My 105 Series went over the pits last month to finalise the GVM upgrade done in Nov 2023, now licensed for 4.2t. It certainly was NOT cheap Front (1850kg) & Rear (3000Kg) DWIZ diff housing $9370, installation $2475 200 series brake upgrade $2035 Drivetech swivel hub kit $286 PDI 105 Brake Booster $650 33mm front, 30mm rear sway bars $1265 Dobson remote res shocks, front & rear 600kg Springs $690 Airbag man kit $550 Plus sundries Total Parts $17950 Total Labour $8290 Then of course there are the new 17in Dynamic Steel 1450kg rims and Mickey Tompson 285 Boss Baja tyres (6) $4200 ~ 30K all up. I had to then change to Club 4X4 insurance to have the cruiser insured for a realist replacement value The Cruiser has been back to Packard twice, a nut came off a upper control arm, fortunately the spring held the bolt in, then on inspection day one of the front remote reservoirs was swinging in the breeze. Both issues were fixed quickly, next week it goes back for a diff lock air leak in the diff.
Quite the list there for sures, it all adds up very quickly, I had lift and shocks already just had to upgrade rear springs from 300 to 500, fronts are still 250's but the rest is done or getting done, adding up quick..
It's in a completely different league now with braking, so glad I've done it.. haha yeh nice and quiet, made sure any marine ply work is glued and screwed and and aluminium work it lock nut and bolted, certainly helps with the squeaks and rattles
Thanks for posting the video - awesome, I didn't realise the 200 rotors and calibers would fit on the 105. So the scrub or dust plate thing that normally covers the calibers is not a good fit or you didn't want it on there? Looks nude without it!
Cheers mate, to be honest didn't even know it wasn't part of the kit ha.. not to worried that it's not there, just happy it now stops so quick, the trip to Exmouth next week with the boat will be the real test though.
Out of curiosity what components are needed for the brake upgrade? I’ve been over packard Automotive’s site and can’t find much detail. I’m not in Australia so I’ll need to piece it together. I see they have a bracket for the caliper ears but what’s the deal with the hubs? Is it just that they need turned down to fit the slip over rotor? There is basically no info about this anywhere I can find on the net, just a bunch of old men in the US comparing brake pads.
I couldn't even tell you to be honest, you might need to flick them an email mate, that part of it is well past my knowledge of it I'm afraid. All I can tell you is that it makes 1 hell of a difference.
@AndreaKirkham I was like, how did you know I had an EH, I thinnk I know who this is.. holy crap how are you haha, yeh sold the Blue/white EH as well and now have the other 1 over there for sale as well.. I'm sure it won't be my last EH 😜

Thanks for being so transparent on the cost 👍
No worries mate 👍 I'm sure they will vary a tad as time goes on though
that braking is impressive! I'm also impressed by how quiet your car is from the inside compared to mine! see you driving around quite a lot too 👌🏽

Great info, thanks for the video. There are SO MANY of us that need this or similar.
Cheers mate, just got the rear to do now and it's done ✔️
awesome Beanie, the Cruiser will stop a lot better now, have a great Exmouth trip
Cheers mate, definitely piece of mind now, can actually jump on them if I need too.
Awesome work bud,
That's what's on the cards for me, 😁
Cheers mate, the brakes are definitely worth it 👌

Feeling much safer 😎
Yes we can stop now 😅
Lots of info 😊
I think I covered most of it 😅
Wow that’s a lot of money. That’s half of my FTE conversion.
It is mate, I certainly like to go overkill don't I 😅
So caliper, disk, and front swivel are just swapped out?
Yeh mate, can go onto a standard diff housing, i've just changed mine to the Dwiz for the big gvm upgrade on it.

@@blissniques I appreciate the reply! Been checking the channel out heaps the last few days and you’ve got me super excited to build mine next year!
@@TheKuzmovka there's so many things can do to them, I've still got a fair bit to do to it but just have to wait until I can afford them 😅
Where is the EH
Which 1? The EH over east is up for sale 😉
Yellow and white
Canary yellow was always the dream
