Hi James! Thank you very much for the review of this rifle. I bought one today! Here in Brazil it was released by CBC under the name Ranger. I will have to wait for all the bureaucracy of our legislation and it will probably be in my hands by mid-November, if everything goes well...
Comprei o 24 polagadas, viu que nos EUA só tem o 18? O cano me parece que não será o mesmo e o sistema de trava também não... quem perde é o consumidor brasileiro né?
In person the stock doesn’t feel cheap like a tikka or a mossberg and you should mention the rate of twist and the fact that its hammer forged barrel and action are DLC coated a good 308 should last over 5000 rounds this barrel should go double that
Thanks for the great review! This is NOT criticism of any kind, but I wanted to share something that helps me shoot tighter groups. I find I do better when I can maintain my cheekweld through the entire group (if possible given recoil). Once I put my cheek on the stock, I never move it as I cycle the bolt until the group is done. Even with an AO scope it seems to help me. You're shooting great, so maybe there's no room for improvement! Maybe it will help others. Thanks, again!
Great review! At $750 though I don't know. I mean we're talking Bergara B-14 class rifles here. Taurus may have wanted to start out with maybe more of the Ruger American price range to test the waters. Looks like a pretty nice rifle and seems to shoot good, but in the end I think most people are going to pass just because it's a Taurus.
I have been a dealer for 20 years, please look up the S&W I-bolt. It was the worst gun I have ever held in my life, the bolt would just stick open without even a round, just checking it to clear it as to show to a customer.

They are launching this weapon in Brazil for 12k reais, it is a caliber considered restricted in Brazil so the bureaucracy is greater, it will probably be used in hunting or precision shooting
Finally a review on this gun. Great video. Thank you. What optic would you recommend for deer hunting to pair with this gun. 100-300 yards. Something that will get knocked around and rained on. Thank you in advance if you can assist.

I am still working out the rules and such, but it will not affect me much as I do not do sponsors. I will, however, need to move any hi cap, full auto, and suppressor videos to behind a .99 cent per month paywall as they will be adult only and not earning ad revenue.

You did better at explaining what you were shooting at in your video than some others. You changed my mind on this rifle.
It changed my mind, I wasnt expecting it to perform as well as it did.

The CBC Ranger in Brazil will be avaiable in 18 and 24". I bought de 24". But the barrel i think that´s not the same... Yours is better i think so

Muzzle is jumping all over the place. It's probably capable of shooting groups half that size
You would need ideal conditions with no wind, but if you locked it down and tested loads for it, I would guess .5 MOA

At that price ruger & savage hand down over a Taurus clone. Would purchase a Remington sps varmint before buying this rifle.
Being that you are unsure of Taurus products, stick to something you’re more comfortable with. I turned off this video after 1-2 minutes!
