On the strength of this Destin seems like a lazy reaction channel adding little to no commentary other than his fat face. Some dude make a lot of effort editing a flashy video and he just sits smirking in the corner of the screen watching it and pausing it just enough to agree with all of its points. Technically, he is okay legally due to the Fair Use / Transformative Content provision of Copyright Law (which is also why he panicked when music came in as he could lose all his monetisation from the video, monetisation the creator is not getting as most will be watching it through this IGN parasite "journalist" and even if he links the original video in the Description no one will give the original a view having seen the entire content here).

A lot of the information in that video Destin’s commenting on is PRESENTED DISINGENUOUSLY.
A lot of those SAME 7th gen PS3/360 games ALSO HAD PC versions (hell, A LOT OF PEOPLE don’t realize that Halo 3 AND Gears of War 1+2 HAD PC ports as part of Microsoft’s “Games For Windows LIVE” line that coincided with the release of Windows Vista; it’s just that Windows Vista ended up being such a DISLIKED dumpster fire of an OS release that a number of people ACTUALLY “rolled-back” their OS installation to Windows XP).
It was MOSTLY the 360 games and the third-party multi-platform games, but my point STILL stands.
That said, there was a stronger cadence of releases from the BIG PUBLISHERS back then and a lot of that had to do with their being naturally MORE OF THEM (since companies like THQ and Midway hadn’t yet shut their doors) while others hadn’t yet been consolidated by an EVEN BIGGER COMPANY.
A lot of it ALSO had to do with this being the generation that the Western developers/publishers REALLY hit their stride. Now, almost every major Western studio (EA, Epic, Rockstar, Ubisoft, Activision Blizzard) has one or two big “service games” that they put CONSIDERABLE time, money, and resources into to keep those “gravy trains” running while the gaming world is all the poorer (possibly) from seeing LESS overall game releases by them.

These clowns no nothing, they wanna try and call games like Stellar Blade and Rise of Ronin flops, but it’s just cause they are PlayStation exclusives, and for whatever reason they gotta sell 5 million copies or else they’re “flops” But both of those development studios said themselves they were successful. Shift Up is talking dlc for Stellar Blade and saying they’ll probably make a sequel. A brand new IP has to be very successful to green light a sequel. Team Ninja said that Ronin is their best selling game yet, and that surprises me cause Nioh 2 was amazing, and Ronin is only on PlayStation. So WoLong being on GamePass did not help increase sales on that title for sure, cause that game was multi platform day one. So for Ronin to outsell WoLong then GamePass clearly cannibalizes sales. Otherwise WoLong would have sold more than Ronin. Exclusives matter. Hell people are even trying to call FF7 Rebirth a “flop” when that should pretty much win Game of the Year. And none of those are service games. Also this idea that double A games are gonna work out better than triple A games is idiotic. Cause at the end of the day these publishers are in it for the money. And if you look at the best selling games every year they are big triple A titles. Only hardcore gamers are even gonna give double A games a chance to be good games. But the biggest audience is the casual audience, and they ain’t buying more than a few games a year. The casuals are only gonna buy the big, flashy, titles that have a name behind it, or what has a lot of buzz. They’re gonna buy Final Fantasy before they buy Rise of Ronin or Stellar Blade for instance. They’re gonna buy Resident Evil or Star Wars. They ain’t gonna buy no cheap looking double A games when they only buy a few a year. They’re gonna want the biggest bang for their buck. So triple A games are here to stay. And I buy all sorts of games, from indies to triple A. But I’m always gonna want those face melting games that are expensive as hell to make, like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok. So I wish people like Destin would stop pushing for smaller budget games, cause not only is it not gonna happen since these publishers want money. But I want the triple A games as well. Most gamers do. And I’d rather spend $70 on an awesome game, that is complete and isn’t full of MTX, that looks like it cost hundreds of millions to make. But if you don’t pay up front then they’re just gonna give us FTP games and service games that just charge you on the back end with MTX and battle passes and skins, cause they’re not a charity, this is a business.

I own a pc with 10700k 4070 32gb ram it pi sses all over my ps5 and the xbox...I still prefer my ps5 the steam shop is full of garbage games pc is fed by console gaming

FYI there are plenty of high quality games exclusive to PC, Games like Escape From Tarkov, Ready or Not, ARMA, Star Citizen, Gray Zone Warfare to name a few. Current gen consoles cannot run these games
