This is an awesome collection. I just wanted to say that the date on the bills is not the year they were printed, but the year the bill design came into circulation. All notes of the same denomination with the same design will have the same date even though they may have been printed in different years. The '54' issue for example was printed right up to 1968.
Just an FYI, the 1st series of Canadian bank note was made in 1935 and included a $25 bill and a $500. They also made an English version as well as French in each.

For future reference uncirculated means no creases what so ever a lot of the ones you said that we're UNC definitely where.. but you have a very nice collection I am from America and I pretty much have the American version of your collection LOL but I have recently started collecting Canadian banknotes and I'm jealous I wish my Canadian collection lookrd like yours

Honestly I don't have much experience with cleaning bank note sleeves ...once I have put the bills in, I don't take them out. If you are talking about cleaning the exterior of the sleeve, then I suggest carefully taking the bank note out, clean the sleeve (can just use a slightly damp towel), and then put the note back in.

If its Canadian, I suggest first going to your local banks, they might have some older notes and then you just swap with them for face value. Colonial Acres also has many Canadian banknotes at very decent prices (I got all my 1935 bills [1,2,5,10,20, 50, 100]) from them for only $300 but the face value of them are already at $188. If you are looking for world bills, I guess it would depend on if you want old or relatively new, modern notes...if you want modern notes, just go to the local currency exchange, if old, Colonial Acres sometimes has good bulk deals but Ebay has a much wider variety of notes you can get.

Hi sorry serial numbers are not my forte. I would try to get more info from the person who told you it was worth money and see what he/she says. Alternatively you could take it to a coin store and see what they say but don't sell if they low ball you. I'm assuming that it's worth money because of the repeating 18's but again I'm not really into serial numbers (I care more about dates).
Cheesy Nachos lol yeh apparently people still do, the 1986 2 dollar bill still shows up now and again and sometimes if you go to banks, they have them behind the counter because some elderly person traded it in for 'real money', which is a shame because they would have made more money if they just sold it on Ebay.

Yep, the department of finance issued the dominion of Canada notes until the bank of Canada act was signed in 1935
