Imagine if they did get together on it...MS, Sony, and Bungie...and announced full on remakes of the entire Halo series...for PS5/PC...Holy sh1t the Xbots would explode. The rest of us, me anyway, I'd buy them. Add to that, and this could even just be if the only remaster the 1st...haptics, 3d audio, all the PS5 bells and whistles...I could definitely see that to bring in more sales from PS gamers. On top of that...imagine (and this is done a lot with specific 3 rd party devs), they added VR to one...like ODST...OR an entirely new game in VR, like the Sniper Elite vr game or the upcoming Metro...or Horizon VR...the possibilities with Halo on PS5 are definitely there...almost endless. Add to that, and this could even just be if the only remaster the 1st...haptics, 3d audio, all the PS5 bells and whistles...I could definitely see that to bring in more sales from PS gamers. On top of that...imagine (and this is done a lot with specific 3 rd party devs), they added VR to one...like ODST...OR an entirely new game in VR, like the Sniper Elite vr game or the upcoming Metro...or Horizon VR...the possibilities with Halo on PS5 are definitely there...almost endless. All of this could be done with Gears of War too. Nobody cares about Gears after 3 ...all they gotta do is remaster the first 3 for PS5 and they'd sell EXTREMELY well. Like I keep saying too, western games are on the downturn in general. Are there some good ones, sure...but the majority are driving away gamers these days...when you can't even put a hot chick in a game without all the journos and half of Twitter losing their sh1t, there's a problem. But I've said ever since beating Persona 4 Golden in 2012 on Vita that Japanese games are just better, and it's not all because woke garbage, although that certainly doesn't help...Japanese devs are simply FAR more creative, better story tellers, way more unique with their gameplay and combat mechanics...you name it. Shift Up proved beyond a shadow of doubt the whole women thing...they still look at gaming as escapism, not a self insert protagonist where the dev must only see themselves in the role. Gaming was always about alter egos...not yourself. That's how MANY people like a character instead of a sporadic few. And how you can play as a woman if male and vice versa, or a different race from your own...you're experiencing an alter ego and story you otherwise can't in real life. And no one wants current day politics in a Fantasy or Sci fi in another time and place, possibly another world. Politics is fine if it makes sense to the story, time, place of the game you're playing...like Final Fantasy games. And since when did games have to be made for everyone instead of demographics. The old saying with devs was always "try to make a game for everyone, you end up satisfying no one". Sh1t is just weird now, bro. My favorite games...or a couple of them are Persona 5 and Bloodborne...I'm neither a Japanese high school student nor a hunter of monsters, and to be real here, if the character in either looked like me, I'd be a perv in one (because of my actual age) or getting torn to pieces in the other, as I'm not in my best shape, have degenerative joints that are painful at all times, and I don't know how to fight with weapons like that.
Getting back to the video...as usual, I think you're onto something. Hadn't put much thought in myself besides their games just coming over, likely most of them (any where the profit is enough to put in the time and resources), but if I stop and think about your thoughts here, it only makes perfect sense. We'll just have to see if those running the show on each side are smart enough to see it.
