south. Cheers from Canada.
gotta sell it on the black market
Amazon has them although they're a little pricey. I'm in Colorado and I've bought them before. They're delicious! Wish our local grocery store carried them, though.
@@Tam_Eiki I see them in the US. Think Herr's is the one I see the most. I know they usually always have them at Ollie's. Pretty sure I have seen some others as well. I know they have ketchup Doritos in Canada that is nothing I have seen but I have seen potato chips.
Tim Horton's is on every block in Canada, the most popular order is a double double coffee (2 cream, 2 sugar). So the double double reference on the Coffee crisp is a reference to the double double coffee.
This was a fun episode. Thanks for this. And the unsolved mystery was the best.

Tim Horton was a hockey 🏒 superstar. He knew that he would need an income after his retirement and tried several businesses. The second time around for his coffee and donut shop became a renowned success. Today you will find them from coast to coast to coast and across the southern border not to mention a store was opened during our years deployed in Afghanistan.
And it was recently bought out by Warren Buffett.
Amazing as always. You guys keep my heart smiling. Ty for all the laughs. You rock !!!
Hi ya,
Canada has two official languages - English and French. We are not all bilingual though. Yes, we get alot of the same foods from England ie Cadbury's chocolate bars etc. and yes, we say chocolate bars and not candy bars. Our thanksgiving falls on the second week of October and our meal is almost identical. Both Canada and the US usually have turkey for Christmas dinner.
Love your show and may God continue to bless you and your beautiful family.
Ps - Tim Horton's is Canadian and pretty popular here, we call it Timmy's for short.

I’d love to see you guys do more Canadian videos! Maybe your next one can be guessing and reacting to Canadian slang
As someone from Saskatoon Saskatchewan, most of western Canada only speaks English, even though it's required to have both on all packaging. Don't know many that speak both languages. Some French immersion grade schools. You'll find more bi-lingual in the eastern half and of course mostly French in Quebec and some of New Brunswick.
The editing on the video is hysterical!
😂🤣So much fun watching your sugar high climb.
Atlanta was so fast, none of you saw her take the candy bar 😄, and you never suspected her. . At one point the dog had his nose deep into her pocket, hilarious.

This vlog was hilarious. I really enjoyed it especially when you added the Unsolved Mysteries into your vlog. Have an awesome day family 🙂
so much love so much joy I love this family God bless all of you so much so much
Wow. Never seen those before. I'm aware of Tim Hortons, but most of those snacks travel down here in the US except northeastern states. I'm from Connecticut and don't recognize most of these brands. As I understand, Canada is a Bilingual country. Both English and French.

The green tea kit kats are my favorite and I usually have to order them from Japan. There are at least 3 different green tea versions, some sweeter and some more bitter.
The Canadian one is sweeter than the Japanese one !!! I tried them side by side in my Kit Kat taste testing video a while back.
I love the Japanese one as well. I was surprised they all hated it. Wondering if the Canadian ones are different.
I laughed so hard when you all ate the Green Tea Chocolate! I'm Canadian and the first time I tried that I had the same reaction!
I have never even seen it, and when i do I'll leave it on the shelf. I think I would anyway even if I hadn't seen their reactions!

Hey guys! I live in the very very Northern part of Ontario, Canada and our community has a lot more french speaking people than english!
It’s typical to find french speaking Canadians in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.
Wheres that? North Bay, Timmins? My grand parents were Ontario french from Hawkesbury but moved to QC in the early 1900.
As a Canadian who now lives in NZ...this makes me miss my faves from back home.
We call chocolate bars...chocolate bars. Lollies are candy.
Im Iranian Canadian and have tried most of these in my taste testing videos. What were your fave treats when you lived in Canada ??
Yes, Canadians call candy bars, chocolate bars even if they have NO chocolate. For example, Tim Hortons Coffee Bars, PayDay, Big Hunk, Caramac, Chick-O-Stick, Zagnut?
I was just about to say the same thing and was checking to see if anyone else said it first. Chocolate bars are chocolate bars. I think only Americans say candy bars for some reason.
@@thestingman2966 They're freaks lol
@@thestingman2966 its a legal thing. They literally aren't allowed to advertise them as chocolate bars because there isn't enough chocolate.

Names like "L’Annonciation-de-la-Bienheureuse-Vierge-Marie-de-Nazareth" and "Saint-Louis-du-Ha!-Ha!"
(I'm not joking about the last one!
Me: "I can't believe she stole a candy bar and then *blamed her son!* What kind of mother would do such a thing?"
Atlanta: "PLOT TWIST!"
😂
LOL made me laugh so hard :)
Personally, I thought she was awful for blaming her little brother when Atlanta knew she had stolen it from her family and put it in her pocket
@@kelliehatch1712 Growing up, my sister duct taped me to a chair, dragged me into the middle of her room, stuffed socks in my mouth so I couldn't scream, turned off the lights, and left me there with the door closed for20 minutes. Another time, she got mad that I couldn't help her with something on the computer, so she swung an extension cord full force at the back of my head, prongs facing me, knocking me clear off the couch and giving me a concussion that made me lose my balance randomly for three days. The list goes on.
I think blaming her brother for her stealing a candy bar is one of the nicest things a sister can do 😂
Canada has two official languages. English is spoken in most provinces. French is spoken in Quebec, and New Brunswick is bilingual.

I'm from Canada (Saskatchewan), and I am really enjoying this video. Most of this stuff I haven't actually eaten, so it's entertaining to watch you, and it's awesome that Timothy sent this to you. In case some of your questions haven't been answered between this and your educational reaction video to Canada:
I'm looking forward to your next video trying out the rest of the Canadian food in the box.
